RSVP Video (Russell) was amazing from start to finish. From the second we had our final phone conversation to the very end of our day, he made us feel such at ease. He arrived on wedding day with such a contagious energy and knew exactly what to film to the point that he changed our timeline last minute to make sure he captured the most perfect sunset. Our wedding video trailer was simply amazing. Many people who have already been married have reached out and regretted not booking someone like Russ to capture their special day. Russell went above and beyond for us on our wedding day and all the way through the editing process. He was super attentive, had great recommendations, he had shot at our venue Church Landing many times before and my photographer had not, so he used his knowledge of the venue space and worked together with her and her second shooter (even though the 3 had never met) and truly became a dream team for our day. We went with the Gold package, it was 8 hours of coverage and we received a 6 1/2 minute highlight film and an hour and a half documentary style film and both were phenomenal and really helped us remember parts of our day that got foggy and helped us see parts of our day that we had to miss from being pulled in every direction. We can’t thank or recommend Russell / RSVP enough!!

Russel deserves more than 5 stars! He made everything so easy and was so kind. He keeps you organized with your own profile to keep track of that you can log in to whenever. Payments are easy and he allows you to decide the flow of your video with your own song choices. He has the best equipment and drone footage. During the wedding, you hardly know he’s there and let’s you just enjoy your day. Cannot recommend him enough!

RSVP (Russell) is a must hire. For our wedding, he was an absolute delight to work with - kind, professional, unobtrusive, creative, communicative, and a master behind the camera (and in the editing room). Before speaking with Russell for the first time, I (the bride) was skeptical about having videography at all. After our first phone call with Russell, I did a complete 180 and we knew Russell was the pro for the job! We were immediately sold. Working with him was a real treat, and seeing the finished product… my goodness it really blew us away. Our highlight video is beyond what we could have dreamed, and our full length video is truly high quality, artistic, genuine, and very clearly was handled with care. While he is a very experienced wedding/event videographer, not once did we feel like “just another couple.” He took the time to get to know us and was able to deliver videos that made us smile, laugh, cry, and most importantly NOT CRINGE. Russell captured the special moments, the romantic moments, the epic moments - and it was all authentic to us to the wedding day itself. He nailed all the details, the setting, and the people. We were fortunate to have a beautiful autumn day that was the perfect weather, and Russell’s footage captured ALL OF IT. Nothing was lost in translating the day to the film. We can’t say enough about our entire experience from start to finish. Worth mentioning also is how quick the turnaround time was to actually receive the footage from him. We heard from a number of couples (to specify, these were not clients of Russell!) who waited a whole year (or more) to get their wedding videos. Russell got them promptly to us in 2 months…. !!! To summarize, RUSSELL KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING. We can’t wait to work with him again in the future!

Working with Russell and John at RSVP was such a great experience! John was a total pro! He worked so well with our photographer to weave in seamlessly. We honestly didn’t even notice he was filming the night, yet he captured EVERYTHING. He was completely unobtrusive and incredibly friendly. We just watched the video that Russell and RSVP put together from our wedding…..speechless. Captured all the best moments with the best shots. Nothing makes my wife tear up, but this did. It was amazing. Not only that, I knew the second I met Russell for the first time that he was going to be amazing. He has this calmness and confidence about him that you know you’re in great hands. When you know a videographer is one of the people that will be around you all day, you want to be comfortable around him and be one of the wedding party. Russell is it. Russ from RSVP is hands down the BEST! We are so glad that we booked him for our wedding. We have been booked with him since 2018 for our original wedding date back in 2020. We hired RSVP to do our wedding video and it came out so amazing. Both Russells and John really captured the night in every way imaginable. The video quality was outstanding and received in a timely fashion and you can see how much dedication they put into it with top notch video editing and music choices that summed up our night. Russell is the absolute BEST!!! My husband and I got married on 5/1/21 at searles castle. We were originally suppose to get married 5/23/20, but due to covid we had to postpone. Russell always kept in touch and was reaching out to us to check in and see how we were holding up throughout the whole postponement. Russell stuck with us throughout our multiple date changes and venue change! He truly is absolutely AMAZING at what he does! He was both professional and discreet, never missing a beat. The editing was exceptionally done. Our daughter's wedding was planned and re-planned during COVID-19's pandemic. Russell was a fantastic videographer even prior to our big day. As a COVID bride there was so many changes between time, venue, guest count, etc. He was so kind and communicated so well while my fiancé and I tried to work out a new date for our wedding. After with us to switch to an entirely new venue and date Russell worked with me to iron out details about start time and end time in a manner that fit our budget and met our needs. We are so appreciative of how willing he was to work with us and make adjustments. The day of our wedding Russell was exquisite and far exceeded our expectations. We booked Russell Smithe for our wedding on 9/30/2016 at the Red Barn at Outlook Farm in South Berwick, Maine. We had already booked our DJ and photographer and we were on the fence about having a videographer but we decided to book with Russell and let me tell you we are so happy we made the decision. I spoke with Russell the week of the wedding and we walked me through the whole process and the day of wedding timeline. Everyone says that your wedding day goes by so fast and I can’t believe how true this is! Our wedding day was absolutely amazing and flew by just as we were told it would... which is why we’re SO happy we made the decision to get a videographer so we can re-watch and live the day all over again whenever we want! We were even more excited when we got Russell as our videographer!! He is incredibly professional and made sure to capture all the big moments but didn’t leave out the small heartfelt moments either! We hired Russell Smithe to be a part of our big day on August 23, 2019! My initial inquiry about a year and a half prior was met with a prompt reply including his packages and prices. We decided to hire him right away based on the value and quality of his work (take a look at his videos, you won’t be disappointed!) Russell was a breeze to work with from our first correspondences to the day of. I can be a little self conscious and honestly hate being the center of attention, so I was afraid I was going to be an awkward mess, and hyper focused on being filmed all day. However this was the farthest from reality! Russell was patient, polite, and honestly blended into the background majority of the time that I forgot we were even being filmed! We received our short edited film about 4-5 weeks after the wedding, and I bawled my eyes out! I have never felt more beautiful, ever! His editing was impeccable. I was nervous our wedding song might be too slow for the short video, but he made it match up to all the clips perfectly and it was beautiful! Every time I watch it, all the feelings of the day come rushing back, so thank you! A short time later we received our full wedding video in the mail and I watched all 2+ hours of it immediately! It’s wonderful to see all of the little details play out that you might’ve missed while being so wrapped up in the day. I’m so happy I have this video to watch over and over again. If you are still deciding whether or not to hire Russell, do it! Best investment of my whole wedding!

I hired Russell for my wedding in June of 2015. When my husband and I initially sat down with him at our first meeting I knew he was our guy. He has such a good demeanor and he made us feel super comfortable. I absolutely loved Russell’s style of video so much that I was crying while watching a few previews of strangers films. Russ was very easy to communicate with leading up to and simply amazing the day of the wedding. Another plus was that he was good friends with our photographer which worked out well for us because all the more things were so smooth. Since my wedding day I have had many friends & family book Russell for their weddings, and got the pleasure of seeing him time and time again. Please don’t believe anyone when they say a video is a waste of money you’ll never watch it. My husband and I watched our video frequently the first few years. Then we had our son who is now 3 and he absolutely loves watching “Mama & Dada’s” wedding. How could a video be a waste of money when you can replay the moments of your wedding day and maybe pick up on something you missed? It happens multiple times while you watch i promise! It’s like being a guest and watching live. When a loved one passes on, you are able to hear their voice, see them dance, sing, and be present during that time. You can feel the emotion all over again and again. That is something you can’t put a price on. Please, Don’t look elsewhere just hire Russell.

Russell Smithe and John Mullaney are amazing!!! John was our videographer on our wedding day and Russell was our main point of contact throughout the whole process and lead filmmaker. They were both so easy to work with and captured our wedding day at the Liberty Hotel so beautifully! We purchased the package that included 7 hours of coverage, the raw footage in a full documentary edited film, and a cinematic highlight clip. The cinematic highlight clip was so perfectly put together. I could watch it over and over again 😊 It was also so special to be able to watch all of the raw footage and relive the best day of our lives. We truly appreciate their work. We couldn’t be happier with our experience :)

My husband and I got married on Sept 21st 2019 at Renaissance Golf Club. It was the most beautiful day and luckily we get to relive it over and over again thanks to Russell. He was such a calming presence on that day providing a lot of reassurance and laughter throughout the day, while also blending into the background. Perfect balance! We received our video within the time frame and we really appreciated the weekly emails letting us know it was being worked on and when to expect it. Russ did our wedding in 2017. We weren't originally going to do video, but our JP suggested it saying he knew a lot of couple who regretted not having at least some professional video. So our DJ msde a recommendation. From the 1st time we spoke to Russ we knew we had made the right choice. So down to Earth and comforting. Russ really worked magic for us. Russell documented our wedding day on October 5, 2013 – his 40th birthday. If that doesn’t scream dedication and passion – I’m not sure what will! Russell performed as a consummate professional on our wedding day, meticulously capturing all the beautiful moments from our first night together as husband and wife! Doing so on such a milestone birthday, and with so much energy and enthusiasm, was something we truly appreciated and will never forget. Reflecting back on our experiences w/ Russell, we would unequivocally rate him 10/10 stars (if we could)! From the moment we met him, we immediately knew that we wanted to work with him. He came to our meeting SO ENTHUSIASTIC and SO EXCITED to show us his beautiful work. Moreover, he was so happy/glad to meet us and get to know us, a rarity these days. Russell has a contagious enthusiasm about him. He really does! The love of his craft and the pride he takes in his work was readily apparent from our first meeting. At that meeting, he showed us the intricacies of his video style in a demo, displaying with gorgeous detail his approach to capturing an event. The ‘flow’ of the video was amazing and had my husband and I nodding in approval! (ps…The highlight video is a MUST have ). We were drained going into the meeting and refreshed coming out of it. As we left we thought to ourselves, “..this is gonna be good!”… and it was! Is Russell accommodating?? Well for our initial meeting, I called him for an appointment on a Friday morning, and he was able to meet us THAT NIGHT in close approximation to where I lived! Talk about being so helpful and easily accessible! He is willing to go the extra mile. And he is so down-to-earth; it was like talking to a family member. Russell puts his whole life into his work. There is no substitute for experience, and Russell has plenty of it! In reviewing our own video – this much was clear. He was able to capture all the minute details of our wedding while and make us feel SO SPECIAL at the same time. From the beads on my dress, to the chocolate fountain, to the cake, to the venue – he caught it all. And plenty of dancing  as well. The sound effects were outstanding and we were able to clearly hear our vows, the priest’s sermon during the Mass, and especially the speeches at the reception! If we had questions for him in the process, he answered them very timely and efficiently. His directions and guidance was easy to follow. We appreciated his clear, concise answers. As I mentioned, I recommend purchasing the highlight video that Russell has to offer in one of his packages. It is a 3-4 minute video that captures the essence of the day, to a tune of your choice. This piece, which I am sure took hours and hours of work, was absolutely mind-blowing. I think I have watched mine 60 or more times so far. Furthermore, we loved our entire package so much, we are even purchasing the raw footage that he captured as well! Overall, the video was incredible and had both sides of parents and siblings in tears and in hysterics. Russell, we can’t thank you enough for giving us such an amazing memento we will have for the rest of our lives. The day was an absolute blur to us, but with your expert work, we were able to re-envision everything. Thank you again and again for spending your 40th birthday with us and our families/friends!
