About this vendor
Ruth and Orion Photography provides exceptional fine art wedding coverage with a personal and relaxed touch. Your wedding should be the happiest and most seamless day of your life, and we want to make you feel as comfortable as possible in front of the lens. We're a little more hands-on than a photojournalist and will help you strike the perfect pose during portraits, but we also adore catching candid moments. What’s most important is each frame telling its part of the story. Ultimately, our style is classic and dramatic documentary with a lust for Dutch Golden Age light. We're known for our cheerful energy and professionalism. We strive to make photos that couples will look back on decades from now and be able to experience not only the day but the emotion all over again.

Hannah and I worked weddings together (second shooting for each other) for two and a half seasons before I moved from DC to NY. I literally would never have chosen to work so often...
with anyone else. I'm currently having a hard time finding someone I get along with better while working a wedding. On a wedding day, Hannah is energetic, extremely positive, and genuine. Being photographed is awkward, we all know this. Hannah makes sure that her brides and grooms are comfortable in front of the camera, that they feel confident in themselves on the most important day of their lives. Don't even get me started on the actual product she puts out. The ability to catch the perfect amount of light, with just enough dramatic without seeming over the top, always amazes me. Since I can't work the DC wedding circuit anymore, I recommend Hannah and only Hannah to any potential leads in my own stomping grounds. Hire her, you won't regret it.
