With over 20 years of experience, I bring a unique perspective to wedding photography, blending my roots in film photography with the latest digital techniques. Starting with developing negatives and printmaking in my self-built darkroom, I’ve evolved with the digital age, mastering image manipulation in Photoshop. Though mostly self-taught, I have always considered myself a lifelong student of the art. My training at the Visual Arts Center in Portsmouth, VA, and five years at Lifetouch National School Studios have allowed me to perfect my skills in portrait, sports, and group photography. I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless weddings, and each one is a joy and honor to document. . Ryan met with me in person at cafe in town center to get to know me and what my wife and I wanted for our wedding photos. He was flexible with our ideas and was even willing to do our first look photos as well. Ryan also worked well with the wedding coordinator of the church where our wedding was especially since they had quite a bit of restrictions. Ryan arrived to the first look location and wedding venues early and was prepared and ready to go. I’m a photographer myself along with one of my groomsmen and he was open to our suggestions and feedback. Ryan was a pleasure to work with.
After the wedding he got our photos uploaded to a website promptly and my wife and I were able to send the pictures to our loved ones promptly. Everyone including my wife and I love the photos and I get compliments on them frequently. The website with our photos did expire after a few months but he said he’s going to send me a usb drive with all of the photos uploaded on it. My wife and I planned our wedding in 3 months so we needed a photographer who was available, affordable, and awesome. Ryan was that and then some! I would definitely hire him again.

ery moment and he provided over 3 hrs of moments! He was not intrusive or disrupted the ceremony or reception, we hardly knew he was there but yet he captured so many memories. We had initially not planned on doing engagement photos, changed our mind later and Ryan accommodated and was great in providing ideas and different angles for those.
