(better described as art), and now are excited to change our plans to have Gabriel join us for our island wedding escape in May! Gabriel was such a pleasure to work with. My fiancé and I were a bit nervous about our session as we’d probably describe ourselves as awkward humans, but Gabriel made the session fun and easy and we warmed up quickly. Gabriel’s passion for his job also came through loud and clear which had me even more excited to see the end product by the end of the evening. If you’re up for some adventure in your shoot (I.e. scaling some rocks for the optimal spot), Gabriel will be happy to scout it out and lead the way! We received our edited digital album EXTREMELY quickly and Gabriel followed up to see if we’d like any other edits, if there was anything we didn’t like, etc. And lastly, Gabriel has been very accommodating in terms of contracts. Given we’re scheduling our wedding in the midst of COVID uncertainty still, he was very transparent on his contract set up and potential scenarios which we felt were very fair. While we haven’t reached the big day yet, I’m thrilled with results to date.

er a disagreement on the ‘Act of God’ clause, he took our ENTIRE deposit. He was the ONLY vendor when re-scheduling our wedding that did this. Given the circumstances, I would not expect a re-booking fee during a pandemic, nor would I expect someone to then take the entire deposit. Every other vendor to include our venue/band/photobooth/hotels did not do anything like this. /// Also, he was recommended as Christian Wilson but then the name was changed to Gabriel Confrey, not sure why.

ng! He wasn't too directing in how he told us to be for portraits. He was everywhere for coverage of the ceremony and dancing. Honestly no complaints or concerns at all.

ture candids that don't look even a little awkward, and show everyone at their best angle. Our friends are obsessed with some of the unique shots he took- like one in a birch grove that looks like a literal fairytale. We are so, so in love with how he captured every detail of the day- from shots of the mountains where we got married, to the rings, to the ceremony, to the family... you get the idea. But Gabe's awesomeness went beyond the quality of his photography- during all the wedding stress of getting ready, trying to organize everyone etc., he was a force of calm and so incredibly helpful beyond what we ever would have expected. He didn't hesitate to lend a hand when we needed someone to drive us to the reception, and what really shone through during the entirety of the weekend was that he was truly invested in being a part of our day; and that he cared. To sum it up- Gabe is the best, and definitely the person you want shooting your wedding. We can't recommend him highly enough!!

mediately impressed with Christian's commitment to get to know my now husband and I before the shoot. Having an artistic eye myself, I was very particular about the location and style of the shoot. Christian was more than accomodating, and collaborated on my vision to help it come to life. The engagement shoot went perfectly. We had a great time shooting, and the photos were returned to us in less than a week. Christian also stayed in touch and was happy to make a few requested edits. As our wedding approached, I didn't even consider reaching out to another photographer. Again, Christian was incredibly attentive in capturing the details and shot list I was hoping to have of our special day. On the day of the wedding, he was an absolute delight. Prior to arriving, he had already gone around and scouted the locations for our post wedding shots. Upon arrival, his calm and purposeful demeanor was incredibly centering, as I got ready to walk down the aisle. When the time came to shoot in the freezing cold on the lake, he was prepared with every pose and camera angle to make the most of our time together and stamina in the freezing temperatures. Just like the engagement shoot, Christian returned the photos in RECORD time, which is SO appreciated. Every bride paces until the photos arrive, and Christian's speed certainly makes you feel special and important. I will be looking for every and any excuse to work with Christian again. Outside of our engagement session and wedding day, Christian schedules two in person meetings with us. By the time we were headed into the wedding day, Christian felt more like a friend than a wedding photographer. 2. He is prepared for everything! I gave Christian the reigns for scouting picture locations which he then planned to the extent of identifying perfect times/locations for optimal natural light opportunities. Christian even goes to the lengths of carrying a mini emergency kit, while I hope you won't need it this came In very handy when the very thin strap of my wedding dress broke : ) 3. He sticks to his promises. We received our edited engagement photos in less than three calendar days and the sneak peek shots of our wedding in less than 48 hours. 4. He's by far one of the nicest most genuine people you'll ever meet.

! I didn't realize how important your photographer is until my wedding was over, because when the day flies by, you want to be able to go back in time and relive it. Christian gives you that opportunity through his Photos. He photographs the bride and groom as well as special moments with family and friends. ease with him. He FLEW in for our wedding after moving and never complained once about doing it for the big day or the meeting prior. He even came to our rehearsal to scope out the venue and took a few shots of us! The day of, he took some suggestions from us (we really didn't want to limit his creative ideas) and ran with it. Every.single.photo. he took was absolutely breathtaking and he only wanted what was best for us. Having a bridal party of 18, plus a bride and groom and parents can cause stress, but Christian made it a breeze! Not only was he amazing pre-wedding and the day of, but he sent me back our photos a few days into our honeymoon!!! We were so excited to see some of the pictures while sipping frozen drinks on the beach reliving the day that flew by. I was able to order my thank you notes while away, which was amazing considering my type-A personality. We are more than happy we chose Christian to document the most important day of our lives, and my little sister is already hoping to book him for her future wedding (she isn't even engaged!). Christian, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for capturing the emotions of the day more than I ever knew was possible. You rock!! PS - Maybe think about getting into newborn photography if that day comes..?? ;)

For anyone who values the quality of your wedding photography I would highly recommend Christian. Also he got our edited photos back to us the day following the wedding. I have friends who have waited weeks and even months to see their photography. In the meetings leading up to the wedding he was very flexible working with our schedule and did a wonderful job helping us to figure out a timeline for the wedding day. On the day he arrived early and stayed with us until we were done! He was a saint trudging through the forest with us in 30 degree weather so we could get those perfect shots in the woods .I literally had snow boots on under my gown and he was still willing as can be to go to the perfect spots he had scouted prior to the wedding even with the less than ideal. It was freezing and we were so appreciated of his willingness to take the time needed and not rush through the portraits. His directions were very easy to follow and never felt over bearing.He was totally open to trying different things and ideas we had come up with. It's really comforting when you feel your photographer is honestly invested in getting amazing pictures instead of treating it just like another job or hobby. My husband and I agreed that he was the "glue" that held our schedule and wedding day together. We did not have a wedding planner and it was reassuring having someone there that was so experienced. I could go on and on about how happy we are with our photography experience with Christian but instead I'll go back to drooling over our gorgeous photos!

oing to waste our time. I have already looked at our wedding photos 100 times, and still tear up- the shots are more than incredible, and I still can't believe the moments he was able to capture. I would hire him again in a second.

We were sold though when we found out how detail-oriented, communicative and sincere he is. Christian kept up with us each month, checking in to see how things were going, even dropping me a note to check on how our move to the new house went. In addition to being so personable, he scouted our location weeks ahead to make sure his setups were worry free and even sent us photographs of ten portrait locations that we could pick from. He arranged for food and water to be brought with us during portraits (such a good idea), and somehow made herding our families seem effortless. If that wasn't good enough, he sent us ALL of the digital files of pictures he took instead of charging us for prints. Everyone at our wedding loved his warm humor and positivity and loved him even more after we saw our photos! He has a rare gift of being able to put everyone at ease. Overall we couldn't have picked a better photographer, even if we didn't have such a small budget. He's a true talent!
