. They genuinely care about you and making your day the wedding of your dreams. The wait staff, concierge, and bartenders were attentive, professional, and personable. Our wedding concierge, Donna, made sure that we ate, had fresh drinks in our hands, and that we were comfortable at all times. She was absolutely amazing. Additionally, our guests are still talking about how delicious the appetizers, dinner, and dessert room were. All in all, you cannot go wrong with Running Deer Golf Club. It has everything you want and more! I am so glad we went with them!

were nothing short of spectacular. The staff for the event were all excellent and the food got rave reviews from everyone. This was very important to us and they knocked it out of the park. In addition to all this Running Deer was the cheapest venue we priced out and we received much more than we would have anywhere else. Almost a month later we're still getting calls and texts about how great of a time everyone had and how great the venue was. Can't recommend them enough.

They have answered every single question and made sure they did everything they could to make our day so special for us. On the day of our wedding, I was amazed with how beautifully the staff set up the venue! Not only was the venue decorated perfectly, but someone was ALWAYS there to lend a helping hand, answer any questions, make sure the timeline of the day ran smoothly and so much more. ing Deer is incredibly personable and well organized. They answer all your questions- even when you could’ve just read the FAQ a bit better (ha!). They have tastings for you and two guests, they have plenty of materials/supplies for you to borrow (even an arch!!), and they even include food, an open bar, cake, most gratuities, a day-of-coordinator, and a Maitre D in your contract!! The staff is wonderful and will really become your family. I actually GOT SICK at my wedding from the adrenaline crash (OTL not my finest moment) and my fairy godmother had an ice pack, ginger ale, and a stand-up fan placed right at my table for me. She had the vendors back off as well as redirected guests so I could relax with my husband, all while making it seem like nothing was wrong. Even my PARENTS didn’t know until much later how I was feeling. The venue’s design itself is breathtaking. The reception hall is gorgeous for a ceremony if needed, too. I personally chose my venue based on both their outdoor and indoor ceremony spots because I wanted to plan for all types of weather. Since Running Deer has a separate room for the bar as well as a separate bar for cocktail hour if need be, you can rest assured that there will be plenty of space for your guests. I had 125 people at my wedding and I did not feel cramped. I believe that 150 is the max I would have had if I invited more people, though, as the dancefloor will be eaten away by tables as you add more guests. HONESTLY if you want any sort of woodland, whimsical, rustic, greenery wedding I STRONGLY suggest Running Deer and their suggested vendors list. The work is done for you, just sign the check! Ha!

led answer. Planning our tasting was so easy and Kate was with us every step of the way making the planning process so easy! We had our rehearsal and dinner which was awesome and orchestrated by Heather who was also our day of coordinator! I know exactly why everyone calls her the fairy godmother! She was incredible and with us for every step of the way, at our beck and call. Whatever we needed, she got it. Our drinks and plates were always full. The food was incredible, our guests still can't stop talking about it! We had the time of our life and can't thank everyone at Running Deer enough! Highly recommend! A+++!

literal magical fairytale. We fell in love with the venue immediately. The natural rustic decor, high ballroom ceilings, delicious food options, chocolate room, sangria bar etc.. they had it ALL. We worked with Kaitlyn, who is so incredibly sweet and patient. She always responded quickly and was so helpful throughout the process. We also worked with Miranda, who was so patient with our ever-changing plans due to the pandemic. She was incredibly sweet and accommodating. The whole staff made us feel SO special. The day of the wedding, Heather was our "fairy godmother", and I completely understand where the nickname comes from now. She went above and beyond to make sure our drinks stayed full and every little detail was taken care of - so we didn't worry about a single thing on our wedding. I could go on and on about how grateful we are for the amazing Running Deer staff, but this review would probably go over the word limit. From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our guests raved about the staff, the food, and the dreamy ceremony location. I wish I could re-live it all over again! Our day was beyond perfect, and that was because of everyone at Running Deer Golf Club - the ABSOLUTE best!

Anything we needed, she was on it; from keeping us on schedule, to keeping music at a reasonable level, to finding my slippers so I could get out of my heels, to keeping us hydrated, etc. All of the staff were amazing to work with and incredibly friendly. Additionally, the food was amazing! We decided on the buffet option and even the picky eaters in our families came out saying how good the food was! At the end of the night, the managers had asked us if they could have done anything differently/if we were happy. Even several days after our wedding, my husband and I could not think of a single thing that could have been done differently. The staff at Running Deer ensured that our day was absolutely perfect!

this venue was what I was dreaming of for my wedding. I did most of my planning with Kaitlyn, and she was just absolutely amazing. She was very attentive and responded very fast with any of my concerns or questions. Heather was our concierge on our wedding night, and she was incredible. Any issues that arose, she had it covered. Before I even had the words out of what I needed, she had it covered. She was so compassionate and caring. We LOVED Heather! The food... was so delicious! Everyone is still raving about it! The prime rib was by far one of the best prime rib's I have ever had. Heather even got us some doggie bags to take home. From cocktail hour to the farewell cookies, 5 stars all around! We ended up moving our ceremony and cocktail hour inside — like 2 hours before guests started to arrive — and the staff did such an amazing job accommodating that for us! Inside or outside, the venue is super romantic. The floor to ceiling windows are just so beautiful and the new bar renovations are just stunning. The food was SO GOOD. My fiancé and I devoured everything during our food tasting and during our private cocktail hour. We had so many compliments from our guests that they literally licked their plates clean. Not one person left that venue hungry!! Let’s start with Miranda. She was an absolute sweetheart! I felt like I had the most ridiculous questions and played “what if” with so many scenarios before we finalized our contract — and Miranda was there every step of the way. She responded to every email, every question, and was so patient with us. She never once made me feel like I was annoying her or waiting her time! She also let me and my now M.I.L. tour the venue again after my fiancé and I had our first virtual tour and our food tasting. Kaitlyn, bless her!! She was on top of every little detail. She made sure we were always on the same page before moving along. She kept us on track and was super organized. Kaitlyn answered every single email quickly and had an answer or solution to every question I had. She was so sweet and easy to work with. Heather — she was our angel sent from above, fairy godmother, and the GREATEST person ever. She took care of my husband and I the day of the wedding and we cannot say enough amazing things about her. She kept me calm all day, helped with any favors I had, bustled my dress, made sure our drinks were NEVER empty, and made sure that we were well fed!! We had such a large bridal party and a large wedding, but she managed us all so well!! My husband and I have been a part of other weddings this year and let’s just say Heather was the absolute best and no one can top her!! Heather deserves the world and so much more and we can’t thank her, and Donna, enough for such a beautiful day!

Everyone on their staff from Kaitlyn, Miranda, Heather & beyond were so unbelievably helpful especially when we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid-19. They were so on top of everything from start to finish and answered every silly question I had no matter the time or day. When the big day finally came, Heather was an absolute pleasure to have by our sides to help make sure the day run smoothly. We would definitely recommend RD for a venue :)

my countess emails in a timely manner and with specifics on what I was looking for. They were so accommodating with any changes we wanted to make to the menu or if we wanted to do anything to decor. While we are on the subject of food, WOW just wow. There was not a menu item I didn’t like. We chose a buffet for both rehearsal and wedding dinner and it was the best option for us because we were able to get the variety we were looking for. Kate jokingly said in our final planning appointment that if our guests leave hungry then that is their fault and that could not be further from the truth. There was SO MUCH FOOD. Our guests raved about our food. Even those who don’t typically like buffets were blown away. Finally, I want to talk about the day-of. At weddings I would attend, I would typically see the bride and groom never eat nor enjoy themselves due to being pulled in multiple directions. That was never the case for us. During cocktail hour our concierge (or our fairy godmother) set out plates of cocktail hour food for us to enjoy privately before we went to mingle. It was so nice to enjoy food together alone before we socialized. For dinner, we were sent into the buffet room to pick out what we wanted to eat and it was served to our table while everyone else went up to eat. While we were dancing or talking to people, our drinks were never, NEVER empty. There is one thing I would change and these things can easily be requested for future brides. Before the ceremony, we were in the ballroom while guests were in the bar next door waiting to be able to go to our ceremony. They could see us through the bar doors and the windows and I wish we were somewhere they couldn’t see us to get the wow factor when we walk down the aisle. Regardless, I have honestly been trying to convince future brides that I know to get married there because I want to go back as a guest!!

They understood my vision! The day of my wedding was a dream!!! Our concierge Syndie was incredible!! She is so genuinely sweet and was always there to get us anything we needed. We had our ceremony at The Timbers (swoon!) then reception inside. All the food was delicious! Sydnie even made sure we had plenty of cocktail hour food on our table for us. All our family and friends have told us how much they loved our wedding, the grounds and the food! I can not thank Miranda, Kate, Sydnie and everyone at RDGC enough!! Many of our guest raved that it was the best meal. Lastly, the team was always able to answer or get an answer for any question. We never waited a long period of time to hear back from them and we were beyond impressed with how they turned our dreams into a reality from how we wanted our decor displayed to the tiny details of taking care of us.

She was attentive, compassionate, and never once made any of us feel like we were inconveniencing her with our questions and requests. She was on point through set up, the whole wedding, and even cleanup. Food and drinks were brought to the couple's table throughout the whole day so that they didn't miss any chance to eat, when the ceremony almost got rained out Heather D was there with multiple solutions for how to handle it, when cleanup started she was right there with us helping out, plus she was pleasant the whole time. She really was a fairy godmother.

They were so helpful and genuinely wanted us to have a carefree and amazing wedding day! My wedding day was the best day of my life and Running Deer Golf Club was the best decision we made!!!

As for the venue itself, we held our ceremony at the pergola and it was more beautiful than we could have imagined. The food was AMAZING! We chose buffet and everyone raved about the food. The chocolate room was also a huge hit! They helped us box up all of our decorations at the end of the night and overall we’re just so helpful. They also helped save us some money by having things like votives for candles, easels, a card box, table numbers, etc already at the venue. Definitely check this venue out because you we could not have had a more perfect day thanks to them!!

When we were taking pictures during cocktail hour, Miranda was so sweet and personally hand fed us some hor d'oeuvres. And when we didn’t have time to eat during the reception, she boxed our food and even gave us extra to take home. Afterward, they helped break down the decorations and packed them for us to pick up the next day. Kait and Miranda are so amazing and had a huge impact on how great everything turned out.

She went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I had food and drinks all night long and that everything was going according to our expectations. She also is amazing at bustling dresses so brides— do not worry! For the price of this venue, so much is included and the portion sizes for the plates of food you get exceeded many weddings that we have been to in the past— not to mention it was delicious! I would recommend Running Deer to anyone planning their wedding. You will not be disappointed.

from June 2020 to June 2021. The time and effort put into making our day special was evident from beginning to end. Miranda was a godsend in the early days of the pandemic and was there for us every step of the way in going over numbers, restrictions, and safety protocols. Kaitlyn was always there to answer my billions of emails, was more than accommodating with added personal touches and helpful with our indecisiveness. Sydnie (Fairy God Mother) and the rest of the staff for both rehearsal dinner and the wedding itself were incredible! Special shout out to Sydnie - she asked at the end of the night if I wanted to keep my bouquet or not. I knew i was leaving on my honeymoon the next day and wasn’t sure about travel/how it would keep. I ultimately said no I don’t need it, but she saw me hemming and hawing over it and kept it anyway. Thank God she did, because my “something borrowed” was still wrapped around it. After the wedding I was freaking out, but the next morning the bouquet and chain were still there waiting for us. This is just one example of the thoughtfulness and professionalism of the staff at Running Deer. They knew exactly what to do, what we needed, and we never waited for anything. We are so thankful to have had the wedding of our dreams. This time last year we thought we would all be in masks, cut down guest list, and fully outside. We were able to have our wedding exactly as we originally planned pre-Covid. The outdoor tent was even taken down the day before we got there, so our outdoor ceremony at the pergola was all out in the open as well. I could go on and on about how incredible our experience was. Now we just need a friend to get married there so we can go back and enjoy it as a guest! 😂

ll happened with only 3 months. Then unfortunately wedding got postponed again and Miranda worked with us to get a new date. Running Deer was so accommodating given all the circumstances happening with the pandemic. On the day Miranda and Heather made sure everything was in place. The whole night was so amazing. Heather made sure we were eating and always had a drink in our hand. The food was delicious and everyone was so warm and welcoming. I loved everything about Running Deer!

randa was the most phenomenal person ever she bent over backwards 24/7 to make sure that I had everything I needed to feel at peace with my wedding day. On my wedding day, Heather was the most amazing soul in the world to be around. She made me feel like an absolute princess. Me and my husband were amazed at how fantastic everything went, she kept everything running so smoothly… I was not in need the entire day. Of course my wedding day was 10° below the seasonal temperature and it was pouring rain. The vendor companies had dropped all of the equipment off in the wrong places. She refused to let me handle any of the situations. She called up all the vendors and moved everything inside and into the tent re-decorated everything and pulled decorations from the middle of nowhere to make the ballroom absolutely gorgeous for my ceremony. I couldn’t have asked for more amazing day for my wedding. I wish that I could relive our wedding day over and over and over again! If you’re even considering going with anyone else besides Running Deer, you’ll regret it. I will never feel more like a princess than I did on October 25, 2020.

They were the best and I cannot compliment them both as individuals enough. With COVID, we had to switch things up and host outside. With that, the ceremony was beautiful and the grounds were well maintained. They kept us informed of any and all changes with the state regulations as they knew of them. Heather D. Was our maitre d for the night of the wedding and she was super helpful and very sweet. She kept me calm as possible going into the ceremony and I appreciate that! My only negatives for the venue were that we were missing two appetizers during cocktail hour that were in our contract and talked about during the final meeting, golf carts ran during the back ground of our ceremony after they stated it wouldn’t happen, and they misplaced one of our decorative signs. All in all it was a wonderful time but some parts should have been handled better. I would recommend this venue!

One of my bridesmaid's dresses was kind of falling apart even before the ceremony started, and Heather literally pulled out a thread and needle and fixed it for her on the spot. Absolute anything I needed, Heather was there. There wasn't a moment throughout the day/night that I didn't have a Jameson & ginger in my hand. And to top it off, the venue is absolutely stunning. The grounds are well kept, and ballroom is beautiful with new floors, the bride & grooms suites are so spacious, and the food was off the charts. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you staff of Running Deer for making my wedding day absolutely perfect.

ure we were 100% certain about our decision. She had gone to a family-friend's wedding at RD and she thought we would be really impressed. Turns out, she was right! When we toured with Miranda, we were completely blown away. It was her sweet, caring demeanor, attention to detail and calming presence that had us convinced we had to have our wedding at the Running Deer. We never questioned our decision in choosing RD throughout the entire planning process (which is ironic, since we are both attorneys and it is our job to question everything!) Miranda and Kaitlyn made the planning process smooth and seamless. They were an absolute joy to work with. All of the details for the ceremony and reception came to life in a beautiful way. The day of the wedding, Heather could not have been more of an angel (and I think I called her an angel at least 5 times that night). She made sure we always had a drink in our hand, food to eat, and that things were going smoothly. When a button on my bustle flew off, I didn't even have to tell Heather. She saw the whole thing, pulled me aside, and fixed it with a bobby pin. On top of all of this, the venue accommodated my gluten and dairy free food allergies with the most delicious meals--from appetizers to entrees. s great and when it came to setting up, they really made my vision come to life. Not only did they make sure that I was doing great that day but our family and friends as well. Running Deer made my wedding day as perfect as can be. If you haven’t picked a spot yet I would def suggest them 100 times over !!

how frivolous and to listen to any concerns we might have had along the way! The venue is absolutely gorgeous including the ballroom and grounds but the staff are truly wonderful! Heather D. was my literal fairy godmother the night of our wedding! She took care of my husband and I, the bridal party, and our families all night. She made sure every detail was perfect and that we were all enjoying ourselves! She had fresh drinks for us at every turn and even helped bustle my dress when my bridesmaids were enjoying cocktail hour! The whole team at Running Deer truly goes above and beyond and you won’t be disappointed having your wedding there! Thank you again Miranda, Kaitlyn, Heather D. and the entire Running Deer staff!!

e made it fun and organized so I felt like I had nothing to worry about. Heather is AN ACTUAL ANGEL. She made sure I had anything I needed the day of and I can hands down say she made my day as amazing as it was because she was with me every step of the way. Even when I was doing my first look and was super nervous, the girls working at the halfway house chatted with me to ease my nerves. I wish I could re-do the day a million times and its all because of the amazing people at Running Deer!

ck to respond and I never felt in the dark about anything going on at the venue. On the day of the wedding, Heather was always there by my husband's and I's side if we need anything at all, like a drink on an 80 degree day. I had a brunch buffet wedding and all of the food was fantastic. They had a nice selection for all different type of food for my guest to pick from. This venue is insanely beautiful. I have guest still talking about our big day because of how nice running deer is and because of their staff. We would recommend running deer to everyone we possible could because that is how great they are.
