While this was for a 1920's Speakeasy Casino Night, I would recommend The Royal Dukes Band for any occasion. And finally, the photographers that were present for the two-day event were equally professional and knowledgeable. The quality of the photos is superior. ere able to see the Royal Dukes at a showcase before we booked, so we knew they would be great, but we were blown away by their performance at our wedding! Our dancefloor was not empty even once while they were performing. No one wanted to leave at the end of the night! My husband and I are so glad we decide to do a private last dance at the end of the night before our exit. It was one of the most memorable moments from the day - having a private performance all to ourselves!
Scotty was absolutely amazing! So talented, fun, and did a great job MC'ing as well. The entire band was full of talent! Marisela, who assisted with all of the planning behind the scenes, was also a joy to work with. She was organized and professional throughout the entire process.
I would highly recommend Royal Duke's and would book them again 100%!

My family expressed some budget concerns in the very beginning, knowing that hiring a band would be an investment. If this is you, rest assured that Royal Dukes Band is worth every penny. Their people are kind and interactive on the stage. They took every song request and every portion of the reception in stride. They also provided LOVELY, classy dinnertime music for our guests to enjoy while eating. In addition, they incorporated a private last dance for my husband and I to take in the final moments of our wedding reception. Every detail was perfectly executed and the talent of the MC, musicians, and vocalists shined through. We will ALWAYS recommend them!

The jazz trio really set the mood for the cocktail hour and the seven-piece party band got everyone out on the dance floor at the reception. The Royal Dukes even arranged for the string duo that provided music for the ceremony. The three different types of live music made the whole wedding a very special experience for everyone! The Royal Dukes also provided the music for our other son's wedding so that says something when you hire a band for a second time. Both times The Royal Dukes came through for us in providing an exceptional music experience!

were country music and pop music. We gave some of our favorite songs and artists, and the band delivered! Even if the band didn't know any of the songs by the artists we liked, during their breaks, they curated their iPod playlist based on our likes. We were never not on the dance floor! They really curated the music to our liking, and how the guests were feeling in the moment. We got so many compliments on the music and what a fun time it was. Leading up to the wedding, Ben was quick at replying and answering any and all questions I had (which were a lot). He was kind and informative, and kept us up to date. He even provided an example playlist that Scotty had performed at a previous wedding so that I could get an idea of the songs he would be able to play. Overall, an amazing experience and I cannot recommend Royal Dukes Band and Scotty enough!

They were very thorough in making sure they had all of the information needed to make the night smooth. They are very talented and had a range of style of music they could play. The one thing to keep in mind- they pair you with your lead singer based on your first conversation when you book and can’t change it afterwards so make sure you have an idea of style of music you want.

ng about them afterwards and they absolutely understood the assignment. I'd particularly like to mention our saxophonist, Eric. We had requested him specifically, and we received more compliments about his playing than just about any facet of our wedding. They did an awesome job with our first dance songs, brought a super fun energy for 3.5 hours, and threw in lots of special touches that made us feel like they really wanted to go above and beyond. My best man had broken his ankle shortly before the wedding, and was riding a knee scooter. Hearing that lots of speeches (his included) were having a good laugh about it, the band played "Boot Scootin Boogie" and called him out to the dancefloor. Everyone went wild while the band played and he scooted around, and he had a truly awesome time. I was blown away that our band could make such a special moment for him and for us just by reading the room so well. They were easy to work with, accommodated last minute suggestions, played our desired time stamps perfectly, did a bang up job on the hora, and nailed the song selection and performances to the delight of our guests. For this outstanding service, we paid probably 25-50% less than quotes we received from other bands. One of the best decisions we made during the wedding process.

king experience. I would recommend getting them your set list as early as possible, along with the songs you want for specific dances (first dance, last dance, etc). There were some iPod moments, as highlighted in other reviews, but they were few and far between.
The most fun part, wedding aside, was picking out our musicians from their showcase. If you work with Marc, you’re working with one of the best in the business. The musicians were hard working and went by their set
schedule. We opted for a 6-piece band, and they were absolutely worth it. We are still getting comments on how good the band was. They even let the guitar-playing
groom go up and play some songs with them. As good as the band was, I really want to mention the sound guy. He had the volume just perfect for our venue.
Overall, I would recommend The Royal Dukes for your wedding or corporate event. They are consummate professionals who not only value your time, but your experience as well.

The whole process made me realize how professionals work and know how to ensure the night goes well. They understand weddings! I had specific music style requests and Tom from the Royal Dukes made it happen. The whole planning process was extremely organized. Tom reached out often and made sure we were on the same page. Every detail and expectations were clear. On the day of the wedding, they arrived, were really organized, and set up on time without any issues (that I know of). This was important because, as the bride, there was way too much going on that day but I didn't have to worry about the band. They had everything down so well. Again, Tom, Rod, and the rest of the band are such professionals and all so talented. I loved working with them, and enjoyed listening to them even more! We loved our wedding night and a large part of that credit goes to this band. So happy with Royal Dukes and definitely recommend!

the music, but I think the more telling sign was that the dancefloor was only empty during their short breaks - even had grandma out there with her walker.
Amy was awesome to work with and gave up a lot of time to talk through the details to make sure everything was just right. Our venue required moving some equipment for different parts of the wedding, and they didn't even blink handling anything that was thrown their way.
10/10 would book them the next time I need a band!

We had our wedding at Elm Pass Woods where there has never been a large band play there before. Even though the venue is completely outdoors with no set stage, Marc was very easy to work with to make it happen! All our special requests on songs were MET with no question! The owners of Elm Pass Woods are sold on having this band come back for future weddings.
We opted for 7 pieces and it was so worth it! It sounded amazing and the singer even joined us on the dance floor (girl crush!!!). Then there was the song Shout and only those that were there could attest to how the party got real fun during that song...LOLLL!
Thank you so much Royal Dukes Band! You made our wedding AMAZING!!!!! I want to relive that night! What a party! Recommend 10/10!
