planning process! He helped with the timeline, made sure we got all the pictures we wanted, but nothing felt uncomfortable or staged. The pictures are beyond all my expectations and Ryan managed to get them to us as soon as we got back from our honeymoon! My husband and I felt so incredibly comfortable and at ease just being ourselves around him. He got so many perfect pictures when we didn't even realize he was near us! Seriously, just hire Ryan and his team and the wedding pictures will be beyond perfect!

Ryan and Mike were organized, relaxed and made taking pictures truly enjoyable. Ryan also took advantage of the weather and made the rain an asset. Scott and I ventured outside a couple of times and end up with some truly breathtaking shots that we will treasure for years to come. be awkward and that the pictures would show this. However, Ryan's energy, organization, creativity, and overall kind presence made us extremely comfortable. He is knowledgeable about the perfect places to shoot and can quickly come up with creative shots on a whim. He went out of his way to make sure that both our engagement and wedding photos were candid and fun versus posed and boring. Looking over our photos from our wedding day really conveyed the story of the wedding and the plethora of emotions and energy everyone felt throughout the day. Our bridal party, friends, and family absolutely adored him and we got tons of compliments on his services as well as photos. Also, his assistant for the day, Mike, was just as knowledgeable and engaging as Ryan was. As for the delivery of pictures Ryan had our wedding photos back almost a week after our event! He gives you a full online album to download every image at no extra cost and sends a USB drive in the mail with all of the photos as well. He was on top of communication and was willing to answer any questions we had. We feel so grateful to have had Ryan and Mike capture our special day and would recommend them for any occasion. After meeting him we realized his ability to put people at ease and his obsession with great photography would be invaluable on our wedding day. We never wanted anyone to own our wedding photos but us. His no-fuss one price approach was perfect. On our wedding day he and his assistant Mike were on top of everything and brought their A game. He gave us ideas for photo opportunities and ran with some of ours. No awkward poses. We got our photos back within 10 days and were absolutely beautiful. Technically perfect and told a beautiful story of our day. He captured so many photos we didn't even know he took. He puts you at ease and after awhile you forget he's there. Our venue coordinator worked with him before and absolutely loved to work with him. The shareable online gallery for friends and family he gave us definitely cut out the work of manually printing and sharing photos with everyone ourselves. t one: his photos are stunning. And it was all the more impressive with our wedding as it was raining pretty much all day and really hard to get outdoor photos. But we actually took some outdoor shots in the rain that seriously looked like they should be in a magazine. It made the outdoor pictures we did take look particularly gorgeous. I also think Ryan is really skilled at working with different types of lighting, and a lot of his pictures have an ethereal quality to them because of how he captures soft light. He's great at capturing emotions, too, and his work tells a story, so he's a great blend of artistic shots and photojournalism. And he is a really great value. A lot of wedding photographers around Chicago start at $5,000 and their pictures aren't nearly as special. Our package was $2,900, and he's worth way more than that. That included an assistant photographer and a fancy-ass wooden box filled with a handwritten note, print released, a few standard prints, and a thumb drive of all our pictures. Finally, working with him was a breeze. He is super laid back, a quality that's really nice when everyone else is stressing you out. We trusted Ryan to come up with a lot of our pose ideas, and I didn't have a shot list beyond showing him which of his previous pictures I liked and having him snap the required family photos. Seriously, book him as soon as you can, you won't regret it and you'll never look better!

Ryan Davis is such a talented professional and great to work with. He saved our day, and captured all our emotion and fun with perfection. I have looked at my pictures daily, I just can't get enough! ith what I got back. Until I found Ryan. I stumbled across Ryan Davis Photography on facebook through a friend of a friend, his portfolio was great so I shot him an email. Once I got his response, I knew he was our guy. Not only was he extremely personable, he answered all of my crazy questions and requests all the way up to my wedding. On the wedding day, his assistant and himself were exactly what I thought via our email conversations. I barely noticed them as the day went along. I think the single best thing about going with Ryan, is the turn around time and quality of the photos. We were on our honeymoon and we got a sneak peak at the photos (granted we were an off peak wedding). We were STILL on our honeymoon and we got all of our photos. And the photos, I was looking through them and just cried. The photos were amazing and just captured everything about our special day. He captured spontaneous moments of us laughing, he got my mom sleeping, he took great portrait photos, he rolled so well with the punches and just...all the words don't do justice. The one thing I wish we got more of, was photos of people dancing. But how was I going to know that that was something I would have liked more of? If I had to pick a wedding photographer again, I would choose Ryan over and over again. I don't recommend people often, but this guy is just, amazeballs. I would highly recommend. This is coming from someone who contacted over 20 photographers and looked at many more, this guy is legit.

d search for months for a photographer. When I came across Ryan Davis' pictures, I knew I had to have him do our wedding. He drove 2.5 hours from Rockford to capture our BIG DAY. I still can't believe how truly amazing the pictures turned out. Not only is he a highly talented and creative photographer, but he's calm and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I have been a part of so many weddings where the photographer was anxious and frazzled...not this guy. Also, his calm demeanor allows him to sort of blend in and capture special and candid moments. I cannot recommend Ryan enough. He also gives you rights to print, download and share all of your pictures via PASS, an awesome photo-sharing site. He even sent us a thumb drive with all of the pics. Are you convinced yet? You will be grateful that you hired him to photograph your wedding. I am. Kellye King Dorman

by checking out the church two weeks in advance, and then stopped by again the night of the rehearsal. I wasn't expecting that but was happy he could do that, as I think it helped the photos turn out even better. The photos were exactly what I was hoping for - very photo journalistic. He captured the day, but still got the posed photos my family wanted. I would definitively recommend him to others. In fact, I'll use him again for family photos in the future.
