Megan, the coordinator for events, was a saint. Working with her was singlehandedly the easiest part of wedding planning. We’d reach out with full confidence that she’d be ready to help and available, and she continuously exceeded our expectations. The staff was not only helpful, but so genuinely kind—everyone from security, to the caterers, to the coordinators showed so much warmth and kindness during our wedding.
The event space was stunning. The outdoor patio with market lighting was so striking during our ceremony, and even more beautiful as the night went on. It was so spacious, we set up outdoor games for guests to play with the extra space. Indoor is a beautiful space with dynamic lighting, great sound, and options for projectors and other extra touches. Linens are provided in-house with seriously, over 100 color options for napkins and tablecloths. The staff did so much to make this space truly our own.
Having it as a performing arts space was also so advantageous— parking was so easy and free for our guests, and the bridal suite was really large, fully stocked, had TWO BATHROOMS, and was a great place to prepare.
Last but not least, the food. It was nothing short of miraculous. The in-house catering options were way more extensive than the other venues we looked at. Stunning options and upgrades like a MASHED POTATO BAR (both regular AND sweet potatoes, seriously) were available, affordable, and easy to add. It’s been days since our wedding and people keep telling me how good the food was. Personally, I’ll dream about that baked ziti forever.
Working with Ruth Eckerd Hall, Megan, and the other staff there were genuinely the best decision we made throughout the wedding process. I only ever considered it because of a glowing review, so let me just say— if you want a personalized, easy to plan, memorable wedding for yourself and your guests, I highly endorse reaching out to Ruth Eckerd Hall.

We wound up with 178 and I would say that we definitely had room for more, if we needed. Working with Rene was sooo incredibly easy. She is so on top of things and it is evident that she does this often and has an eye for what she's doing. She helped with every detail, the tables, the chairs, the linens, the chargers, the lighting, the furniture we had on the patio... she took care of it all! All we did was have conversations with her about what we wanted and she did the rest. The whole bridal party was even able to get ready for the day - with our Salon coming on site - in a room downstairs. It was amazing because we were able to see the room come together as each vendor came to do some set up. Liz, Sylvette, and the rest of their team did an incredible job on the night of, working so incredibly hard to keep everything running seamlessly and successfully! The food was delicious, the room looked better than I could have imagined, and no one in attendance had to worry about a thing the entire night. I am forever grateful to the team there & want to re-live the day over and over again!!
Rene has got to be one of the BEST venue managers out there EVER! She is detail oriented, nice, caring, attentive, and is basically "inside your head" to know exactly what you want...
. She was a 100% NON-STRESSFUL vendor for our wedding, and I felt so at ease knowing our reception was in her hands. I literally did not worry about one thing with Rene. The Great Room was being renovated all summer and literally, our wedding was the first one in the room. I visited the venue 2 days before the wedding, and although there was still construction workers around the room, Rene assured me there would be no issues for Saturday...she was 100% correct. The room was BEAUTIFUL and her staff did such an amazing job. If you're looking for a venue that is different from others you have seen (i.e. country clubs)...this is the place for you. The cocktail hour can be out on the 3rd floor terrace which makes it even more beautiful. Check this place our for sure and calm your nerves by working with Rene. She's awesome!!!!
Rene was good to work with. At our final walk through I was not really feeling the layout, so we were able to change it and make everything perfect. The staff that day worked hard ...

First of all...cost- if you are looking for a beautiful venue at a much more reasonable cost than the beach hotels, Ruth Eckerd is the place. I estimate that we saved almost $10,00...

Renee Eichelburger is absolutely wonderful to work with- honestly, I really can't give her enough praise. She made it happen- a wealth of knowledge and such a happy, bubbly personality. She always found the time to answer any questions and took soooo much stress off.
The room was beautiful with that wonderful chandelier. The terrace was awesome for the cocktail hour and the servers and bartenders were great. Our meal was created by the inhouse Chef and was Thee Best wedding meal I have ever had. I still can't believe that he made all those delicious steak & chicken duet plates at one time and they tasted like we were in a fine dining restaurant.
Lots of parking (free), enough bathrooms, a nice entrance and lots of room for a big dancefloor and even a photobooth. They also had this fantastic room setup for the bridal party when they arrived so they could freshen up - complete with hors d'oeuvres and even a drink order. All in all, we couldn't have been happier.
My reception was held at Ruth Eckerd and I loved every minute of it. Rene was an amazing help!

te changing area for the women that was very nice - if there's no show going on that day. There's also a nice balcony for outdoor entertaining if it's not too hot.;We only had 2 hours to set up the room and get ready, which seemed like a lot of time, but it would have been nice to have more. You have to be flexible because somethings like the woman's changing area depends on whether or not it's available, and that can't be determined until last minute.
