Royalty Events is truly the best venue I’ve ever experienced. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that every detail has been thoughtfully planned and designed with care. The owners genuinely go above and beyond to make your event as flawless and stress-free as possible. I hosted my event at Royalty Events, and I wouldn’t consider hosting an event anywhere else in the future. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made me feel like they cared about my event just as much as I did. The owners definitely made the experience way better than I could have ever imagined. If you're wanting an event to remember without any added headaches than Royalty is the place to be. I can’t recommend them enough!

Founded in 1906 by owner Richard's grandfather, this property has taken great pride in being a setting where friends and family have gathered to create memories for generations. With beautiful countryside scenery, one-of-a-kind event spaces, and friendly staff, you can host your dream wedding day here that will surely wow guests! Depending on the time of year, you'll experience stunning seasonal sight changes such as hay bales, wheat crops, and animals at the Royalty Event Center. To begin your exciting day, you'll get ready in the wedding suite with your glam squad and close loved ones. For your ceremony, you can exchange your vows outside on the manicured grounds with the rolling fields as your romantic backdrop. After you've said, your 'I dos', you and your guests can enter the lovely white barn for your evening meal and reception. In August of 2025, I had my wedding at this venue. It took nearly 6 months to come up with the words to describe my experience. To put it simply, it was great until it wasn’t. The...

booking process was smooth and seamless. Princess was warm, accommodating, and answered our questions. We visited a couple of times prior to booking and she was always helpful. Leading up to the wedding, she remained polite and quick to respond. The night before the wedding, everything was still running smoothly. Princess was on the property finishing last-minute details while we decorated. She helped my bridal party and I choose table layout, finalize decor, and gave feedback on our ideas. Day of, she made the girls and I breakfast. Up until this point, I had not met her husband. Throughout the day we experienced communication issues and power struggles regarding timelines, ceremony seating, branding fire, ice usage, and more. In hindsight, it felt like certain aspects of our day were being obstructed. Many of these issues were kept from me until later so my husband and I could enjoy the day. I later learned Princess told my bridal party and coordinator that my husband and I were her point of contact all day, which was false and caused additional stress. She also appeared upset that I hired a coordinator, a service she never offered. Princess argued with our day-of coordinator and was rude to her throughout the day. Her husband was extremely rude to our caterer while they were bringing in food. Nearly all of our vendors had poor interactions with Princess or her husband. During cleanup, Princess yelled for me about an issue with a guest helping clean. She claimed my husband was aware of the issue and did nothing. When I asked, my husband said this was the first he had heard of it. While I tried to de-escalate, her husband yelled and cursed at me. When my sister stepped in to help, he began using homophobic slurs toward her. The situation quickly became chaotic, with guests upset and crying while no one clearly understood the original issue. Princess called the police. We were given multiple conflicting reasons why. The officer spoke mainly with Princess and her husband while we finished cleanup and prepared to leave. We received verbal confirmation that the venue was clean. Princess later said we were not the issue, only a few guests. A month after the wedding, we received a $200 bill for a bar scratch and a $75 cleaning fee. Outside repair quotes were not allowed. Communication afterward was nonexistent until her daughter contacted us five weeks later and we reached a resolution. It was devastating to experience this on our wedding day. I never expected it and hope it doesn’t happen to someone else.

We do, however, want to address the concerns raised about the wedding day itself. Our top priority at every event is the safety of all guests, vendors, and staff, along with the care and protection of the property. During your reception, several situations arose that required staff involvement to manage disruptions, maintain compliance with venue policies, and ensure the event could continue as safely and smoothly as possible. As tensions escalated later in the evening, local authorities were contacted strictly as a precautionary measure to help de-escalate the situation and support an orderly conclusion to the event. Throughout the day, our team worked closely with vendors and designated contacts to coordinate logistics, timelines, and operational details. While we always aim for fluid collaboration, we are also responsible for enforcing venue guidelines, including those related to fire features, ice usage, vendor load-in procedures, and cleanup protocols, all of which are outlined in advance within our rental agreements to meet safety, liability, and insurance requirements. We take any allegations regarding staff conduct seriously. Our team is expected to remain professional at all times, even in high-pressure environments. When challenges arise at the conclusion of an event, our staff is trained to focus on de-escalation, policy adherence, and clear communication so that matters can be resolved efficiently. Regarding the post-event charges, the fees assessed were connected to documented property damage and additional cleaning requirements identified after departure. These were issued in alignment with the terms of the signed contract. We remained committed to resolving the matter respectfully and appreciate that a mutual resolution was ultimately reached. Weddings are deeply meaningful occasions, and it is never our intention for any couple to leave feeling upset. At the same time, we must balance hospitality with our operational and safety responsibilities. We stand by the actions taken that evening as appropriate given the circumstances. ou recognizing the beauty and care that goes into maintaining the property. We would like to clarify the booking process to ensure accurate information for future couples. At the time of your reservation, the deposit was collected to secure your date, which is standard practice within the wedding and events industry. Because you were not local, we discussed the contract terms with you verbally prior to booking, including the nonrefundable nature of the deposit. This reflects the fact that once a date is reserved, we turn away other inquiries and business opportunities for that same date. A physical copy of the contract was then mailed to you for signature as an accommodation to your location and scheduling constraints. This step was taken to ensure you had the opportunity to review the terms in writing, even though the date had already been secured at your request. We strive to operate with full transparency and clear communication throughout our booking process, and we regret if there was any misunderstanding. Our policies regarding deposits and date reservations are consistent for all clients and are in place to protect both the venue and the couples we serve.
