We had a wonderful experience with Royal Carriages! We booked them to drive us on our wedding day from our hotel after the first look, to Jackson Square for additional photos. It is a memory we will cherish forever. They were incredibly communicative, educated, and easy to reserve. I enjoyed my experience with everyone - from booking to the actual ride. Highly recommend!
We used Royal Carriages for our exit from our wedding reception. It was beautiful for taking photos and the BEST way to end the evening. Tom and I are still relishing in the peaceful ride through the French Quarter and all of the well wishes we got from strangers throughout the city. From reserving the service to being dropped off at our hotel was nothing but a nice experience.
Send off for our wedding ending with getting in a horse drawn carriage, perfect ending to a fairytale wedding!
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!! We had a horrible booking and customer service experience this past weekend. Due to impeding weather in the area, the stables and the office were shut down. Unable to get in touch with the company for 24 hours, we were unable to confirm our tour booking with the company after attempted phone calls and emails to the tour operators. Our intentions for calling in advance of our tour, outside of confirming tour operations, were to inform the tour operators in advance that 4 of our 7 expected, and paid for, guests were unable to fly in to New Orleans due to weather constraints and to see if a refund could be issued in advance for those unable to make the tour. Upon finally getting in contact with Royal Carriages after the tour time had passed (without any knowledge that tours had resumed that date and therefore, unable to participate on the tour) we were informed that we would not be able to receive our money back. Nancy, a manager at Royal Carriages had absolutely no compassion towards weather implications that restricted their ability to communicate with us and our ability to confirm if our tour was scheduled. An organization with true professionalism would have been understanding of the situation and the faults of both parties and offered a refund on payment. DO NOT BOOK WITH ROYAL CARRIAGES!
I wanted an easy exit at the conclusion of our second line. Royal Carriages made the process simple and were waiting on time in the area we planned. The carriage looked lovely in the pictures and made for a really fun ending to the celebration.
They cancelled on us the week before our wedding! Awful service
Booked this company in September for April wedding. Called them a week before the wedding to confirm everything. Three days later they call to cancel because they claimed their insurance company would not allow them to do business because of the French Quarter Festival. This did not leave much time to obtain alternative transportation for the bride and groom. Very disappointed in this company.
Royal Carriages were easy to work with and offered needed advice regarding carriage amounts, packages, pick up times, etc. The carriages and drivers were very nice and of course the mules were beautiful! The one thing we were disappointed about is that we were one carriage short of what was in the contract so some of our guests had to take a taxi to our ceremony. We were reimbursed quickly though as well as receiving numerous apologies.
This was a perfect way to arrive to our Wedding dinner destination in the French Quarter. We were given a beautiful tour of some amazing building including St Louis Cathedral and the Oldest Tavern where the waiter came out to our carriage and took our drink order so we could have a drink as we rode along the beautiful streets with our driver and guide. If your a romantic this is a must. Our ride came to an end just in time for our reservation at Muriel's.
