After more than a decade of photographing weddings, we’ve learned something that matters:
The couples who love their photographs the most are the ones who were fully present on their wedding day.
Not managing it.
Not performing for it.
Not feeling rushed by it.
Present.
We believe weddings aren’t meant to be staged. They’re meant to be lived.
Too often, couples get pulled out of their own day—distracted by logistics, overwhelmed by timelines, or made overly aware of the camera. That’s where we come in.
Our role isn’t to control the day. It’s to protect it.
Through deep listening, intentional planning, and calm guidance when needed, we create space for you to breathe, connect, laugh, cry, hug your people, and actually feel the wonder of what’s happening—while we document it honestly and beautifully.
We’re proactive with timelines. We collaborate with your vendors. We anticipate moments before they unfold. And when it’s time to step back, we disappear so the story can happen naturally.
This work means too much to us to treat it like a transaction. We’re intentional about who we work with—and we’re drawn to couples who care about how their wedding feels just as much as how it looks.

We worked with Blurred Line for our engagement shoot and were instantly impressed with their knowledge and skills. Over the course of wedding planning, I bombarded them with emails...
as things came to mind or with a few changes, to which they graciously spent extra time and care responding and even had an extra meeting with us to make sure we were in the same page. They even showed up for our rehearsal to discuss everything with us and our Day of Coordinator.
When it came to the day, they were professional, friendly with everyone, and running around like crazy to get every possible shot. They really went above and beyond and we are so happy we hired them. I especially want to note how fantastic they were with our young nephews—they had them in a giddy trance while they got the best possible family photos. For the turn around time, we got our sneak peeks within a few weeks and they were transparent about timing of most of the remaining photos which took about a month and half. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Royce and Ann’s energy is absolutely unmatched. From the very beginning of meeting, (1 year before our wedding date) they filled us with so much warmth and love. Royce and Ann go completely above and beyond for their clients and truly take the time to listen and get to know you and your partner on a personal level. Not only did they take our photos for our wedding day but they also took our engagement photos. We were so impressed with how beautiful the photos came out and are so blessed to have them to look back on forever.
Their skills, vision, and professionalism are astounding, and I would absolutely recommend them for your every photography need. They give amazing advice, and truly are gifted at making you feel comfortable in front of the camera for the first time. Our wedding day was so much brighter because they were there to share it with us. And the biggest plus is they are AMAZING with children and family 🥹 you will not regret choosing them as your photographers!

It is not an exaggeration to say that this is one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life (and a decision that was made after about 6 months of research and comparison amongst over 100+ wedding photographers).
- Outside of photography, Royce and Ann have the most incredible energy and sincerity about them. They are insightful, kind, warm, and truly set themselves apart from other photographers that we talked to. We were instantly put at ease with them and it felt like speaking to a friend that you were looking forward to catching up with rather than someone who was just taking photos.
- Royce and Ann were amazing in every single communication that we had with them. They answered any and all questions we could have possibly wanted to know and were proactive when communicating to us (which was invaluable when it comes to having to juggle all the other wedding planning priorities and timelines)
- They also studied the people who were closest to us with photos, names, and bios so that the day of the event they were already integrated and knew people and were able to help people feel more comfortable
- They made our story their paramount priority and asked incredible questions about who we were, our vision, how they could make it happen
- They also kept us on track the day of our wedding (even more so) than our on-site coordinator to ensure that we were able to get all the shots we needed
- They provided us with recommendations of locations, timing and coordination of all of the best places for photos and what type of photos we could shoot and when all based on independent research they had done
- Royce and Ann worked tirelessly throughout the event and were literally everywhere capturing everything. By comparison, there were many other weddings that I've attended where the photographer was nowhere to be found and had to be told where to go and what people wanted photos of
- One of the greatest moments came from me experiencing how they were interacting with our loved ones. Their ability to adapt to an large amount of diverse people and personalities and make everyone comfortable and natural to bring out the best in them was incredible
- Royce and Ann both worked seamlessly with each other to ensure that our lighting, backdrop, framing, and poses were perfect. There was a level of coordination and artistry in what they did that exceeded anything I could possibly imagine
- They were able to blend in seamlessly with the wedding and capture truly magical moments that can only come from photographers of their caliber

over a decade and he has photographed several weddings and special events for our family. I had no doubt that we would use him as our wedding photographer. Royce pays attention to detail and takes the time to make sure he understands the couple and knows what they want. He made sure no special photos were missed and was easily able to deal with our large family, including six flower girls ranging in age from one to ten years old...he is wonderful with kids. Royce and Ann were focused and energetic, making sure photos didn't take too much time away from our special day. We felt we were able to get all the photos we wanted while still enjoying all aspects of our celebration. Neither one of us is particularly photogenic, but Royce was easily able to coach us to get the most flattering poses. I could not recommend Royce and Ann enough. We can't wait to work with him again for our July newborn photos :).

They really go above and beyond to make sure you have the best pictures, but also feel happy in the process. The months leading up to our wedding Royce and Ann would frequently check in, give advice, ask questions, help with wedding day timelines, and the list truly goes on.
Our wedding day went by so smoothly because both were so organized and professional. When we received our photos, there was not a dry eye in the room. We could feel the emotion in the photos, along with really unique moments that bring our wedding day to life every time we look at them.

use it was the best photo experience ever. Not only are they incredibly artistic and talented, but they also really care about their clients. Royce and Ann had lots of check-ins with us and really made sure they understood our vision. They are incredibly insightful, organized, and SO FUN to work with. We ended up doing a mini engagement photo shoot with them and it helped us to not only feel comfortable in front of the camera but also gave us so many helpful tips to make our photos look natural. A few weeks before the wedding, they put together our entire wedding timeline for the day which honestly alleviated so much of our stress. Working with Royce and Ann didn’t just feel like they were a vendor that was hired to photograph our wedding, they really immersed themselves in our experience and were a big part of the event. I am beyond thankful that they were available and decided to work with us because I cannot imagine having gone with anyone else. We received all of our photos and I could not be more pleased with how they came out. I find myself going through them often because they did such an amazing job at capturing such a special moment. r work on Instagram. The quality and style of their images stood out in a crowd of wedding photographers. We were looking for a candid-style wedding photographer with an eye for color that is both modern and timeless.
Blurred Line's vibe aligned exactly with what we were seeking. They are passionate about telling the story of a couple and their families, with rich, thoughtful, candid photos and breathtaking showstoppers. After meeting them over the phone, it became clear that we had found a great match, both in terms of style and personality. We had tons of questions, all of which they answered with ease.
The connection and ease we found with them shows through in the final product. Neither of us had been photographed professionally like this before, and while we did feel a bit awkward at first, Royce and Ann knew how to make us feel like we were just hanging out with a friend.
We also did an engagement shoot, which at first we were doubtful about. I'm so glad that we went ahead with the session, it gave us a chance to practice posing and working together ahead of our wedding. We have the most beautiful unrushed photos from that magical time, before our big day.
On a practical note Royce and Ann were consistently communicative, agile and punctual throughout the entire process. They were an absolute joy to work with. They shared tips and best practices throughout, so that we could benefit from their years of experience.
They also were incredible and flexible throughout - our wedding fell in the middle of the COVID pandemic; and they did not miss a beat. Our photos are available through a gallery on their website - so that our family and friends across the country, can easily view and enjoy them.

r wedding took place at the Winchester Mystery House in June of 2019. Right away in our consultation, we knew we were in good hands. Royce's presence is at once highly professional and incredibly friendly, and he brought up so many things we never would have considered (including assistance with timeline planning, putting him in touch with the venue to scout locations and angles, sun placement, and so much more), and let us know in detail how everything would go, from our engagement shoot, to a typical day-of schedule, to how their packages work. I am so impressed by the amount of behind-the-scenes work that they did to make everything as seamless as possible.
They assured us that we would be able to maximize the time spent enjoying our day, and they absolutely delivered on that! Photography sessions during the wedding day were broken up into sections that allowed us to spend quality time with our guests, and also to give us time as a couple to really soak in the day. We had a chance to spend time, just the two of us, taking in all the emotion of the day and capturing those sweet moments forever on film. The photography aspect felt so unobtrusive and focused on showing our genuine love and happiness.
As a team, Royce and Ann are phenomenal, and they were a huge hit with our wedding guests! We had so many people coming up and telling us how much fun they were having with the photographers throughout the event. The fun and the joy they brought, in addition to their professionalism, really added a special element to our wedding. We are so grateful for everything they contributed to our day, and we'll always treasure not only the gorgeous photos they captured, but the wonderful memories they helped to create through those private moments, from our first look to our sunset photos, and even our moody mansion photos. We found Royce through a few friends who had used his services for their weddings and we loved his style! Working with him was simply a breeze. We sat down for 2+ hours over coffee...
before we even had our engagement shoot. He asked us questions about how we met, interviewed us about what we wanted from him and told us about his vision and philosophy. It was the most reassuring experience. Our engagement shoot was breath taking. We went down to Big Sur to a remote beach and the results were Game of Thrones worthy. We met again before the wedding to discuss the timeline, family dynamics (extremely important!) as well as his role in our big day. I think one of the most important aspects was that our day did not revolve around the photography but rather that the photography revolved around the events of the day, which doesn't always happen. Our wedding day arrived and the rain came with it. Despite the rain, Royce found ways to capture our day. We even got the most magical night time shots. He offered to do a second wedding shoot due to the rain (which we definitely took him up on!) We met up with him a few months later and had a second wedding shoot at a location closer to home. The photos were absolutely stunning.
