My name is Derrick Fortin and I am the Owner and Cinematographer at Rosewood Cinemas. We specialize in high-quality, stylistic wedding films using advanced techniques, equipment and editing. I am also an FAA Certified Drone Pilot, which offers a new perspective on your wedding day. Originally from New Hampshire, I made the move to Los Angeles in late 2019 and have been working primarily on feature-films, car commercials and branded content at the highest level, and want to bring those techniques and skillsets back into the wedding film industry here in California. Our focus is to deliver you a momento that is artistic and captivating, and one that tells your story in the most meaningful ways. Our specialty offer is dialogue-driven highlight films, and love to collaborate with couples to bring their wedding vision to life. Serving locally in Los Angeles, California, and traveling to wherever your story takes us.

This review is LONG overdue. Derrick was so awesome to work with. I could not imagine a better experience and outcome working with him. Derrick was very responsive leading up to our wedding day. He was so easy going despite the craziness of the day. Derrick clicked so well with our group that our friends and family didn’t even realize he was our videographer! Now to the really important part. Our wedding day flew by. The memories Derrick captured for us will last forever. And boy... did he capture it. The video he provided goes beyond recording the day. He captured the FEELINGS, too! That’s what you get when a skilled cinematographer who truly cares about his work is hired for the task. Some places promise same-day editing, but Derrick took his time and the product shows his talent and the care he takes with his clients. I highly recommend Derrick for ALL your videography needs. Whether he has a partner or is working the event himself, you can rest assured that your big day is perfectly frozen in a time capsule captured in every angle (hello, drones!!!). Thank you so much, Derrick. We absolutely love our wedding video. As we approach our first anniversary, your keepsake is our way of transporting back to the best day of our lives!

We are beyond happy with our experience with Derrick. He was helpful from the day we contacted him up to the very day of our wedding. He answered every question, talked through the way he works, and calmed my nerves as the Bride. As we got closer to the day he contacted me and made himself available to talk through any last minute changes or questions I had. Day of the wedding he was onetime, the nicest person, so easy to work with, and made you feel comfortable. I cannot say enough. We just received our video and we are absolutely thrilled. One thing I was told right after I got engaged was- "you better get a videographer or you will regret it." Boy am I happy I listened! Reliving the our wedding day was so special. There are so many things you forget as your day flys by in an instant and to be able to look back and have the footage it really everything. I highly recommend Dfortin Creative...you will not be disappointed. Maggie ps. My husband's favorite part is that he is drone certified....the footage for that is breathtaking and sets your video apart from all others I have ever seen.

Words cannot express how happy we are with our video!!! Derrick is an awesome videographer who has a natural talent in this field. He keeps in touch with you all throughout the wedding planning process, and does not forget the small details that are true to you. He is very accommodating, and is willing to give you raw footage of the things that are very important to you. I never thought I would need videography for my small (13 guests) wedding... but I can't even imagine not having Derrick there to film our day! My husband did not want to spend the money on a videographer initially but after seeing his work, we were both sold! Derrick showed up early on our day and was incredibly professional, friendly, and easy-going. It's obvious that he values the work that he does and he had no problem working with our photographer. He has a keen eye for excellent shots and he even brought a drone with him to videograph the land! You absolutely MUST check out his work! Booking him was the best decision we made for our wedding!
