I can't fit everything into the text boxes on The Knot, so the only way to get the full picture is to go visit me over there! Here's some of what I can fit in the boxes: Photos are physical reminders of the link we have with the people we love. They are the gateway to years passed. They are a welcomed reminder of how much we actually love someone when we feel like we don’t. They are the proof that we loved hard and were loved hard during our time here. Your photos deserve to be taken by someone with as much care as possible for one human to hold. I will preserve the beautiful moments of your life with all the care, attention, and respect they deserve. I’m Ruthie and I document honest, beautiful connection between humans. I care about capturing all of the moments that you two care about. I want to give you photos that will be cherished for generations. I will get you the candid moments, both the quieter + wilder, I will get you the sweet portraits of you two on your day, I will get you all the detail shots of the tables set up and the rings + invites, and I will capture traditional family portraits. I will give you a full wedding experience, with every type of shot. I live in Boise, Idaho, but I travel all over the country to shoot.

a bilingual family situation. We felt comfortable despite never having photos taken of us. She was super nice about having our dog around, her husband even walked our dog around when she wasn't needed for photos. She had great ideas that made us look our best, and we had way more fun than we thought we would. Now everyone in my family wants to get family photos done by her! She really is incredible, what you see is what you get, and she won't let you down. Besides being professional, she is SO FUN to hang out with. What a genuine person. Not only did she put us at ease during photos (engagements, rehearsal dinner, AND wedding day), my family and friends absolutely loved her. If you like a dreamy, calm, cozy, playful, romantic, and candid aesthetic, I can't imagine that you would ever be disappointed. She asks very pointed questions to feel your vibe as a couple, get the images that are most important to you, get a feeling of how much or how little coaching you want during the sessions, and help you decide on gorgeous shoot locations. ding moved to New York, I was heartbroken to think we wouldn’t be able to have her photograph us. But after working out some details Ruthie flew across the country to a little town Upstate NY for our boho wedding! From the moment we met she was part of the fam! She hung out for burgers and fries during our rehearsal dinner (and took the best candids! I highly recommend getting a picture of your ‘last’ kiss), kept us on time getting ready, and rounded out the night dancing like crazy to Come on Eileen. Not only did she capture the most raw and beautiful photos I've ever seen, but she did all this while corralling our ‘excitable’ wedding party (@my brother and the groomsmen). She was a dream to work with and captured so many moments I will cherish for the rest of my life. I honestly could not have asked for a more wonderful wedding photographer. Hi! I am so happy you are here. I truly appreciate every person who shows interest in having me be the photographer to document your precious moments. I’m Ruthie. I believe having your photographs taken is a deeply personal experience. As you’ll see if you look at my website, I work extremely hard to build a true connection between my clients and me. This is how I am able to create my best work. I want to know you + your person to serve you the best way I can, so it’s only fair that I let you know me too.
