Ruthi Hutson Cakes

Ruthi’s cakes were amazing. She had a nice sample box for us to try. The wedding and the carrot cake flavors were to die for. We had rave reviews from our guests. We recommend and would definitely work with her again!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Ruthi!!! Not only is her talent OUT OF THIS WORLD, despite stating on social media she was busy and may take a little to respond to emails, she answered me super quick. My daughter got married in October and hired Ruthi to be her cake vendor. I wanted to surprise Hannah and my son-in-love with cat themed cookies. They had a cat theme all through the wedding so this was the perfect sweet surprise. Ruthi not only agreed, despite being super busy, she did exactly what I had requested, delivered two amazing cakes and fabulous cookies (super yummy too). She even sent me photos of the cookies (unwrapped) in case the photographer didn't take them out before photographing them. I'm soooo blessed she sent me the photos (totally not even a thought in my mind) for several reasons! It was one of the special parts of the day and I even have amazing photos of them to boot! So many vendors will ignore the MOB, only talk to the bride/groom and essentially give bad customer service because MOB isn't the "contracted" client. I've been a photographer for over 13yrs and while I get it, treating the MOB badly isn't smart. Ruthi did the exact opposite and not only made me feel important, she beyond delivered and made me feel loved and heard. It was cool that she got excited about doing them too. Ruthi, thank you, thank you, thank you for being such a blessing! I know we don't live very close but any bride and groom I can send your way, I will. I will forever recommend you <3

Ruthi was the absolute best - she nailed our cakes vision (both the bride and groom’s cake). We got so many compliments on the cake after the wedding. She was so nice and communicative - will definitely reach out for event cakes in the future!

I hired Ruthi for my wedding and our cake was STUNNING. I truly could not have had a more beautiful cake for our day. The flavors were outstanding - we chose Almond and Cinnamon, but all the options were tasty. Her communication was amazing, she was flexible with getting us a tasting kit, and she absolutely nailed our vision. Not only will I recommend her every chance I get, I plan on finding a reason to use her in the future.

Ruthi was amazing from start to finish. I had seen her palette knife floral cakes and knew that was exactly what I wanted for my wedding cake. I told her our colors and the style of floral I preferred and gave her free reign for design. The end result was stunning. She also did a wonderful job on the grooms cake (an Xbox with the Halo game sitting on top). Flavors were amazing (brides cake being amaretto w/ espresso buttercream, grooms cake was Dr. Pepper w/ cream cheese frosting). We had multiple people rave about the flavors and that the cake was stunning. Additionally, our parents surprised us with cookies that had cat silhouettes and florals. She could not have done any better. I was blown away by them.

Out of all my vendors, I got the most compliments on my cake and dessert bar. So many guests came up to me saying it was the best cake that they have ever had a wedding. Beyond taste, all of the desserts were decorated perfectly to match our theme!

Ruthi is truly superb! What first drew me in was her gorgeous multi-tier floral cakes, they are gorgeous! But after trying a few of her samples we knew we had to have her for our wedding day. Ruthi was truly one of my favorite vendors to work with. She not only provides great & quick communication to make sure she captures your vision but she will truly not disappoint. I remember seeing my cake for the first time… I truly was in awe! We chose a 4 tier, real floral cake to match our flowers. But she somehow took my vision & made it 1000x better. No kidding. The amount of people that raved about the taste was endless. I also received a handful of comments saying that it was the most beautiful wedding cake they had ever seen. I truly recommend her for any event. I cannot wait to use her again in the future!

Our planner found us Ruthi when my husband decided he wanted a Dr. Pepper flavored grooms cake. We immediately fell in love with her style and that Dr. Pepper buttercream was AMAZING. Our cakes turned out perfectly. My winter sweater cake was absolutely beautiful and we still hear from people about the chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream and Reese’s candy bits. It was absolutely delicious.

So excited to be able to write a review - I'm fully biased as this is my amazing sister - however, your harshest critics are the closest to you! With my cake as well as with everything I've ever seen her make, she combines amazing taste, art, and personalization beyond anything I've ever had. My picky eater husband agrees it's the best. We have some great photos of our expressions after taking the first bite which show just how delicious it was! I tell all my friends about her amazing buttercream - seriously WHO likes fondant?! If you have a chance to go to a tasting you should - it will change your life and you will agree!!! :) <3

I cannot recommend her enough!! We were really hesitant on getting a cake, because we both don’t really like cake! She suggested a dessert bar, and the rest is history! We still had cakes, but they were smaller, and we added lots of treats! From her WIDE variety of cake flavors, to her sweet treats, EVERYTHING is amazing. She’s also really affordable, and her work speaks for itself. Such an easy decision to make, and we’re so happy we did! Definitely recommend to anyone I know!!

Delicious cake! Honestly it was probably some of the best cake I've ever eaten. And, we froze some and ate it on our 1st anniversary and it was just as amazing. I highly recommend the chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, but it was all so good!

Ruthi was so fantastic to work with and made my dream cake come to life! She has such a talent decorating cakes! In addition, she has many different flavors and fillings to choose from! Not only did I love how my cake was decorated but it tasted great as well! I will definitely be ordering more cakes from her for other special occasions as well!

I got married on 5/15/21- Ruthi made us a dairy free wedding cake, cupcakes, and classic cupcakes! They were all SO AMAZING! Our guest loved it all, there was so little left that we were sad because we wanted more! I cupcakes that were left were just as good the week following the wedding, haha! Ruthi was so accommodating to make dairy free versions for the groom and his family with allergies- they all loved it! My favorite was our red velvet cupcakes with chocolate ganache- to die for!! The buttercream Ruthi uses is my favorite thing ever, I’m not even typically an icing person. All of Ruthi’s designs are beautiful, I love seeing what she can create! She is also so sweet and knowledge, helping us figure out exactly what we wanted for our wedding desserts. We can’t WAIT to have an event to hire Ruthi for again in the future! Thank you for everything, the sweets were truly one of our most favorite parts of our wedding!

My wedding was on 2.27.21. Ruthi made the most beautiful, elegant cake. It tasted delicious! My guests said the cake was moist and the flavors were so good. Thanks Ruthi for making my cake. Your awesome!

Ruthi was spectacular to work with! I didn’t have much of a specific design in mind, but she took some inspiration photos are created the most magical cupcakes and bridal cake for our reception. Not only do her cakes look beautiful, they taste even better!

I found Ruthi after seeing impressionist cakes on pinterest. I was determined to find someone in my area that could do that and man, did I get lucky! I gave her the colors and told her to go to town with her creativity and it came out so beautiful! And delicious too! So many guests complimented the cake! We had coconut, chocolate, and Italian creme with marshmallow icing. So so delicious! If you want a tasty and beautiful cake, Ruthi is your baker!

Our cake was absolutely amazing. She made a lemon (delicious!!) cake with almost naked frosting and pressed edible flowers and greenery on it. It was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. So beautiful and fit the vibe of my wedding perfectly. We set it on a beautiful stump my dad made and it looked like it all came straight from a forest. Thank you so much Ruthi!

Ruthi is professional, friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. When we picked up samples, she was on time, and the samples were beautiful. We had a very unique request in that we wanted a cake with edible flowers. It was absolutely amazing! It was perfect, both in how it looked and tasted! Ruthi's cakes are affordable, beautiful, and they are all delicious!

Ruthi Hutson is ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY AMAZING! I have worked with the lovely baker on numerous occasions and the work is exceptional. She is so sweet and précised with her work. INCREDIBLE! My cake was everything I could have dreamed of. It tasted delicious and all my guests loved the funfetti. She’s also the most reasonably priced!

Ruthi made our wedding cake and cake balls. Not only did they look absolutely perfect but it was the best cake I've ever tasted. To top it all off it was vegan! We had the Italian Cream and Lemon with cream cheese. She arrived early to our venue and decorated it with flowers herself. She stayed making it look perfect until the last minute! She also delivered it from McKinney to South Fort Worth in perfect condition. She's wonderful to work with, very professional, and above all will make the best cake you've ever had! Cannot recommend her enough!

Ruthi is amazing at what she does!! I showed her a picture of a cake that I thought was cool and she was so excited to recreate it. I turned out even better than the picture I showed her. Her cakes don't just look stunning, but they are too die for. During the tasting, we couldn't decide what flavor, so we picked four :) I highly recommend Ruthi with Ruthi Hudson Cakes. Simply put, Ruthi makes the best carrot cake I have ever tried. She is amazing at what she does. Our wedding cake turned out absolutely lovely and my only regret is that I didn't go for seconds at our wedding reception!

Ruthi is absolutely wonderful at what she does. She made me my dream wedding cake and it was PERFECT! 4 tiers with alternating chocolate and vanilla. It was huge and beautiful. Everyone kept raving about how great the icing was as well. If you need a cake, let this girl make it. You won’t regret it.

She is an amazing artist and cook. Anything you can imagine, she can whip up and design. Our Engagement cake and cupcakes we're exactly what we wanted, and they were delicious.

Ruthi made a BEAUTIFUL red velvet cake for my wedding. (The yellow one pictured with birds on top.) It was exactly what I wanted and absolutely delicious. She is seriously talented and dedicated to giving you the perfect cake!

I was Ruthi’s second wedding cake. I loved working with her! Was super fast with communication and did exactly what I envisioned. The cake tasted incredible. I got cinnamon with vanilla. Buttercream flowers were a hit and my photographer stole some business cards. I highly recommend!
