I’m Ruby Jane, an Austin-based violinist and singer/songwriter, and I specialize in creating unforgettable live music for weddings and special events.
I was the youngest person to play the Grand Ole Opry, and I’ve had the honor of touring and performing with artists like Willie Nelson, Lady Gaga, Blues Traveler, Sheryl Crow, and more. Whether I’m playing your ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception, my goal is to bring a sense of emotion, elegance, and energy that feels completely unique to your day!
I’m also the founder of Hydden Talent, an Austin-based, artist-first entertainment collective. Through Hydden Talent, I work with an incredible roster of musicians to help couples create a fully customized music experience—from walking down the aisle to the last song of the night! Every detail is thoughtfully curated to feel seamless, personal, and truly unforgettable.
I specialize in reimagining Top 40 and classic songs as elegant violin instrumentals, blending contemporary style with timeless sophistication. In addition to classical repertoire, I can perform across virtually any genre—and I’m always happy to learn custom song requests so your music feels special to YOU!

Smith’s list of accolades is astounding – boasting a steady stream of awards from the title of youngest person to play the Grand Ole Opry to touring as lead violinist for artists like Willie Nelson, Lady Gaga, Blues Traveler, Wu Tang Clan, and performing alongside acts like Sheryl Crow & ZZ Top.
Since fronting her own project, she has received the prestigious Black Fret grant, played such stages as Lollapalooza and ACL Festival, and written music with some of the top platinum and gold record holding producers.
With her combination of extraordinary musical abilities, breathtaking vocals, and hooky choruses, she is creating a new sound that breaches the limits of musicianship in modern day pop music.
