It was impossible to call Royalty House and when I got an email about my refund, it seemed they were annoyed we were asking about the check. There's apparently been changes to the story of why they canceled everyone's events. We are highly annoyed because two weeks before the email, we went to talk about dinner, seating, and paid for another hour. I don't recommend this banquet hall at all. I would be more understanding if they handled this better, but it was such a poor way of doing this.

. I don’t even know who our coordinator for the day was supposed to be as a consistently spoke with different people. They never called me and when I would call them to organize things it was like I was a burden or was bothering them with my phone call. I saw one person who I assumed was the coordinator only once during the night of and all she did was ask if we could delay dinner by 10 minutes. I said ok and we ended up delaying our intros much later. She never came to check in after that. Even with the delay and me sending them the itinerary ahead of time and telling them that dinner would be served at 6:30, they were late to serve dinner. The servers thought dinner was supposed to be served at 7:15. I had to tell them to serve the dinner asap. The champagne at our head table wasn’t even popped and poured for us ahead of time. We had to ask someone to do that well after we sat down. The music next door to us was the worst part! They didn’t coordinate timing of noise/music between the rooms. All I could hear during our speeches was the DJ’s music next door and DJ yelling “yeah!” “go!” into the microphone very loudly. Meanwhile, the waitstaff in my ballroom were just standing in the corner watching, not taking action to maybe turn down the music in the next room or anything. My guests had to shout to whoever was saying their speech that they needed to speak louder into the microphone. This was simply unacceptable and embarrassing! (It's not like I could get up out of my seat at this point to ask the staff to do something. They really should have been proactive or at that point reactive instead of no action at all). I spent so much time trying to communicate with the royalty house and they really let me down. The only good thing I can say was that the guests thought the food was good. The bar tender was attentive and drinks were good as well. However, the waiters cleared tables way too quickly that my guests complained they could never finish their plates. If they got up for a second, their plate was gone. And my guests who requested vegan or veggie meals never got their meals either; even though we told the Royalty House which tables needed veggie options ahead of time. We paid for premium drinks and then we found out that the only 2 beers they were serving was Budweiser and Bud Light – which to us is not premium beer. They never asked us what kind of beer we wanted to serve and never went over the drink options with us ahead of time. I felt like we were forgotten between the other two events, even though we were the first ones to book our day well before the pandemic even started. We are disappointed and I really regret hosting my event at the Royalty House.

It was so nice we got to taste the food when we got home that night and were thrilled with the results. Everyone raved about how good the food was. Also this hall has no drink limits so if your party drinks mostly Captain and coke they never run out of the Captain it is endless. That was improtant to us. everyone else's premium bar. You do not have to pay extra to have a standard bar at Royalty House, and most other locations charged between $4 and $8 per head. It was also inexpensive to upgrade the bar (which we didn't have to do because we already had top shelf liquor, but we chose to so we'd have everything possible). The food was outstanding. I am a very picky eater, and the dinners we chose were excellent. I have absolutely no complaints.
