Her photos are of a quality well beyond her price point - she captures organic moments and managed to gracefully wrangle my enormous family for portraits that look joyful and gorgeous. Samantha is also incredibly flexible. When the forecast predicted ice storms the day of our wedding, Samantha was down to head out into the woods with us for a secret photo shoot in our wedding outfits the day before. She cares so much about capturing the mood and energy of each couple - I know this because my brother and sister in law loved our photos so much that they booked her for their wedding! Samantha is both unobtrusive and someone you’ll want to be friends with - she puts people at ease and makes them feel comfortable in front of the camera (we hate getting our pictures taken and love having our photo taken by her)! We loved our experience with Samantha so much for our engagement shoot and wedding weekend that we have had the joy of working with her every year since for family portraits as our family has grown. We had the pleasure of working with Samy to shoot our elopement and it could not have been anymore magical. Our elopement was planned with short notice and when we found out Samy was available to shoot our special day, we were so excited. My husband and I are very awkward (tall) people, and the thought of getting photographed was nerve wrecking to say the least. She not only made us comfortable but she helped navigate a very last minute situation, helped direct our ceremony and made sure it was smooth and easy for us. Our photos were timeless and elegant. She even sent us a sneak peak the morning after our wedding night which was such a lovely surprise to wake up to. She is an incredible artist so her eye for photography is unmatched. She took flash photos in our backyard after party that we will cherish forever. Everything captured was organic, personal, and in the moment. The tears, the laughs, the dancing, the food, everything. I've loved Samantha's work for years, and as soon as my now-husband proposed one of the first things I did was message her to make sure she was available on our wedding date! I've only half-jokingly asked her to be our family photographer for life. She is truly incredible. She has the amazing ability to capture a couple's true personality and a knack for capturing real candid moments and making them look as beautiful as if they'd been posed! My biggest struggle after getting our photos has been deciding which ones to print out and frame because they're all so good. She truly captures the joy in the room and in the words of my father, "She doesn't just capture photos, she captures moments." We don't feel like a single moment escaped her lens. If you're looking for a photographer who "gets you," who embeds herself so well she captures the most gorgeous candids of you and your guests, who makes you feel as comfortable and calm as possible (it is your wedding day, after all), look no further. There literally aren't enough words to praise Samy or her work. She's the absolute best!

Samy was the absolute best. She was a calming presence in a stressful day and brought out the magic in everything. Her candid shots are incredible. She captures emotions, light and movement so well I want to frame everything she took. Trust her process, she makes it look so easy but she is not to be underestimated, this woman is going to blow up any day now. I'm just happy we found her while we could afford her! Every picture is a piece of art, a moment captured with so much care. We are not photogenic people, we don't know how to smize or pose, Samy just waits until our inhibitions drop for a split second, and that's when she takes her shot. And it's beautiful every time. I got married in August and am still just drooling over these photos. She is worth every penny and more. Do yourself a favor and hire her before Vogue does!

Samy was awesome! I had a destination wedding so I wasn't personally able to meet with her prior to my wedding day. I was a little hesitant to choose Ruby Photography at the beginning being that there weren't many reviews when I hired her but I am so very happy that I did. My wedding photos came out amazing! She was really easy to work with. Easy going personality, it was actually fun having her be a part of my wedding day. My photo album came out amazing. Definitely worth the cost.

I have to say that from the beginning to the end Sam was amazing! When we had our first meeting to discuss what kind of shots we wanted for our wedding Sam really listened and understood what we wanted. Sam was great with follow-up emails, checking in to know the wedding day itinerary and any changes that were needed. On the wedding day she was so wonderful; her happy, friendly, easy going vibe was great! Her talent captured so beautifully our wedding day! My husband and I are so impressed with how our photos came out. We keep on reliving our wedding through the photos (And I can't stop looking at our photos ;)). Thank you again Sam!!

I could not be more pleased with the service, the talent, and the amazing photographs that we received of my daughter's wedding. Samantha was super responsive and helpful during the entire planning process. She was delightful and engaging throughout the entire event but somehow invisible when taking photos. Many of the shots look as if she were standing right next to the Bride and Groom at the alter but we don't even remember seeing her in the room during the ceremony. I would refer her without hesitation.

Samantha was amazing and all of our pictures turned out beautifully. She was kind and sweet and professional and absolutely the right choice. There isn't a single bad thing to say about her.

Overall, it was a 3.5 star experience, but The Knot doesn't allow that option. It was okay working with Ruby Photography. My original photographer (recommended by my best friend) had a last minute family emergency and had to cancel. For the price I was paying, I didn't want to "just" have her second/third photographers leading the pack- Thus, I looked for alternative photographers with a smaller budget. We were happy to meet Samantha. Samantha agreed to work with us within our budget. That said, a few weeks later, she advised that she would be unavailable (double booked) but another photographer would be available- At a slightly slimmed price. We agreed since we didn't have time to look for a new photographer. The photographer was ok, but didn't give us much direction for our portraits, a handful of photos given to us were blurry, the smiles/blinks weren't organize. I will say, Eric and I had about 10 photos we truly loved/high quality- enough for us to give 4 stars. But I had to take away 1 star because we wanted more photos that weren't blurry/not coordinated. And lastly, they named our digital wedding book incorrectly "Erick" instead of the correct spelling, "Eric." I advised Ruby Photography to fix it so that I could share the album- They never got back to me. I feel like after I paid them, they just split. A small edit, but an ignore edit made me further reduce their rating by .5 stars

Samy was a dream to work with! She captured our day just as we imagined and we couldn't be happier. We wanted pictures taken at an abandoned Boy Scout camp in Media, PA and Samy carried her equipment in the heat for the hike without complaint. She came a day early to scout the location with us and even convinced us to do a first look in the creek that we love. It came out better then we could have imagined and highly recommend her. Not only do we appreciate her talent and style, her personality and fun attitude made her such a pleasure to be around. Do yourself a favor and choose Ruby Photography!

Hire Ruby! My son and his lovely bride were married this past June and it was the most beautiful day you could imagine...magical in every way. We could not have asked for a more beautiful ceremony and reception. Every moment was so wonderful and it was captured so beautifully by Ruby. Ruby captured the very essence of the day, joyful moments and faces of our friends and loved ones. In fact there were images of events that I missed out on that I would never seen if it were not for Ruby. The wonderful part is, she never manipulated the day. She quietly took beautiful images throughout but didn't seem to miss a thing. We look back at all the visual memories and are so grateful to her and her professionalism. You will not be disappointed if you hire her skilled eye to forever remember your precious moments. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer to trust with one of our greatest family milestones. Ruby was wonderful!!

Samy and her team are simply the best. She's a long-time trusted friend that we've personally seen outdo expectations wedding after wedding. For ours, she had to fly out on a red-eye from a wedding in Chicago the night before, yet she remained confident, chipper, and capable the *entire day*, despite long hours on very little sleep. Our friends and family regularly tell us that our photos are the best they have ever seen, and we agree! My wife and I made a book out of our favorites, and we look through it probably every week. Samantha was so amazing to work with!! She was so friendly and most of all fun! She was able to calm my stressed out (hard to please) parents, and keep the wedding party laughing and upbeat even when we were getting tired and hungry. By the end of the day; I felt like we were totally all friends! She really got our relationship and it showed in the beautiful photos. She was able to capture so many of the small moments that I couldn't have even told her that I wanted. She was just so good at capturing the intimate moments as well as the big moments! I loved her calm personality and how good she was with everyone from older family members to the flower girl. We absolutely loved working with Samantha Ruby! She was so easy to work with, the bridal party absolutely loved her, even our parents raved about how hard she worked and how great she was! I am in love with my wedding photos! Ruby Photography did an excellent job capturing the joy of our wedding. She is everything you want in a photgrapher. She is personal yet professional and efficient. She manages the time well without feeling rushed. I am so thankful that I had her take my wedding photos and am convinced she is the best one out there!

Samantha is a very talented photographer! Her work is very beautiful and artistic. She is easy to work with and extremely accommodating. My fiance and I hate taking pictures but because she is so easy to work with we were actually very excited to have our pictures taken all day on our wedding. She worked extremely hard the entire 12 hours that day that I actually started feeling bad. I haven't received my final pictures yet but the 15 preview photographs I received 12 hours after my wedding were absolutely stunning and exceeded my expectations.
