Round Up Texas Smoked BBQ

This place really defines what bbq is and what it should be. I have been to many bbq places and all fall short of that true bbq flavor we all crave. This is the real deal. As far as I know this is the holy grail of bbq in the northeast. If you are in the NYC area you will not find tastier bbq anywhere.

My husband and I held our rehearsal dinner at our home and wanted to find a local caterer, preferably for casual BBQ, for the event. Boy am I glad we found Round Up. The venue doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is DELISH and they are great and really reasonably priced for party catering. We purchased a dinner including brisket, chicken, ribs, hot sausage, mac & cheese, slaw, potato salad, baked beans, and corn bread for an average of about $17 a head including tax and delivery (this was for a party of about 55 people). I really can't say enough about the quality of the food. The meat is all perfect (though I especially love the brisket), the corn bread is the moistest I've ever tasted (I don't usually even LIKE corn bread), the mac & cheese is amazing, and the slaw is light and tasty because it's not mayo based. Every guest raved about the food, including a family member who is a professional chef at a high-end restaurant. We had so much food I was sure we'd have a ton of leftovers, but our guests gobbled most of it up. If you're looking for a BBQ caterer in the Cold Spring area, you MUST give Round Up a try. They are a regular restaurant as well, so if you want to try out the fare first, I recommend their sampler platter.
