Of them all, she had chosen Russell Anthony Florist of Bensalem, PA. for her own wedding. While he was local for us, he was hours from the venue. After meeting, it was obvious to us that, not only could Russell do that which we wanted; he would also help us in all necessary areas that we were too novice to recognize. He suggested fine touches and embellishments to his already beautiful design. During our discussions, he was able to discern what my daughter would like for her bouquet as well as our tastes for the centerpieces before we could put our ideas into words. As we browsed through his portfolio and walked through his warehouse, I was distracted. I could only think, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., 3 hours away, in February. I must be crazy. What happens if there is a giant snow storm and this guy could not get there. Russell explained that if the roads were not closed by the state troopers, he and his team would arrive. He would, if necessary, have a refrigerated truck and arrive two days early. The wedding day arrived with no snow. The flowers were more than magnificent. They were almost as beautiful as my daughter. Pillars, with flowers atop, lined the ceremony path. Petals lined the “runway”. The Chupah was unique and incredibly adorned with beautiful orchids My daughter’s favorite flower is the calla lily, and they were incorporated throughout the wedding. The centerpieces were full and set well above eye level so as not to obscure our guests at the dinner. The tables and the “party” room had a most romantic and sparkling ambiance. Russell helped the bride and groom to have the wedding that one dreams about. Russell Anthony is a truly wonderful and talented artist. More importantly, Russell was easy to talk with and easy to work with. He was eager to bring to “life” the brides and our visions. Our wedding was in December, so he also gave us a clear idea of what flowers were available in season within our color scheme - he has a ton of experience & knowledge and it shows! It's a good idea to go to your initial meeting with photographs of arrangements & colors you like, to give him a clear idea of what you want. He is responsive via email but it's best to get him on the phone. The flowers at our wedding were gorgeous - guests continue to comment on how beautiful our chuppah and centerpieces were. My bouquet was exactly as I envisioned and he made the prettiest corsages for our grandmothers. Walking around the venue prior to the wedding, I couldn't stop looking at the gorgeous flowers. Would gladly use Russ again for any future event!

What really sold us on him was his willingness to create a centerpiece and bridal bouquet mock up at our second meeting. They were both gorgeous, completely captured the vision we were going for, and perfectly mimicked our inspiration pictures. We booked him right then and there! Russell also came up with innovative ideas such as using our tall centerpieces to be our décor down the aisle. When I snuck a peek at the ceremony set up on the day of, I was blown away. The Chuppah, uplighting, draping, and tall centerpieces were absolutely breathtaking! We received so many compliments on our flowers and on my bouquet. Russell was a joy to work with, his prices cannot be beat, and I would highly recommend him as a wedding florist.

a memorable event. We met at his shop a few times to go over details and it was a breeze bc I had already had my decor in mind.The theme I coined was "Timeless Elegance". Pearl accessories (hair clip, garter (love ETSY), all custom stationary matched with neutral undertones, ivory linens & chair covers, candles to set ambiance, my lovely Maggie dress Priscilla style etc.I chose tall glass V shaped centerpiece glasses filled with clear seaglass with white calla lillies, babies breath & twig sprigs. We had 10 centerpieces. Candles were on all the tables & we had a sweetheart table decorated. As for all the bouquets, I had pink & white roses with pearl pins wrapped stem, 5 girls had all baby pink bouquets, a throw bouquet, roses on the cake around the bottom and top tier with our monogram, the 5 guys had pink rose boutonnieres , my groom had a white rose one, my father had a white rose dipped in the color of her dress (blue) to match my mother's corsage & my in-laws the same only her dress was a different color of course. My bridesmaids were in long, one strap, empire waist, rushed bust semi sweetheart neckline Alfred Angelo gowns in the the color Jade. Our wedding was April 26, 2014. The colors popped the dresses and groomsmen were in black suits with matching Jade vests/ties/scarf with white dress shirts. It was a beautiful spring day and Russ made our wedding the talk of the event/staff/visitors bc we were the first wedding at the newly renovated Inn at Lambertville Station & it was also Shadfest!!! Had so much fun that day and now he is the florist for my brother and future SIL wedding next year! Thanks again Russ!!!

The first glimpse I got a glimpse into how easy Russ would be to work with is when he was willing to meet with my fiance and I any time over the weekend, we would just need to pick a time. We drove up and a cold and blustery Saturday to his warehouse. We immediately felt at ease with Russ, as he navigated between my desire for elegance and my fiances desire for contemporary. Overhearing me tell my fiance that we couldn't afford orchids (my fiances favorite flower) he said, let me see what I can do. An not only did he create one of the three varieties of centerpieces all orchids, and incorporated orchids into all three but all of the groomsmen boutonnieres were orchids as well (for no increase in the price). He helped us shave off pricing with ideas such as using the flowers from the ceremony arch as the same flowers as the head table and stayed around to move them himself. I could have not been more pleased with the quality and service I received from Russell Anthony florists. I honestly to this day can't believe I could afford flowers that elegant and beautiful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
