FIRST DO NOT BOOK AT ROSEWOOD. I’m warning you.
What to expect of ROSEWOOD: they’re going to do anything to get your money they advertise all these amazing features like in-house ...
Florist, one stop shop, a venue that care cares about you and treats you like family, dessert table, a wedding coordinator (that you pay extra for) tv screens that can play pictures of you, and they’re going to give you a sample of the dance floor with smoke and a light show. DON’T EXPECT OR BELIEVE ANY OF IT WILL REALLY BE LIKE THAT. We booked at rosewood with the main persuasion being the one-stop-shop, but then found out after months of attempting to contact the florist that they no longer offer floral. We booked a wedding coordinator (that we payed extra for) and then had her stand up us at our first meeting, after months of trying to get in contact with her. We then requested compensation for our first wedding coordinator since she sucked and didn’t hear anything from Gretchen the owner. But don’t worry they’ll make sure to get all the money they can out of you. We also never heard anything from owners or management on the floral situation and after delaying booking this for months, due to their poor communication, we went with someone else, taking away the main feature we loved: the one stop shop. They advertise that they treat you like family, but they must not be very nice to their family, because rehearsal dinner night and wedding day the staff were extremely rude. The only positive thing I have to say about this venue is that Autumn (the wedding coordinator we got after our first one didn’t answer or show up) and Stephen (the dj) are awesome and do great work!!! A few of the other issues we experienced: we submitted 150 pictures to play on the tvs the day of the wedding, they played at rehearsal dinner (which we didn’t want) and not at all at wedding. Rehearsal dinner food is pizza, delicious, but don’t expect all of your guests to get 2 pieces (especially not more then 2)as the dining manager yelled at my mother that she cant’t have more who was attempting to get her first serving of pizza. Rehearsal dinner night, Gretchen came up to me and informed me my seating chart (that I spent hours making and had a giant mirror display made for already) wouldn’t work, in a very rude tone, leaving me in tears, then walked away. She only then apologized when my husband and bridesmaid fixed the situation for them. Wedding night dinner is served on appetizer plates and the smallest portions I’ve ever seen. You have to get 4 to even feel somewhat full. For all the money spent at this place; you’d think they could afford bigger plates. On top of things they need; better landscaping or at least a weedwacker and better lawn mower to make outside look better. You also would think they would actually follow through with your signed contract agreements. We wanted and paid for a s’mores station, which was no where to be found. We wanted and paid for coffee the morning of wedding, no where to be found. We wanted and paid for photos of us to play on tv screens at wedding, no where to be found. But don’t worry what they wanted: MONEY, was definitely found for them. Charging us for things we signed a contract for and didn’t get, seems ridiculous.
(The knot doesn’t allow longer reviews so I will leave another because I’m not done)

I have attended MANY events at Rosewood; starting with my niece's engagement party, to my mother's wedding, to my sister's wedding, to my nephew's wedding, to a co-worker's weddin...
g as well as many enjoyable evenings at Sunset on the Patio! Mark & Gretch have always been professional and thoughtful hosts who demonstrate integrity and caring every step of the way. They value families and friendship, music and creativity! And the staff there at Rosewood is fantastic! They work very hard and are proud of their contributions to a rare and wonderful venue I hope everyone gets the opportunity to experience!
My wife and I were one of the first weddings at Rosewood shortly after they opened in 2016. The space and service could not have been better for our day.
We had our ceremony outsi...
de in the gazebo, which was a gorgeous natural setting, and the sound equipment outdoors worked very well. The proximity to Lake Geneva area attractions made for wonderful photos, even possible for us to sneak away in between the ceremony and the reception with our bridal party. However, for those that weren’t a part of the photos, the reception just inside down the brick path (they didn’t have the phenomenal patio space built yet- we’re a little jealous). What we loved about the space was that we had our cocktail reception in the bar/music/dance area, then transitioned to the dining room for the formal meal, and then were able to transition seamlessly back to the dance area for the moving and grooving. It really allowed people to spread out and move at their own pace and choose their own experience as the night went on. The quality of the sound/lights, and quad-screen set up showing our slideshow and other music videos made for some unforeseen awesome photos and a very special touch.
The staff had everything where it needed to be when they did. We used the on-site chef, and the food, which we had in various serving stations around the dining room, was phenomenal. We’ve been to a LOT of friends’ weddings, and still, to this day, we think we had the best food. It made us stop and pay attention to it even in the midst of the beautiful flurry of the day.
We also appreciated the referrals for people like photography and such, though we ended up using an external photographer, which we appreciated them being ok with. Being one of the first weddings, we had a number of conversations to smooth everything out leading up to it, but Mark and Gretchen were generous and reasonable hosts and helped to make our wedding truly memorable for us and all our guests.
I have hosted a birthday party and a baby shower at Rosewood at different times. In addition I have attended a variety of events (weddings, Sunset on the Patio, memorials, bridal a...
nd baby showers, music shows with and without dinner) at this venue since its opening. The venue is beautiful and flexible as to the size and type of each event with both indoor and outdoor options. I have found owners Mark and Gretch very accommodating and dedicated to serving their clients. The core staff is extremely hardworking, attentive, respectful and professional. The food has always been beautifully prepared and displayed. I especially appreciated the variety of musical talent Gretch and Mark bring to the area. The music and videography options that allowed me to incorporate personal pictures made my event very personal. Thanks for all you do to support and give back to the community.

s free, organized, communicative wedding promise to you but it’s far from that. Our guests and us enjoyed the food and we had fun dancing, everyone loved the venue also but everything mentioned in our full review just really made the entire situation disappointing and why this is not a 5-star wedding venue. Rosewood needs to work out all these kinks on the back end in order to have stress free wedding planning for future couples.
Rosewood was/has been absolutely wonderful to us! Their help with the planning and coordination was second to none. They made my wife and I feel very comfortable every step of the ...
way. With the odd times we had with COVID this past year, we ended up splitting our ceremony and reception into two different dates. Our ceremony was beautiful, intimate, and everything we could have asked for. The venue looked perfect. Now we have the Reception portion coming up, and we are excited to be able to celebrate with more friends and family in a safer environment. Rosewood has kept up to date with safety guidelines and recommendations which has made us feel much better throughout the entire process. Highly recommend this venue if you get the chance! Thank you to the Rosewood staff, and a special thanks to our planner, Beth, who has made this a wonderful experience!
We loved how Rosewood was a one-stop wedding shop so we didn't have to find outside vendors for anything! That definitely reduced some of our stress. It is also the most beautiful ...
venue we looked at, and it also happened to have the best prices we could find! We got so many compliments from our guests on the venue itself, the food, the outdoor patio, and especially the dance floor with the giant screen that showed music videos while everyone was dancing. We didn't need to bring in a lot of our own decorations because Rosewood speaks for itself. Everything is updated and has a rustic vibe. I had a very positive experience planning my wedding with the help of everyone at Rosewood, and I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding.
Rosewood is a gorgeous and one of a kind space. I am truly hoping that I get to attend a wedding at the space as a guest since we were unable to host our wedding there.
The space...
is newly renovated and we were planning a January 2018 wedding. The price is competitive for the area and the vision that Gretch and her team have built was the venue that we were looking for that would be the perfect fit. However, due to the father of the bride's decline in health, we had to scratch our plans for a big wedding and did a small wedding 9 months ahead of plan to make sure he could be in attendance.
We were extremely transparent with the Rosewood team in regards to the need to change plans, however, they still pressed to get a $5k deposit to secure our January 13th wedding. We gladly agreed to do it since we did want to have our dream wedding at their space and we wanted to contribute to the success of the new venue... but let's be real here, no one is rushing to book a wedding on a Friday in January. When we let the team know that we had to cancel our plans 6 weeks ago, they said that we could not get any of the deposit back despite never having signed a contract or anything. On our end, it feels as though they were unsympathetic to our situation and simply were gunning for the money as opposed to genuinely helping us through a situation that no bride and groom should have to go through. The team has provided no refund (even a 10 or 20% refund). Basically, they took a $5k donation and said sorry! Really disappointing that a wonderful experience ended this way.
I do recommend the space as it is beautiful and I would love to do an event there in the future, but be smart about the deposit and ask for some sort of written contract. We paid a deposit and didn't receive a service or an apology for keeping the money.
