Ryan & Rach Photography

We absolutely loved working with Ryan and Rachel! My husband and I aren’t used to having our pictures taken professionally, and Ryan and Rachel put us completely at ease and provided enough directions that we felt super comfortable -- and absolutely loved the end result! We did our engagement pictures where we are currently living in the Boston area so that we could include our pup, and we loved that Ryan and Rachel were willing to travel! For our wedding, they did a great job of being super friendly with everyone, but also making sure that we got all of the pictures that we wanted -- we even wound up running ahead of schedule on pictures! We are so in love with the results and they captured so many beautiful moments so perfectly!

Ryan and Rach are phenomenal. True professionals, easy going, and uber-talented! The late morning/early afternoon of our wedding day, Rach spent her time primarily with the ladies and Ryan hung out with the fellas for a few hours. During the actual event, they were EVERYWHERE! It was almost like there were eight of them...seriously! They were so accommodating and patient with everyone, and everything, at all times. It seemed as though they were always in the perfect position to capture each and every little detail - to include candid shots we would’ve never thought of. We can’t wait to see their work. Choose Ryan and Rach...you will not regret it!!!

We absolutely adored working with Ryan and Rachel. They are the perfect combination of professional and fun. My husband and I knew within a few minutes of talking on the phone during our interview that we wanted to hire them. They have great personalities, and their senses of humor meshed well with ours. On the day before the ceremony, they stopped by the venue/cottage to get some ideas about shots for the next day. You could tell how confident they were in their skills as they formulated ideas for the shots around the property. The next day, before, during, and after the ceremony, they were outstanding. During formal photos with our families and the wedding party, they got everyone in place without being pushy or abrasive. They laughed along with us, and kept things moving. We even did some exciting drone photos down on the beach! We highly recommend hiring Ryan and Rach Photography. In fact, a guest at our wedding has already indicated that she plans on hiring them next year for her wedding. Thank you, Ryan and Rachel!

Ryan and Rach are the perfect team! They are not only super skilled photographers, but they are also great people. They made everyone feel comfortable and were great about making sure we got the photos we wanted. Ryan and Rach were everything and more that we needed on our wedding day. Ryan took care of my husband and the rest of the groomsmen. Rach took care of me and my bridesmaids. She gave us tips on how to hold our bouquets, where to look when walking up and down the aisle, kept me calm while my dad and I were waiting to walk down the aisle. They were right there by our side through the most emotional times of a wedding keeping us calm. On top of all of these wonderful qualities, they are amazing photographers! Their pictures are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! They are such a great team!! I will recommend them over and over again! Thank you both for everything you have done for us!

Ryan & Rach are absolutely incredible! They arrived early on the day of the wedding and instantly had ideas on different shots they could take. They even had this brilliant idea of including our 80s VW bus in pictures after the ceremony. I can not wait to see how they turned out! During all of the pictures they were so helpful and directed everyone with such a high level of professionalism. They have such a good sense of humor and make you feel so comfortable during all of the pictures. They go the extra mile - during the reception they grabbed Michael and I because the stars were so bright and they really wanted to get some more pictures. So they took the time to set up all of their equipment so we could get some really great shots. I only saw the thumbnail on the camera but I'm telling you those pictures are going to be insane! Ryan & Rach - Thank you so much for making our day so incredibly stress free. You were great to work with :) You definitely want to work with Ryan & Rach, they are the best!!

We had a small family wedding in Outer Banks and after doing some research online we chose Ryan and Rach Photography to commemorate our special day. We really liked their portfolio and I thought that if any of our photos turn out the way their other photos looked I would be totally happy with the result. Well, all I can say is that Ryan really delivered! Not only did out photos turn out amazing but it was also such a pleasure to do business with them - Ryan was super responsive via email and phone, was happy to answer any of our questions, and seemed genuinely excited to work with us. On the day of the wedding Ryan quickly put everyone at ease, he is just such a friendly person. Our wedding was a very intimate affair with only the groom's and the bride's immediate family (even our officiant was a family member) so Ryan was the only "outsider." And even then he fit in seamlessly! Ryan made our photoshoot easy and enjoyable - he had a vision of what he wanted to do but was also more than willing to incorporate our wishes. I think that we look so happy and relaxed on our photos partially due to Ryan's ability to make his clients so comfortable. Overall, we got exactly what we hoped from our wedding day - a ton of great memories and beautiful photos to remind us for the rest of our lives about it. If we had to do it all over again we would still pick Ryan and Rach Photography :)

Ryan and Rachel are amazing to work with, extremely professional, kind, and have a true eye for beautiful wedding pictures. I could not recommend them enough.

Ryan and Rachel were so much fun to work with! We first met them when we did our engagement pictures in the Outer Banks. We hadn't yet picked a photographer for our wedding, but after working with them for a few hours it was an easy choice. They were willing to travel to DC for our wedding for no extra charge. We do not yet have all of our wedding photos back, but the pictures that I have seen are absolutely amazing! They were able to get through family pictures really quickly (and we both have large families) so we actually were able to enjoy a little bit of the cocktail hour. I would definitely recommend them!

Where do I even begin? From our first conversation, I knew that Ryan & Rach were the best fit for what I was looking for in photographers for our wedding. They were willing to work with me to create a package that fit our day! When our wedding day came, they played off of each other so well, each adding their own vision and unique touch, and the results were amazing! They were so easy to work with, kind, funny and open to ideas from my husband and I as well, which I loved! Being from New York, their familiarity with the OBX and great locations for photos was so helpful! This husband and wife team is so incredibly talented and I would hands down recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing team of photographers!!

I wish that I could give Ryan & Rach 10 stars. They are incredibly talented, kind, funny, creative, and professional. We did an engagement shoot last fall where they immediately made us feel comfortable and got all of our photo jitters out. On the day of our wedding, they crafted a perfect timeline to make use of the pre-ceremony time to get all of the portraits done, and we still had time to spare. They even looked up the star chart on the night of our wedding, realized that the Milky Way was going to be directly over our venue, and snuck us out for a photo shoot under the stars. The results were breathtaking! All of our family and friends remarked on how Ryan and Rach were fun and easy to work with. We loved working with two photographers who share such a strong bond, and these two are the most dynamic duo.

My husband and I were married on 7.16.16 and one of our favorite parts of the day was working with Ryan and Rachel. They are some of the nicest people we have ever met and really made our day more special than we could have ever imagined. We live in Florida and were married in Virginia, and Ryan & Rachel helped make us feel completely at ease when it came to the stress of planning an out of town wedding. We spoke with them several times over the phone and they were always very quick to respond to any and all questions we may have had. We didn't meet in person until the day of the wedding, but through our correspondences over a year, it felt like we completely knew them. On the day of, they were so bubbly, happy, excited, helpful, and just overall incredible. They were able to capture all of the moments that we wanted and a few that we hadn't even thought of. We had plenty of time with them between the ceremony and reception and they were able to capture some incredible moments. My husband and I have never had professional photos taken, so we didn't know what to expect going in. They helped us through our fears of the camera so we felt completely at ease. We can't wait to see the gorgeous photos! These guys are incredible!!!

Ryan and Rachel were everything that we could have hoped for in photographers and honestly, I hope we just gained two great friends. When starting the process of planning for a wedding the photographer was both mine and my husband's top priority - these are the pictures that you will scroll through today, tomorrow and fifty years or more in the future, so we wanted to have a photographer that would not only take good pictures but also make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. When we found Ryan & Rach, we got two! We opted to have an engagement session at home (in Virginia) prior to the wedding (in North Carolina) and i'm so glad we did, not only did we get great pictures for the guest book, but we got to know Ryan and Rachel more as people and friends before the greatest (yet most stressful) week of our lives. We loved our engagement pictures and they really went above and beyond to get all the greatest shots in our wedding itself. Can't wait to see the finished products! Thanks again guys!

I am so glad my daughter found Ryan and Rachel to photograph her wedding. My first glimpse into their work was from the engagement session. I was so very impressed with their work. The collection of wedding photos are not all ready yet but the sneak preview has me very excited. I was surprised that they would travel all the way from the Outer Banks to Lexington, Va but they did. Ryan and Rachel are really nice people and I loved having them photograph my daughter's wedding.
