Working with Kelsey and Talon from when we took our engagement photos up until the day of the wedding was an awesome experience. They made us feel extremely comfortable and our engagement photos but especially our wedding photos came out above and beyond what we had expected. Absolutely incredible work! The work speaks for itself - absolutely gorgeous way of capturing light, personality, and I could just go on and on! But what I find to truly make them the best photographers out there is their amazing personalities! They were wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process and were the best team to work with on our wedding day. Let me break down for you why: 1) Kelsey and Talon met us for coffee before we decided to book them as photographers and after our initial meeting we knew we needed to look no further. They were warm, kind and very passionate about their work. They also asked us all of the questions we did not even know we should be thinking about and helped guide us through the process - I loved that they did this for us because we really needed it! 2) They are extremely communicative and helped to walk us through timelines, give recommendations, answer our MANY questions we had -- when it came to planning and keeping things smooth and stress free we were grateful to have Kelsey & Talon to guide us. We also used all of their vendor recommendations and are so glad we did! They have such a beautiful network here in Austin (and beyond! but our wedding was in Austin) and that is a testament to who they are as artists and small business owners. 3) They are so sweet & kind, but can also be diplomatically direct when needed - this was so important for our families to get them in sync for large photos- and it is truly a gift! They are the types of people you need on your big day to get the job done while also making everyone feel incredibly at ease and keeping things on schedule. Seriously - this is a gift and worth the investment in and of itself! 4) A few weeks before our wedding we were able to meet up with them again to walk through our timeline and some questionnaires. They are extremely organized which allowed for our wedding day to be well thought-out and run smoothly because we were all on the same page. They also coordinated and worked beautifully with our Videographer DavidLe (I'll write his review soon too) and just goes to show that they think through everything! And on our wedding day they seemed to be everywhere and no where all at the same time - never intrusive, but always able to capture the intimate moments. Once again another beautiful gift we didn't realize would have such a positive impact on our wedding day. 5) Lastly, let us just say that they both have such beautiful and kind souls and working with such a beautiful married couple is an inspiring thing to have throughout the wedding planning process . They think about their impact on the world, the impact they have on their couples and they are just amazing humans that make the world a better place. When we were hiring and planning for our wedding we wanted to support businesses that we believe in and people who we wanted to invest in. When I met with Kelsey and Talon over coffee, I immediately connected with them -- although they were working with other couples, they made me feel like their only priority and that it would be a treat to work together. They shared a sample of their work and took the time to get to know what I was looking for out of our wedding photos, even offering to share a Pinterest board to collaborate on the aesthetic. I immediately knew these were our photographers -- they were so kind, funny and attentive and also brought a lightness that helped alleviate my nerves. It didn't hurt that I felt like they were kindred spirits to my husband and me -- from their taste in music to their love of board games! Kelsey & Talon are not only some of the most creative and talented photographers we've ever met, but we also consider them good friends at this point! They came to our engagement session and wedding day with excitement and ideas on the best locations, poses or methods to capturing our love. Even when Grant and I were at a loss for how to express ourselves, Kelsey & Talon knew the right words to say, music to play or prompts to give to elicit the best outcomes. On our wedding day, they kept us calm and present while bringing an infectious passion for love. They captured every last detail of our special day and those in-between moments are what we cherish the most!

Kelsey and Talon are the best photographers you could ask for, period. Where to start. This post could be pages long but i'll make it as brief as I can. They first took the time to get to know Alice(bride) and myself with a video call. We shared playlists that they were into and that we were into just so this whole process could be more personalized to what we wanted. For the engagement photos, not only did they pick a great spot in Austin, but this process really became a rehearsal of sorts for our best angles and made sure we were comfortable with Kelsey and Talon before the big day. Leading up to the wedding day, we changed our request for timing to extend our venue later into the night, and they were both so understanding and easy to work with. During the wedding day Kelsey and Talon were perfect in getting group photos and then taking both candid and staged photos throughout the night. Some of our guests didn't even realize they were around during parts of the ceremony, but were surprised they showed up in so many amazing photos. Once we got the photos back, Alice and I literally looked at the photos every day for weeks. They couldn't have come out any better. Kelsey and Talon were able to capture every important moment and the emotions where we didn't even need a videographer. All of our friends and family were equally amazed by the quality of the photos. We are sad the whole wedding process is over, but are looking forward to any event we need photographers so we can work with Kelsey and Talon again.

Kelsey and Talon are incredible! They were SO easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable on the day of. Their photos are absolutely gorgeous works of art that I can't wait to display and (one day) share with our children. I'm currently unable to pick my favorites to print out or put into a photo album because they're ALL so beautiful! They also offered tidbits of advice on how to feel present on our wedding day and put pieces of ourselves into so many of the details. I absolutely loved having them be a part of our day!

I first found Feather & Twine years ago, simply from seeing a beautiful featured picture of theirs and then following their blog and Instagram. I love photography and always followed lots of photographers from all over the world. When I got engaged in 2016, I knew it would be a longshot since they were based in Texas and my husband and I got married in CT, but I just had to contact them. I was so drawn to their images, their ability to edit digital right alongside their film pictures, and their friendly personalities. I was completely thrilled to find out they were in our budget and even their travel fee was reasonable. I'm sure some people thought we were a little crazy literally flying in my dream photographers for our wedding but it was SO worth it. They were able to do our engagement photos as well since they had a wedding in New York last fall and were able to just drive down to us. Once we got our engagement photos back, everyone who gave me a weird look about flying in a wedding vendor RAVED to me and said they totally understood why. Kelsey and Talon's work is not something you find every day, and it is BEYOND worth it- the money, the travel, anything. Worth it! Our engagement pictures came out STUNNING, I used them in our guest book and christmas cards and save the dates and will treasure them forever! On our wedding day, Kelsey and Talon were AMAZING. Kelsey even carried tissues for me all day because I kept happy crying and needed them! She helped keep me focused even when everyone was pulling me into a million directions the morning of, and kept me on track with our timeline. They were the perfect calm and happy energy you want with you on your big day. I am so grateful that we were able to have them at our wedding and I know I will love our wedding pictures just as much as our engagement pictures because their work is pure magic. Kelsey and Talon are AMAZING human beings that made our engagement photos (a year ago) and our wedding day (April 2017) so enjoyable and fun! They are not only great photographers, but truly great people who walked up calmly through all parts of our wedding day. Something I never realized is how huge a role the photographer plays into the actual day and the flow of your wedding. With Feather & Twine, I always felt like I was hanging out with old friends and having a great time. For anyone looking for a photographer, this is huge! You don’t want someone bossing you around or making things chaotic. Kelsey and Talon even make my husband feel comfortable taking pictures, which is a feat in itself! We went with Feather & Twine for engagement, bridal, and wedding photos as well as video. We have not yet seen the whole final product but going by our engagement and bridal shots they are amazing. They are great at directing posing and keeping everything on schedule. My guests are nonstop asking to see photos saying they can't wait to see how they captured the wedding! They may live in Texas but they now have a fan base in central Wisconsin!

Kelsey & Talon are seriously the best that you could ask for! We had so many compliments on our engagement photos that a friend of mine, who had not previously heard of them, decided to use them for her wedding too! My bridal photos were such a dream - the lighting and angles that Kelsey finds are so beautiful! All of our photos are so full of laughter and joy and working with Feather and Twine truly brought that out in us! By the end of all of our wedding festivities I honestly could say we enjoyed working with them both so much that we not only will have beautiful photos to cherish, but a new friendship too!
