who I wanted! We did our engagement photos at Vala's Pumpkin Patch, I had high expectations and she greatly exceeded them. I didn't want traditional super posed engagement pictures, I wanted fun in the moment pictures. Royce captured the essence our me and my fiances (at the time) relationship and personalities! Prior to the wedding day I had texted, emailed, and called going over the details of pictures I wanted to get on our big day. She was always quick to respond even in the evening or on a weekend. On the wedding/reception days (Fri&Sat) she was prompt and made my husband, myself, and all of our friends and family feel comfortable (even when it was literally freezing outside and we were in our sleeveless dresses). Royce captured some very precious moments of my flower girls, and some amazing and fun pictures of the bridal party. She got great pictures of the ceremony. I have some beautiful pictures of the reception set up, Royce was very fun and up for anything even a little short trip to the pool hall next door because why not!?! Again I was nothing short but blown away when I got a look at our pictures. She let us be us and that really came through in all of our photos! At the end of the day Royce made me feel like a friend not just another client/paycheck. We were able to review, select and purchase images practically immediately...and that process was painless as well. We’ll be using Royce again for other events, for certain!

hink the best way to show how wonderful she is as a photographer is to tell you that my husband HATES pictures, I mean HATES, doesn't even like casual selfies. Combine that with the fact that the day we did engagement photos, which he was not excited for, it was a day in which it was disgustingly humid at 8 am. We scheduled our photos purposely at 8 am to attempt to beat the humidity. Royce visited the site ahead of time so she was prepared for what and where in the park she wanted to shoot; it took no time at all. As soon as we were in the car, my husband said, "I like her. She is now our family photographer." A man who hates pictures has chosen a photographer. When it came to the wedding, she was very helpful in planning a schedule for the day, getting extra information of guests/family, and was perfect in getting pictures done quickly and efficiently in the Church after the ceremony. She responded to emails in a timely manner, even when I felt like I was nagging her with hundreds of questions. She is very well organized, which helped calm my nerves. She is fun and willing to go with the flow. She gets the necessary pictures but also some of the "in the moment" fun and sweet pictures that I love looking at almost a year later. I highly recommend Royce!
