’s funny because someone else working (who wasn’t picking out dresses that matched my inspiration pics) actually placed a dress on the rack and insisted I would look good in it. So of course I tried every dress on, the process was a breeze, and I said yes to the one dress I didn’t think to try on- aka the one that didn’t fall in line with my original vision! The staff was so amazing, they worked within my budget and were great with alterations and having the dress ready to go for the big day! 10/10 recommend.

looking for something unique and fun. They were so great and pulled a different dress out for me to try on that had arrived in their inventory since my first visit. This dress was exactly what I was looking for. They were reasonable with their alteration prices. The only issue I had was when I went to pick up the custom veil. The veil was not what we had agreed on but it was too late to fix. I was able to make a minor adjustment when I arrived in Boston with a local seamstress.

l. I think they love the fun of being able to play “dress up” when you’re a bride as much as the bride does! The stylists selected a few other dresses for me to try on for my appointment, even though I was pretty confident that the dress I came in for was going to be the one. This was helpful for me to see just what else was out there from some of the different designers they carry. Of course I said yes to that dress, and I was pleased to hear that the dress would be honored with a trunk show discount that another shop was offering. Rosalin’s offers in house alterations and I live just down the street from the shop so it was a no brainer to do my alterations there once the dress came in. All of my fitting appointments went smoothly. The seamstress was very knowledgeable and each time I came in for my next fitting, the dress looked better and better on me. I felt so confident at the end of the process. The only drawbacks I’d state are to look at the price sheet for the alterations before committing to a dress. I spent a lot on my alterations because it happened to have lace at the bottom and to hem lace is apparently very expensive there. I had a thought of how much alterations would cost in my head and that budget was blown out of the water very quickly. Additionally, my dress was crepe and while it is BEAUTIFUL, it is also heavy. My bustle broke during my wedding reception from the weight of the crepe layer being too much on the buttons of the back of the dress. The seamstress did what she could to combat the weight by coming up with some creative ways to bustle the layers of the dress, but that was something I was sad to see happen. Overall though, I would recommend Rosalin’s as a great local bridal shop if you live in the Northern VA area!

it came in, it fit me perfectly. However, we did do some alterations in order to make it more similar to the type of style I was looking for. Fantastic job, fantastic dress, I could not have been happier.

I went to Rosalin's because I found a dress online that I loved and when I called the store, not only did they have it in a size I could try on, they were able to fit me in for an appointment right away. On the day that I went, I was well received and was given all the attention I needed. I got to try on several dresses including the one I came for (which were all beautiful). At no time did I feel rushed. All of the ladies were polite and attentive and I ended up finding my dress (the one I came for). The ladies were so understanding when I told them I needed to go home and sleep on it. I couldn't decide which color I wanted and then there was also that feeling of me questioning if it was the one since I had been disappointed so many times before. I think it took me about a week to make up my mind and call back. I asked if I could place the order over the phone since they took down all of my measurements and dress details at the appointment. They told me of yes, I could do the deposit and pay the remainder when the dress arrives. My dress came in a timely manner. Alterations were also completed in a timely manner. All in all, best experience I had wedding dress shopping. They remembered me every time I went in, which made me feel great, I even recommended them to a friend because she was having the same issues finding a dress and she got lucky there as well. I went with her to a fitting almost a year after my wedding and they still remembered me by name. I also noticed that some of the dresses they had that I saw in other boutiques were more reasonably priced. I know my dress was being sold at another store I went to before Rosalin's for $400 more than what I paid for it. I wish they were the first store I found when shopping. Either way, happy I made the decision to go there. Side note: I went dress shopping by myself and it's much easier than you think , especially at Rosalin's. They make you feel great and everything flows while you're there.

ible experience with alterations elsewhere so I decided to give it a try; I am SO happy I did. The storefront was conveniently located in Falls Church, everyone at the shop was extremely friendly and helpful, the price was more than reasonable, and Wanda the seamstress was a godsend! My dress had a completely open back which I felt very uncomfortable with – resulting in a total meltdown at my 2nd to last fitting. My mom called Wanda and explained the situation and Wanda reassured her that she’d be able to fix it and make my dream dress a reality. My dress turned out exactly the way I’d envisioned it and more! Wanda added an illusion back with lace that totally blew me away – it looked like a completely different dress when she was done, and it was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend Rosalin’s Bridal, and specifically Wanda for wedding dress alterations.

"posse" (mom and bridesmaids) once I'd found some good options. I will say that the consultants did a good job of picking out dresses that fit the styles I was considering, and I enjoyed perusing their showroom. However, the actual experience of trying on the dresses was extremely awkward -- they basically had one large fitting room, and the consultant would help me in and out of the dresses, which was fine... except that, in between dresses, she left me standing there in my underwear (no bra, because I was trying on a lot of strapless dresses) while she meticulously hung the dresses back up and got them back in their garment bags. No offer of a robe or anything. I'm not particularly prudish, but it made me really uncomfortable. I probably should have said something, but I felt too awkward in the moment. Later in the appointment, I tried on a mermaid dress. I was pretty sure I'd end up in an A-line, but wanted to see what a mermaid would look like. Trying to be diplomatic, I told the consultants that I thought the mermaid style wasn't the most flattering on me -- at which point, one of the consultants interjected something along the lines of "well, you're not that little." I'm not extremely thin, but I'm definitely not that heavy either and didn't really see why she needed to point that out. I left not long after and ended up purchasing my dream dress elsewhere. Perhaps they were having an off day while I was there, but I would not recommend Rosalin's unless they've improved their customer service significantly since my visit (about a year ago).

's was the first bridal salon I went to in search of my dream dress. When we arrived, my family and I were warmly greeted and shown to a private room, where I later tried on ten dresses. I showed the bridal consultant pictures of what I was looking for, and then she and I pulled dresses from their stock. She picked ten dresses, and they were all SPOT ON with the pictures that I showed her! She picked out a dress she thought I would like and had me try it on first. That first dress ended up being my dress! It was STUNNING and incorporated a little element of every single picture I showed her. The bridal consultant was so patient and kind while I tried on all ten dresses. Then, I told her that we had a second appointment at a bridal salon in Alexandria. She kindly made a note of the dress I liked, and she said that if I wanted to come back and try it on, they had no appointments between 2 and 3:30, so I was free to return and try it on again. My family and I went to the second bridal salon, and the atmosphere could not have been more different. The bridal consultant really didn't listen to what I wanted and pulled a variety of dresses that were nothing like the pictures I showed her. Unlike Rosalin's, we didn't have our own room while trying on dresses, and my group was (at most) ten feet away from another bride and her family. This second experience REALLY made Rosalin's Bridal STAND OUT! After trying on eight dresses at the second store, I knew that the first dress at Rosalin's Bridal was my dress. We hurried back to Rosalin's, where we were greeted so warmly by both bridal consultants and the owner. They put me back in the first dress, and they all really took their time helping me to find the perfect veil--owner included! My mom happened to mention that I am a teacher, and the owner said that she gives a teacher discount because many of her children are teachers! That was the icing on the cake! After "saying yes to the dress," the owner spent fifteen minutes taking pictures of my family and me, while we celebrated. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS BRIDAL SALON ENOUGH! They went above and beyond to help me find my dream dress, and to make the day so special.

However, our fears were completely unfounded because Ms. Rosita was, from the outset of our meeting, nothing short of genuine, transparent, honest, caring, and passionate about helping our daughter find the right wedding gown. Even when I, the weary mom, wanted to "quit" and "settle for beautiful" Rosita said, "We should look at more." And "more" did not mean "more expensive." On the contrary. I was ready and willing to buy a gown that was tagged double what we ended up buying, but when Rosita saw my daughter's smile (when she slipped her into THE gown), Rosita said, "Her smile tells me this is it!" If a soon-to-be bride is looking for a small boutique with personal service, candid opinions, a flair for style, and expert advice, look no further than Ms. Rosita, the owner of Rosalin's in Falls Church. Rosalin's should be every Nova bride's first--and last-- stop in her quest for a dream wedding gown! The shop has it all, and Ms. Rosita exudes warmth, charm, and class from beginning to end.

. The staff really listened to my ideas on what I was looking for and observed my body type to pull a small selection of dresses that really hit the mark. *The* dress was the third one I tried on. My appointment was kept within the allotted time without making me feel rushed. All follow up fittings were done on site and I was promptly informed of my dress arrival, and reminded of scheduled fittings, payments due dates, etc. Whether you find your dress here or not, I highly recommend for a positive gown shopping experience.

I did my due diligence and researched past reviews, but nothing could have prepared me for what came next. After I ordered my dress, the owner sold the business without notifying me of anything. When the expected time for the dress delivery came and went, I called and spoke with the new owners. Thankfully, they kept excellent records of all open orders from the prior owner and found my dress safely in limbo, had it delivered, and we were able to continue with all the necessary fittings and adjustments in time for the wedding. Great job ladies! Thanks for making me feel beautiful on my special day!

ins without a reservation. I went one Saturday morning, by myself, and within 30 mins, had found several strong options. The two women listened to my dress vision and were able to sort though their inventory and find exactly what I was looking for. It was perfectly efficient! When I went back for fitting the women were able to identify a few places to take in, and since they do the alterations knew what could be accomplished and how easily. They made it so easy. The shop doesn't have a lot of frills but it's easy to get an appointment. They also seem to offer their dresses at lower prices than some of the fancier shops in Alexandria.

Although I immediately fell in love with the dress, I knew I should look at a few other shops before I bought the dress. I went to a few other dress shops in the DC area, none of which impressed me. The other shopkeepers were poor at selecting dresses that worked with my body shape, and none made me feel as comfortable as Rosalin. Rosalin did a wonderful job with the fitting. The dress looked amazing on me and fit me perfectly. I am well endowed, and I wanted to wear a bra under my wedding dress. Rosalin went above and beyond to make sure I would be comfortable, altering my bra so it wouldn't show out of the dress. As a result, I felt extremely comfortable in my dress the day of the wedding. Everyone complimented my dress and how beautiful it looked on me. Rosalin is a very sweet and kind woman, a pleasure to work with. When my bridesmaids came to see me in the dress, she gave them all hugs. She is a lovely person and a brilliant dressmaker - the best combination! If you are looking for a wedding dress in the DC area, go to Rosalin's - the best bridal boutique in the area!

6 dresses for me. Though the shop is small and not impressive at first glance- all of the dresses I tried on were in good shape and there were so many dresses to choose from. I tried on the most expensive dress which I also thought would be an easy choice to cut first. Everyone I brought with me started crying immediately. Though I think the owner knew that would be the dress, she encouraged me to try on the other 15 dresses. Well that was the one. We all cried again when I tried it on again. She rang a bell when I said that was the one. Then it came down to measurements. I have been in many weddings and this was the first time like I felt i wasn't being pushed to get a size that would need altered. They were very honest. When I came back for my fitting, there was hardly anything that needed to be done. Then one week before my wedding when picked up the dress, she gave me a hug and told me what a beautiful bride I would be. I felt like she cares so much about each bride that comes into her shop. It was such a wonderful experience. And my Maggie Sottero gown was an absolute show stopper.

n mind. I shared my vision with Rosalin, and she absolutely nailed it with the very first dress I tried on with her (fit and flare, key hole back, sweetheart neckline, and lace). Every subsequent dresses I tried on after "the one" were all equally as spectacular, but nothing could beat the first one. The price of the dress made the find even BETTER. This boutique is truly a gem that you would never know is there. I only found out about it from a friend. They also are one of the only boutiques in the area that carry the Maggie Sotero line. I have already recommended her over and over again. Rosalin is amazing at what she does, and I can never thank her enough.

She is a true professional and you can tell she has been doing this for many years. I had already tried on about 30 dresses before coming here but she was incredibly patient and helpful when I expressed my concerns about trying on so many dresses and not knowing which direction to go in. She pulled some great dress options and gave her opinion but in a non-pushy way. She wasn't concerned about only making the sale, she made me feel like she truly cared about me finding my dress. In the end I did purchase a dress from her, and she gave me and my family hugs before we left.

I got my dress in time for the wedding, but still had to call several times around the time it was scheduled to come in in order to get more information and to schedule a pick-up. for (and have gone elsewhere) they can be the perfect place to get your dress (especially if you are looking for a fit and flair or lace dress, which they seem to have a lot of). I had already tried on almost 30 dresses at other places, when I decided to try Rosalins. I knew I wanted a fit and flair with a unique bottom, but I couldn't find "the one" anywhere. I saw an Allure dress online that I fell in love with and started calling around to see who carried a sample. Rosalins was the only place in the area that carried it, so I made an appointment. When we got there they told us to look through the dresses ourselves and pick out anything we liked, and they pulled the Allure dress for me. I tried on quite a few (with the help of Rosalin herself), but still wasn't loving anything until I tried on the Allure. It was THE ONE and I knew it, trouble was my mothers and friends weren't as sure. Thankfully Rosalin stood up for me and assured me that I was making the right decision, even though the dress that my friends liked better was more expensive. She also lowered the price by about $150 when we realized the dress would no longer be in my budget once I paid the designer for a large cup size in the sweetheart neckline (stupid ginormous boobs!). Lastly, I started have buyer's remorse later in the week, and showed up at Rosalins without an appointment. I had seen another dress online and started freaking out that maybe I had picked the wrong one. Rosalin pulled that dress and MY dress and let me try both on. I started crying when I put my dress on because I was so relieved that now I KNEW I had made the right decision. Rosalin gave me a big hug and told me how perfect my dress was for me! I will say I think their alterations dept may be lacking. I didn't use them because they were estimating approx $400 just to raise the hem slightly (maybe half an inch) and put in a bustle. Also, they didn't give me options for different types of bustles, just the generic one-point American bustle. I took my dress to Fashion Dream in Courthouse and they did the hem & a gorgeous 9 point French bustle for only $150.

like many other shops. Their dress prices were significantly lower than for the same style elsewhere. They also offer guidance narrowing in from styles and aspects you like. Rosalin and her staff obviously know wedding alterations and do a good job in terms of sizing, alterations, and details (they added colored loops and an extra connection so that the bustle and train worked properly on my lace gown). Everything ended up looking great without breaking the bank. Overall extremely satisfied.

They have a fabulous selection, dressing rooms that are certainly large enough for trying things on (only 3 though, so call ahead) and a pleasant (not pushy at all!) staff. Rosalin did a fantastic job with my alterations, which was primarily tailoring of lace work. And they work quickly from start to finish- once I decided to buy the dress, they had the order placed within 20 minutes. One thing to be aware of- they send you a postcard when you're dress arrives (maybe you can ask for a call, but I didn't).

e find my wedding dress. It was between two, and she let me try them both on at least 5 times each, back and forth, back and forth, until I came to a decision. She cheered and gave me a big hug to celebrate! The alterations process was just as great. I had to go through two rounds because my hem was way too long. The alterations were done well and in a timely fashion. The seamstress was so patient with my bridesmaids as they asked her to demonstrate how to use the bustle and how to get me in the dress. Also, I totally goofed and wrote down the wrong day for my final fitting. Not a problem! Rosalin told me she totally understood and scheduled me for the next available time without any type of grief! They also gave me a free garter and a gift certificate to a nearby spa as a thank you! I can't say enough wonderful things about this shop, and neither can my girls. My favorite part about this shop is Rosalin and her genuine enthusiasm and love for her job and each and every girl that walks into her shop. I hope I have the opportunity to purchase from them again!

of honor, who traveled from Indiana (my home state) to help me begin my wedding dress shopping experience. I was pretty traumatized because I was without my mom and my little sister but my best friend and I had a great weekend of dress shopping. We had visited a boutique in Georgetown and several in Alexandria before our appointment at Rosalin's. It was busy when we were there, but the ladies did a great job of helping when we wanted and letting us do our own thing at other moments - not overbearing like some other boutiques. I left with a good feeling and a vision of what I wanted. When I returned with my mom, dad, and sister in April 2012, Rosalin's was the third shop we visited and was by far my family's favorite as well. We made an appointment during the day on a Thursday and received one-on-one attention and honest explanations of alterations that could be made to dresses I liked but weren't exactly my "dream dress." They were honest about saving me some money by purchasing the "petite length" dress since I am only 5'4" - and thank goodness I trusted their expertise. It was suppose to take a little longer to receive and was estimated to arrive in October. The dress came in much earlier than I expected, which was a huge relief! My first fitting was in August and I was able to take my dress back to Indianapolis (where our wedding was held) in October, a full month before our wedding date. The seamstress was incredible. She attached a beaded (pearls, rhinestone, etc) belt I had picked out separately to my Maggie Sottero Kristin dress and it genuinely looked like it was made as part of the dress. They didn't need to do any hemming thanks to the petite length and I still wore almost 4in heels. The bustle was done very nicely and she adjusted it after the first fitting to make it even more secure. My bridesmaids, who weren't able to see the seamstress' tutorial, were able to follow the diagram she made pretty well! I can't thank them enough for being willing to have the dress steamed and ready in October so I could take it back to Indianapolis to my parent's house the weekend of my bachelorette party. It was a huge relief knowing it was safe and sound that final month of planning and I didn't have to worry about it at all during our travels home for the wedding weekend. I also picked out a gorgeous veil from Rosalin's as well. It too was steamed to perfection! =) Great experience! Hope your experience is just as wonderful!

of the gown. One of my good friends referred me to Rosalin's so I made an appointment and mentioned the general style I like. When I got there, Rosalin pulled out a few dresses for me, and the first dress she pulled out for me was the dress that I loved from the other store. Not only was Rosalin’s customer service excellent, they had much better prices. My dress was about $250 less than the snooty store. I was so excited because that’s when I knew that was MY dress. Rosalin was very kind and friendly, they made me feel like family. Definitely not a high end and huge bridal salon but definitely great service, great quality dresses that come in a timely manner, and great prices!

The service was better and the prices much lower than the other salons I looked at that day. My dress came in on time with no issues. I did not do my alterations there so I can't comment on that aspect, but everything else was great!

undred bucks cheaper which was a major savings compared to the place trying to rip me off. She is a very sweet lady and I think her shop is probably the best priced boutique in the area. I can't really comment on the dress selection though being that I already knew what dress I wanted before I came, but the place appeared to have a pretty good selection. I should note that Rosalin didn't even carry my dress but was willing to order it for me. It is a small shop but the good thing is it's never really crowded so if you bring friends/family to your fitting, it should be a pretty intimate experience. My mom came to my fitting and ended up buying her MOB gown. It was really pretty! If my girls and I hadn't already picked out the BM gowns, we probably would've gotten them from here too. I'd go here again if I needed a gown for a special event.

in mind that each alteration or change costs money, it can add up quickly. I would not necessarily recommend them for bridesmaids dress, there weren't many options and we went elsewhere for the bridesmaid dresses. But I loved my dress!

I'm not an expert, but I've never heard of fabric magically spotting itself without someone actually CAUSING it. Then went I went to try it on, she couldn't get it zipped up in the chest area. Now, I've heard of people gaining weight ... worst I could imagine. I just took my dress in for alterations there because I bought it somewhere else. Alterations were minimal, just take it in a little bit and shorten it. Of course they charged me $450 for that, which is outrageous, but expected when dealing with wedding dresses and I took it to a bridal shop because I thought they would know what they were doing and not screw it up. Then what? They have 2 weeks to make this right or else they will be buying me a new dress and paying someone else to alter it (on rush).

very helpful to me. I went to other bridal shops, such as White Swan Bridal, whose customer service was so much better than Rosalin's. But I feel in love with a dress that they had on sample sale, so I bought my wedding dress there. Even when I went back to pick it up I wasnt impressed with their service. And since I did not have much confidence in them I got it altered somewhere else. They were unwilling to go down on the price of the dress, eventhough it was a sample, and unwilling to get it steamed for free. They told me since I was not having it altered there they would not steam it for free, and it would cost $75. Needless to say they have a great selection of dresses but if you are looking for quality customer service than other bridal shops are so much better than them.

my altered bustline looked fantastic. My only complaint was that the bustle broke during the reception, so the train of my dress is beyond dirty.

r dreams, but it is just as important that my mom and maid of honor (twin sister) can join me in the fitting room and help me put the dresses on, that they can look around the store and help me pick out dresses we like, that I can try on as many dresses as I so desire, and that a saleslady helps me when I need to be helped, and that I have a nice big dressing room to try the dresses on in. Rosalin's was able to offer me all of this and more. I wanted all lace and not strapless. So the first task was finding the right kind of lace (out of the thousands and thousands of kinds). The second task was finding the right cut (not strapless, preferably v-neck in the front and back). At Rosalin's, I found the perfect, I mean perfect lace. But it was strapless. Rosalin herself browsed through her wedding dress magazine with me to show me that my dress had a 'twin' dress that was v-neck but halter. She assured me that we could order the halter and transform it into a V-front and V-back like I wanted, put in a zipper (instead of the lace-up back it had) and buttons. This was a HUGE job and I basically got to design my own dress. Rosalin led my mom and I through the whole process, and I ended up with an incredibly unique and beautiful gown that I received (and still do) hundreds of compliments on, and that I think is the absolute most incredible dress I have ever seen and worn. On top of it all, the dress itself was under $1000, but alterations (and basically re-designing, ordering extra fabric, etc) brought it up closer to $2000. An incredible deal for the service and the dress of your dreams. A+++
