Russell hands down exceeded all of our expectations! If we could give more than 5 stars, we absolutely would. We decided we wanted to book a videographer a few months out of our wedding on 9/28/24 and Russell was more than helpful! Our initial phone call really set the tone - it felt like an added support system built into a vendor. Working with Russell during the planning process, on the actual wedding day, and follow ups felt like we were conversing with an old friend. Russell brought a lot of energy, excitement, and calmness to the event. He will make you feel like an absolute movie star! Cannot recommend RSVP Video enough!

Russell went above and beyond for us on our wedding day and all the way through the editing process. He was super attentive, had great recommendations, he had shot at our venue Church Landing many times before and my photographer had not, so he used his knowledge of the venue space and worked together with her and her second shooter (even though the 3 had never met) and truly became a dream team for our day. We went with the Gold package, it was 8 hours of coverage and we received a 6 1/2 minute highlight film and an hour and a half documentary style film and both were phenomenal and really helped us remember parts of our day that got foggy and helped us see parts of our day that we had to miss from being pulled in every direction. We can’t thank or recommend Russell / RSVP enough!!

Russel deserves more than 5 stars! He made everything so easy and was so kind. He keeps you organized with your own profile to keep track of that you can log in to whenever. Payments are easy and he allows you to decide the flow of your video with your own song choices. He has the best equipment and drone footage. During the wedding, you hardly know he’s there and let’s you just enjoy your day. Cannot recommend him enough!

RSVP (Russell) is a must hire. For our wedding, he was an absolute delight to work with - kind, professional, unobtrusive, creative, communicative, and a master behind the camera (and in the editing room). Before speaking with Russell for the first time, I (the bride) was skeptical about having videography at all. After our first phone call with Russell, I did a complete 180 and we knew Russell was the pro for the job! We were immediately sold. Working with him was a real treat, and seeing the finished product… my goodness it really blew us away. Our highlight video is beyond what we could have dreamed, and our full length video is truly high quality, artistic, genuine, and very clearly was handled with care. While he is a very experienced wedding/event videographer, not once did we feel like “just another couple.” He took the time to get to know us and was able to deliver videos that made us smile, laugh, cry, and most importantly NOT CRINGE. Russell captured the special moments, the romantic moments, the epic moments - and it was all authentic to us to the wedding day itself. He nailed all the details, the setting, and the people. We were fortunate to have a beautiful autumn day that was the perfect weather, and Russell’s footage captured ALL OF IT. Nothing was lost in translating the day to the film. We can’t say enough about our entire experience from start to finish. Worth mentioning also is how quick the turnaround time was to actually receive the footage from him. We heard from a number of couples (to specify, these were not clients of Russell!) who waited a whole year (or more) to get their wedding videos. Russell got them promptly to us in 2 months…. !!! To summarize, RUSSELL KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING. We can’t wait to work with him again in the future!

Working with Russell and John at RSVP was such a great experience! John was a total pro! He worked so well with our photographer to weave in seamlessly. We honestly didn’t even notice he was filming the night, yet he captured EVERYTHING. He was completely unobtrusive and incredibly friendly. We just watched the video that Russell and RSVP put together from our wedding…..speechless. Captured all the best moments with the best shots. Nothing makes my wife tear up, but this did. It was amazing. Not only that, I knew the second I met Russell for the first time that he was going to be amazing. He has this calmness and confidence about him that you know you’re in great hands. When you know a videographer is one of the people that will be around you all day, you want to be comfortable around him and be one of the wedding party. Russell is it. Russ from RSVP is hands down the BEST! We are so glad that we booked him for our wedding. We have been booked with him since 2018 for our original wedding date back in 2020. We hired RSVP to do our wedding video and it came out so amazing. Both Russells and John really captured the night in every way imaginable. The video quality was outstanding and received in a timely fashion and you can see how much dedication they put into it with top notch video editing and music choices that summed up our night. Russell is the absolute BEST!!! My husband and I got married on 5/1/21 at searles castle. We were originally suppose to get married 5/23/20, but due to covid we had to postpone. Russell always kept in touch and was reaching out to us to check in and see how we were holding up throughout the whole postponement. Russell stuck with us throughout our multiple date changes and venue change! He truly is absolutely AMAZING at what he does! Every time we watch our videos back, there were SO many moments we missed that luckily Russell captured, so we were able to see them and not miss a single moment of our special day! He was both professional and discreet, never missing a beat. The editing was exceptionally done. Our daughter's wedding was planned and re-planned during COVID-19's pandemic. Russell was a fantastic videographer even prior to our big day. As a COVID bride there was so many changes between time, venue, guest count, etc. He was so kind and communicated so well while my fiancé and I tried to work out a new date for our wedding. After with us to switch to an entirely new venue and date Russell worked with me to iron out details about start time and end time in a manner that fit our budget and met our needs. We are so appreciative of how willing he was to work with us and make adjustments. The day of our wedding Russell was exquisite and far exceeded our expectations. He paid close attention to details while at the same time being discrete. You can tell he loves what he does and he exudes that energy during the entire day. We booked Russell Smithe for our wedding on 9/30/2016 at the Red Barn at Outlook Farm in South Berwick, Maine. We had already booked our DJ and photographer and we were on the fence about having a videographer but we decided to book with Russell and let me tell you we are so happy we made the decision. Everyone says that your wedding day goes by so fast and I can’t believe how true this is! Our wedding day was absolutely amazing and flew by just as we were told it would... which is why we’re SO happy we made the decision to get a videographer so we can re-watch and live the day all over again whenever we want! We were even more excited when we got Russell as our videographer!! He is incredibly professional and made sure to capture all the big moments but didn’t leave out the small heartfelt moments either! We hired Russell Smithe to be a part of our big day on August 23, 2019! My initial inquiry about a year and a half prior was met with a prompt reply including his packages and prices. We decided to hire him right away based on the value and quality of his work (take a look at his videos, you won’t be disappointed!) Russell was a breeze to work with from our first correspondences to the day of. I can be a little self conscious and honestly hate being the center of attention, so I was afraid I was going to be an awkward mess, and hyper focused on being filmed all day. However this was the farthest from reality! Russell was patient, polite, and honestly blended into the background majority of the time that I forgot we were even being filmed! We received our short edited film about 4-5 weeks after the wedding, and I bawled my eyes out! I have never felt more beautiful, ever! His editing was impeccable. I was nervous our wedding song might be too slow for the short video, but he made it match up to all the clips perfectly and it was beautiful! Every time I watch it, all the feelings of the day come rushing back, so thank you! A short time later we received our full wedding video in the mail and I watched all 2+ hours of it immediately! It’s wonderful to see all of the little details play out that you might’ve missed while being so wrapped up in the day. I’m so happy I have this video to watch over and over again. If you are still deciding whether or not to hire Russell, do it! Best investment of my whole wedding!

I hired Russell for my wedding in June of 2015. When my husband and I initially sat down with him at our first meeting I knew he was our guy. He has such a good demeanor and he made us feel super comfortable. I absolutely loved Russell’s style of video so much that I was crying while watching a few previews of strangers films. Russ was very easy to communicate with leading up to and simply amazing the day of the wedding. Another plus was that he was good friends with our photographer which worked out well for us because all the more things were so smooth. Since my wedding day I have had many friends & family book Russell for their weddings, and got the pleasure of seeing him time and time again. Please don’t believe anyone when they say a video is a waste of money you’ll never watch it. My husband and I watched our video frequently the first few years. Then we had our son who is now 3 and he absolutely loves watching “Mama & Dada’s” wedding. How could a video be a waste of money when you can replay the moments of your wedding day and maybe pick up on something you missed? It happens multiple times while you watch i promise! It’s like being a guest and watching live. When a loved one passes on, you are able to hear their voice, see them dance, sing, and be present during that time. You can feel the emotion all over again and again. That is something you can’t put a price on. Please, Don’t look elsewhere just hire Russell.
