ed out of Ruthe Jackson Center we knew without a doubt that we were in good hands with Cheryl Allgood. Through all the blood, sweat and tears she never stopped pushing for us to get to the finish line and have the best day we could ever have. The day of the event Cheryl never left our sight and she made sure it was perfect and everything we have ever dreamed of. Thank you Cheryl for giving Rosy and I the perfect wedding day Her opinion: For all the future brides don’t ever let anyone tell you fairy tale endings don’t exist because they do, you just have to find the right person. Not only did I find the right person to spend the rest of my life with but I found the perfect venue. Not only was the venue perfect but the location was exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want my guests driving an hour + to make it to our wedding, little did I know as a Grand Prairie resident I had the perfect venue 10 minutes away from Home. Ruthe Jackson was perfect! Their staff was so professional and made sure to make our special night unforgettable . The last week right before the wedding Cheryl touched base with me daily and made sure I didn’t stress about anything because she had everything under control. Being a control freak that I am, before I could ask her about anything she had all my questions and concerns answered and taken care of. Ruthe Jackson felt like home and all their staff felt like my family. Each one of them cared about that day like it was their day. Cheryl never left my side and anytime I needed something or my guest needed anything she was there! Definitely a fantastic venue for all my future brides.

It is a gem of a venue with gorgeous lighting, fancy bridal room, beautiful garden, and fantastic food! The chef will definitely not disappoint you!

ue simply because we got to work with Cheryl Allgood (the venue event coordinator). She was so easy to talk to and made everything so easy for us. She was very flexible, easy to reach, and helped us meet all of our needs/ wants within our budget. She gracefully handled unpleasant situations and fixed every minor inconvenience that arose so I didn’t have to worry about anything. We call her our fairy God mother. She was kind and was looking out for us throughout the whole night making sure we didn’t miss anything on our timeline, even hemmed my dress so I could actually get through our first dance. She also went above and beyond and gave us some extra things to make our wedding even more beautiful than we expected. She gifted us a date day while we were planning our special day, and I was the first bride to use the bridal suite, and let me tell y’all! It was gorgeous! Spacious, great for photos, had a steamer, coffee machine etc. Everything you would need to get ready. I could go on and on but to summarize We recommend the Ruthe Jackson center 100%.

has lots of room to explore and for our guests to have conversations among each other. They also have a gorgeous courtyard that we took some of our wedding photos. Inside the courtyard you can probably have a small ceremony with a nice pavilion back there. Before all that, when you first walk into the RJC right in front of you is a beautiful waterfall display accented by plants and highlighted with some nicely placed lighting. Directly to the left of the entrance is a nice little homey area where we had enough space to set up the photobooth and also some children's entertainment. The ballroom itself is absolutely breathtaking. With ceilings reaching above 20 feet, exquisite chandeliers, recessed ceiling lighting, and tons of space for up to 450 guests it is a wonderful experience when everything gets decorated and set up. The manager of the RJC, Cheryl, was so sweet and helpful with our wedding planning. Cheryl is so easy going and sincere. She accommodated whatever she could to help us achieve our dream wedding. Me and my wife would definitely recommend the RJC for any type of event whether it's for a wedding, a company banquet, or even a family get together!

I can't thank Cheryl enough for all her amazing knowledge and suggestions to ensure that my daughters special day was great. She was always available no matter when to answer questions. I wanted to surprise my daughter and son-in-law with a special surprise and she went over and beyond to ensure that it was made available on the big day. The garden was beautiful the day of our wedding in early June. The maintenance team takes such great care of the garden. I have heard my fair share of wedding planning disasters and stressful events but I honestly feel as if our wedding was one of the easier ones to plan. The Ruthe Jackson center takes care of almost everything; the food, the drinks, the wedding timeline, and more. Cheryl, specifically, was excellent. Throughout the planning stage, she told us what we needed to have and by when. She was practically our coordinator. The only thing my wife and I had to do was find a DJ, a photographer, a florist, a cake, and take care of minor decorations for our guest signing table and things of that nature. During the wedding, Cheryl made sure that our guests were taking care of and that we stayed on top of the wedding timeline to ensure that things went smooth. We went all out in the ballroom for the reception, including the ceiling drape, the uplighting, the gobo, and all the works, this huge ballroom could not have had more of a WOW factor!! I can not hardly wait to see the pictures. The staff at the RJC -- there are not enough positive descriptive words for Cheryl Allgood, Ashley and the entire RJC Staff. They made their work seem seamless and effortless, when I am quite sure that it is anything but! They make sure that everything flows smoothly and take so much pressure off of the bride and groom and most definitely the mother of the bride! Cheryl has got to be the most calm person that I have ever met and yet, she manages to keep everything in total order. Do I recommend this facility for your special day? 100% yes! You will not be disappointed.

mony looked flawless! And the ballroom was exactly what we wanted! The great part about it all is that there is no sharing on your special day. We had the whole venue to ourselves, equipped with a separate bride and groom room with mirrors and steamers. Did I mention they have someone there who sews in an emergency?! Most of all, I have to give thanks to the most important people there, who were the staff. From Cheryl, the wedding coordinator, to the servers, and handy-men who set up tables, drapery, and lighting, you all were so great! I was simply amazed at how helpful and prepared every single staff member was. Everything ran so smoothly at my wedding it couldn't have been any more perfect or beautiful. I could go on and on about Cheryl, her staff, and this amazing venue but I would rather you check it out for yourself and be AMAZED! You will not regret it. Cheryl has a spectacular amount of experience and she can refer you to some of the best vendors to help make your day that much more great and less stressful! I received so may comments about how beautiful my wedding was; a friend of mine is already booking her wedding here for next year! e done a better job. We did have one small issue with the bar-- though we had ordered the premium bar, they didn't realize this and just served beer and wine for the first few hours. They finally brought out the liquor once the father of the groom said something, and then provided liquor for the rest of the night free of charge (so we still only paid for beer and wine). It actually worked out really well. Overall the venue was gorgeous (despite it being in the middle of Grand Prairie) and the service was amazing. The food was pretty good. Not the best, but still good, and still worth it.

She has organized hundreds of weddings, yet she still brought a touch of magic and uniqueness to ours. We are grateful to her and the RJC staff for all their hard work and we HIGHLY recommend them to anyone planning a wedding. up with the way I've been treated by the Ruthe Jackson Center, you could not pay me to have my wedding here. I first came across this venue while researching different locations in the DFW area. It seemed pretty enough, and I was interested in pricing, so I emailed Cheryl, the events manager (?). Now, I have a slightly unconventional name, I'll give her that. But it was spelled out clearly both in my email address field, in my email address itself, and in my signature. Somehow she managed to get past all that and completely butchered my name in her response to me. How do you misspell a word that is sitting right in front of your face? It was a small, but telling warning that I should have heeded. I emailed her back thanking her for the response - and gently correcting her spelling of my name. She never responded to acknowledge her mistake. Why would I want to give you thousands of dollars to host an event for me if you can't even bother to spell my name right or apologize when you mess it up? I initially wanted to write the venue off right then, but again - I thought it was pretty. So when I received an invite to their open house/bridal show that was set to take place this evening, I decided it couldn't hurt to go check it out. My fiance and I drove an hour from Irving to Grand Prairie to attend the open house. We arrived to find an empty parking lot and dark building. Checked the address - we were at the right place. Checked the invite - it was the right date and time. Eventually an employee told us "he guessed they weren't doing it this year." That was the last straw. This venue is disorganized, unprofessional and sloppy. They also apparently like to try to have your reviews pulled from websites when they disagree with you, which is real cute. Steer clear!

ade sure we knew all of our options and what would work well together. The ballroom transformed into more than I ever imagined it could be with the draping and up-lighting. Cheryl really knows what she is doing. She kept everything on time and running smoothly. It was the perfect night for us and all of our guests. I am so happy we chose to use the RJC.

we were swept away, the outdoor garden was breathe taking and every inch of the ballroom was decorated as if a wedding was about to take place. The food was amazing and the service was excellent, we were able to come in the day before the wedding and drop off decorations, guest book and dresses. Cheryl (the wedding coordinator) was personally talking to everyone at the event and made everyone feel welcome. We came back the following week and booked our wedding date. Cheryl is an amazing coordinator, she is so helpful and loves what she does. I would contact her maybe once a week for advice on a vendor or just questions I would have and she was always willing to help and gave excellent advice. I used everyone she recommended and never had a problem. You can tell that Cheryl loves what she does and she genuinely wants to make your wedding day perfect.

llgood was the most helpful and understanding individual I could have asked for as a coordinator. She was always available to meet with me and answer questions. She was prompt with her responses via phone messages or email. With her help, the rehearsal went smooth (as smooth as can be with my crazy family!) and I had zero apprehension when the Big Day came when it involved the staff, vendors, and RJC as a whole. Cheryl even helped me to include a few last minute changes and everything went off without a hitch. She worked closely with the catering vendors and our INCREDIBLE DJ. I really can't say enough good things about our experience. It was truly the perfect place to celebrate our wedding day and our new commitment.

RJC staff did a great job in providing excellent service. The food was AMAZING and we were glad we used their vendor too (included in the price of the RJC and we served alcohol too). We had up lights in our purple and green colors up against the ballroom walls provided by our DJ service to add an extra wow factor to the grand ballroom. There was an event booked during the day before our wedding and at first I was worried my homemade and vintage décor would not get set-up in time. Cheryl did a great job communicating with me and her staff to help set up the necessary decorations for my wedding (card and gift table, center-pieces that were not floral, candles, table numbers, table placement cards, and vintage pieces). The wedding party was able to arrive early and get ready in separate large rooms across from the bathrooms and a hand held steamer was provided for us to steam our wedding attire. My photographers were able to arrive early to take pictures of the ballroom, foyer décor, and garden as well as bridal party pictures in plenty of time before the wedding started. Unfortunately, it poured for three days the weekend of my wedding and we were unable to have the garden outdoor ceremony. We had to follow plan B for rain and had the ceremony on the smaller ballroom that was separated from the main ballroom. It was still pretty and we have beautiful black and white photos that look great. Although I was disappointed in the rain, my husband and I came back to the RJC for our anniversary to take pictures in our wedding attire and take family pictures out in the garden for FREE!!! During the ceremony and reception, Cheryl was very organized and coordinated the necessary events with my DJ to keep everything on time but was very polite in the process. I am Czech and we have a traditional wedding march that included as many of our 200 guests in the process. After dinner, the RJC staff did a great job clearing specific dinner tables out and coordinated with our DJ to get the wedding guest involved. Of all the Czech weddings, this was the biggest wedding march I have been a part of and it went very smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised that we were allowed to light and use sparklers during our send-off and it made the night feel very much like a fairytale ending to our wedding! Like I said earlier, my husband and I returned later for our anniversary to take family pictures out in the garden for free and Cheryl once again was very accommodating. Thank you RJC for making my special day wonderful and allowing us to come back to celebrate our love by taking anniversary pictures!

I ended up going to the bridal show at the venue and really enjoyed myself because I was able to taste food from the local vendors and physically see and talk to the local photographers and wedding service vendors. The vendors at the show were all recommended and had been used many times by the Ruthe Jackson center. At the end of the show there was a drawing for thousands of dollars worth of vendor discounts and venue rental money. I won the prize and that is how it all started. From the very beginning of the wedding planning process Cheryl, wedding coordinator/planner was very professional and easy to work with. I worked with her for about a year planning my wedding with every little detail. Cheryl has much experience and was able to answer all of my questions. She was great at responding back to my emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Our wedding went great. It went by quick but every detail came together perfect. The venue looked wonderful with the decor we chose. The food was very good including the cake. Many guests complimented on the venue outside ceremony location and reception ballroom location. I am very happy this venue in all and would recommend it to many.

During my reception she stepped in to 'assist' and sped everything up, pretty much rushing us out of the building. I didn't get photos of my cake ;( because she forced us to cut, do our first dance and toasts in 10 minutes after we'd begun eating. Overall I loved the venue but I was pleased with Cheryl after it was all said and done.

Someone we know recommended the Ruthe Jackson Center and we set up an appointment immediately. We loved the service and amenities it included, we couldn't pass it up. It is a pricey venue, but if you want the wedding of your dreams, their prices are very reasonable. Choosing the Ruthe Jackson Center was the best venue we could have chosen. Also, the chef helped us create a menue affordable for us! We had an amazing wedding and Cheryl helped make our day the best. We couldn't and wouldn't have had as amazing of a wedding without her. Please don't let the prices turn your cheek. This venue really does work with you and cooperate with your budget and needs!! I had my dream wedding at the Ruthe Jackson Center for sure! :)

r garden and the large open ballroom at our first visit, and knew it was the place for our "I Do's". During the planning process, Cheryl Allgood helped us with our timelines, deadlines and was available during those most stressful moments. The spacious, garden provided an intimate feel for our ceremony as our guests were drawn to focus on the large gazebo where we and our wedding party stood. My husband and our minister were given a microphone so that our guests could hear every special detail of our ceremony. The garden is elegant, timeless, and full of effortless detail from the lights in the trees to the flowers planted throughout the grounds. Not to mention, our pictures are stunning. When we were announced into our reception, the doors opened to my purple oasis. The draping, lighting, table decorations, cake tent, and room set up was everything I had imagined. We got to enjoy some amazing Italian food from a partnering vendor that Ruthe Jackson uses and it was excellent. So many times you attend weddings and the food is below average. That was not the case here. It has been a year since our special day and our friends and family still talk about our wedding. If you choose Ruthe Jackson like we did, you can expect a high quality venue with a built in wedding planner, an intimate outdoor garden ceremony that requires minimal decoration (money saver), and an unforgettable ballroom.

ding went so smoothly and I had no doubts in my mind that it wouldn't be perfect because Cheryl, the wedding coordinator, loves what she does and knows how to plan a wedding amazingly. I never had to stress the day of the wedding. She makes sure she keeps in touch and makes plans for several meeting times to make sure you get what you want and that everything is perfect for you. The garden, by far, is the most beautiful setting for an outdoor ceremony. You don't even need your own floral arrangements or any decorations because the flowers, pond, arbor, fireplace, chandelier, and trees with lights in them is gorgeous. And the ballroom, is perfect for a reception. The day of my wedding, it started raining a couple of hours before the ceremony was supposed to start. There is a room with glistening wooden floors and a huge open window that looks out into the garden that would have been a great backup plan. However, the rain stopped in time, and the sun came out and cooled the summer night off just enough for the bridal party and guests to be comfortable for the ceremony. My bridal party, family, and guests were all very pleased with the service, facilities, ceremony, and reception. I have heard many many times, "This place is the most beautiful place I have ever seen!" I could go on and on about all the wonderful things The Ruthe Jackson Center has to offer, but I will say that I hope this place is still around when the day comes that I have a daughter of my own and it is time to start planning her very own wedding, because I know she would fall in love with it just as I did.
