Ryan and Jenn, where to begin…. We booked Ryan and Jenn for both our engagement honeymoon session and our wedding and our pictures are GORGEOUS. I've gotten so many compliments from my family and friends about how they have all turned out. From our first phone call, I immediately knew Ryan was going to be one of my favorite vendors to work with. He’s responsive, he’s polite but more importantly he’s REAL. As young professionals who also just finished planning their own wedding, they are empathetic and understanding. Our dynamic quickly shifted into feeling like we were chatting with and old friend rather than our wedding photographer. Planning with COVID was stressful enough and Ryan and Jenn were never not there to answer my question about upcoming new guidelines, planning strategies or even just calm my nerves. Just the reassurance that it is indeed normal to feel borderline psychotic while planning your wedding is sometimes exactly what you need to hear. We got married at Terrydiddle Farm in Rehoboth on 8.21.21. Throughout the day, Ryan and Jenn were there to guide us help us check all our mandatory pictures off the list, but also kept our day running smoothly. My husband isn’t one that enjoys being the center of attention but Ryan was there to keep him light and chatting and distracted from all the attention. All the while, they captured every moment of our day and even caught some of the most perfect candids that no one was expecting. The next day my husband even said he was so thankful that Ryan and Jenn were there and that they felt more like guests than vendors. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover our emotions towards Ryan and Jenn. We can’t wait to document more life chapters with them as I can’t imagine working with anyone else. Ryan DeVoll did the videography at Five Bridge Inn for this couple and was so excited! The property is huge and has great drone appeal! Being the day of coordinator, Soirees by Sonya, I have worked at Five Bridge Inn for years and I love going over all the detail of the property and I cannot wait to see how Ryan DeVoll captured it! If he is excited, I am ten times more excited! Ryan is a social butterfly and made sure to capture the guests and all the love they had for an amazing couple!

We came across Ryan's website, and absolutely loved his approach to wedding photography. We knew from our first phone consult, that we wanted him and his team to be a part of our big day! What a year 2020 has been, and it's been especially hard to navigate for couples planning their weddings. From the very first signs of lock downs and restrictions on social gatherings, Ryan started communicating with his anxious clients in order to help us navigate postponement plans. While we had to postpone our wedding to 2021, we decided that we wanted to elope privately in 2020. When we reached out to Ryan and Jenn about this idea, they were fully on board and Jenn even got ordained to help us accomplish our plan. Talk about a team that goes the extra mile for their couples! We had the best time traversing downtown Providence with Ryan and Jenn as they helped us capture memories of a simple and fun elopement . He captured our joy and love so beautifully! We can't wait to do it all over again next year with family and friends. I know that we'll keep in touch with Ryan and Jenn for years to come and to help us capture memories of the milestones ahead!

Our experiences with Ryan have been simply amazing. It started 3 years ago with our wedding pictures which turned out so incredibly amazing that we started to book with Ryan for yearly family portraits. Ryan & crew are simply amazing at making you comfortable and making sure that the entire process is fun. Ryan did an excellent job photographing my city hall wedding and backyard reception. He is very communicative and easy to talk to and is very in tune with whatever is going on in the industry (esp with the circumstances on 2020). He was very good at communicating about all the concerning things going on with the pandemic via email! His photography is very top notch and the posing feels natural and he is amazing at getting all the shots you request! I love our photos so much :)

Professional, timely, and all around a joy to work with. Our wedding venue plans were postponed a year like so many others due to COVID, Ryan came to our backyard wedding and we couldn’t have been more thankful. Ryan & Jenn did an amazing job capturing our big day in November 2019! They are very professional, patient but also thorough. Ryan put a lot of time in getting to know us and what we liked. They were always very happy and easy to chat with. We had several meetups or calls or emails. Ryan was very accessible (and did I mention patient). Sometimes we had no idea what we would like, but he worked with what we had. He would scout areas to find where he thought we be amazing and they were. Since our initial conversation with Ryan, he was always enthusiastic, warm, professional, and responsive. His primary goals were to make sure we got what we wanted out of the photographs and to capture our personalities, not cookie cutter wedding photos. Ryan and his team did our engagement shoot, wedding, and wedding video. They were all so personable, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable while getting their picture taken. My husband and I recently got married at Newport Vineyards in Rhode Island. The venue recommended Ryan DeVoll photography to us and we quickly understood why! When we first reached out to Ryan, he set up a call with us and we ended up talking for well over an hour. His passion for photography and his kindness really made us feel like he truly cared about us as a couple and not just clients, so we didn’t even bother reaching out to other photographers. My husband and I were living in Arizona at the time and planning our wedding basically through the computer, so we decided to book Ryan based off our phone call and the incredible pictures he had on his website. We honestly could not have picked anyone better! After moving back to Massachusetts, we got to meet Ryan in person, along with his fiancé Jenn. Ryan and Jenn are so easy to work with – and I hate having my picture taken. The effort they made to get to know us as people made our pictures so much easier! They capitalized on our strengths (my partner’s natural photogenic-ness) and ensured that our pictures weren’t uncomfortable or stiff. They gave us opportunities to laugh and laughed with us and our friends and family throughout our wedding day. I don’t know how they managed it but even our 3 nephews under 5 stayed still to have their photos taken. Wow I cannot recommend Ryan enough! We asked him to photograph our reception at Newport Vineyards and everyone loved him! Not only was he great at communicating from Day 1, he put in a lot of thought and care into what kind of photos we wanted. The wedding planning process is obviously stressful at times, but I never was once stressed about our reception photography because of Ryan's organization well ahead of the date. He took beautiful staged photos and candid photos during the reception that we are absolutely in love with! My husband and I are not the biggest fan of being in photos but our session with Ryan was actually fun and we had such a great time. Absolutely amazing! My husband and I were fortunate enough to work with Ryan and his team (Oksana and Jen) to photograph our wedding this June. It goes without saying that Ryan is an incredible photographer, but beyond this, he is extremely easy to communicate with. Ryan and Jenn are two of the most genuine people you will ever meet! My fiancé and I had an absolute blast today during our engagement photo session in Newport, RI! Ryan was our wedding photographer for our wedding in Sept 2018. Our photos came out beautiful!! Throughout the process he was professional, personable, and was very good about getting back to us right away whenever we had a question. We had a lot of fun during our engagement and wedding photos and he was open to our ideas like flying him out in a Cessna to block island and getting in the ocean to take pics of us. Our wedding photos came out beautiful. We are so happy we chose Ryan Devoll photography. My only regret is that I didn’t book him the additional hour to have him take photos to the end of the wedding night.

Ryan's style is not your typical every-wedding-ever. His talent is on finding the perfect moment, the true smile, that second of magic, the perfect memory. His photos are not just of you and friends posed, his photos are alive and they capture just how truly happy and perfect your day is. The entire experience with him is absolutely incredible. He puts significant effort into getting to know you. It can take calls, and facetime, brunches, and tapas but by the time your wedding rolls in, your not posing for a photographer. Ryan truly cares and works hard to get to know the couple leading up to the big day. We talked on the phone, met in person for coffee, and felt extremely comfortable with him on our big day. Ryan was absolutely amazing! We highly recommend him and his team as a wedding photographer. Ryan was our photographer for our wedding at Newport Vineyards in May 2018 and we couldn't be happier we chose him as our photographer! I could not have asked for a better experience. I contacted Ryan when I was planning a surprise proposal session. He worked with the coordinator at the proposal location and helped me put together the perfect plan. After he captured some candid proposal photographs we had a full-blown engagement session and took tons photos around the vineyard. Ryan was patient, easy to work with, and made us feel comfortable the whole time. Not to mention all of the photos came out great! He even gave us a couple of sneak-peek photos the day of. The first time me and my now husband met with Ryan we talked for a couple of hours and it felt like we were old friends. Ryan’s personality made us feel completely welcomed and comfortable instantly, in fact when we left the meeting I sat in my car for all of five minutes and called him back to tell him “that I loved him and wanted to book him for my wedding.” It was the best decision we made. Ryan came to the hotel to capture pictures of me, the bridesmaids, flower girls and my mother getting ready and made all of us feel comfortable taking pictures and making us laugh, then he made it back to my house to take pictures of my husband and the groomsman and still made it to the venue early enough to give us an incredible first look. This meant a lot to me because I didn’t get to have my outdoor wedding due to rain but thanks to Ryan we got some pretty amazing outdoor pictures. Ryan even went above and beyond to make me feel better when I was a complete mess when the news was broken to me that the storm was moving in fast. Ryan not only told our story but he was able to capture some pretty amazing photos of my friends and family with out them knowing, which is why they came out so great. He was able to show us how much fun they were having and it is so incredible to experience that through my photos. What was so amazing about this is that Ryan was able to do all of this by himself as he was the only photographer at the wedding and his assistant couldn’t make it due to a cold. If you are looking for a photographer that captures moments and not just faces, who really takes the time to get to know you, Ryan is your man. From the moment he was recommended to us, my husband and I were in love with him. He was there through the entire planning process, texting, emailing and talking me off a ledge when I realized there wouldn’t be enough sunlight after the ceremony. He made sure that us and our entire wedding party thought of him as a friend and not a stranger. Every time I look at our photos I’m reminded of how glad I am that we chose Ryan.

What can we say about Ryan...! We came to him at the very, very last minute for our DIY wedding in our family's backyard. We felt like we had won the lottery when he was available, since Ryan came so highly recommended to us from friends who have worked with him before in a professional capacity. Because our wedding was small, he was really the only vendor we worked with. After my husband's first phone call with him, it wasn't really a decision to book with him, it was a no-brainer. Not one of our conversations leading up to the wedding lasted less than an hour and a half, and it never felt like business--it was never forced. Every time we talked to Ryan, we laughed our butts off and had a great time getting to know him. From the very start, Ryan was insistent that we really take the time to get to know each other. It didn't occur to us how important this was before meeting Ryan, but now we are certain that forming a relationship with Ryan and Jenn is part of the reason our photos turned out so beautifully. His service was so customized for our wedding. He knew what our relationship as a couple was like. He knew who was most important to us at the wedding, who to capture in photos. He knew about all the idiosyncrasies of our families, and navigated every situation seamlessly. He knew that we wanted to avoid a lot of the cheesy, posed photos you see from a lot of wedding photographers. He knew that we wanted our wedding to really feel like us, and made sure our photos reflected that. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Ryan was so communicative, responsive, and available by text or email any time. He went above and beyond, checking in with us during times he knew we would be overwhelmed, telling us how genuinely excited he was to come to our party. And this was the feeling we had throughout the whole process--we kept joking that Ryan was our favorite guest! On the day of, Ryan was prompt, keenly aware of every detail, on top of the minute-by-minute schedule, and in the end, he really felt like our day-of coordinator (not that it was his job to be!). All of our guests commented that Ryan was "the best." And we knew exactly what they meant. We were really struck by how unobtrusive his coverage seemed. He at once faded into the background of the party, and yet his photos were incredible, and captured so many nuanced moments. And he somehow also managed to become best friends with so many of our guests! The few photos we've already seen are just spectacular, and we can't wait to see the rest. The documentary-style, candid nature of his photos is exactly what we were looking for. And we also managed to get photos of my husband and I alone together in the woods, in our wedding garb, that are just jaw-dropping, and will hang on our wall forever. And for that reason, we will always, always be so grateful to him and Jenn. In the end, we can't recommend Ryan with more gusto. He was absolutely the best decision we made in our last-minute wedding planning. I know if another special occasion comes our way, Ryan will be the first person who comes to mind. If you're reading this and you are ambivalent, stop fooling yourself. Call Ryan and make the decision you NEED to make in order for your wedding or event to be absolutely magical, and preserved beautifully forever.

Ryan was fantastic! When we first met with him, he was so personable and so easy to talk to that I knew I wasn't going to have any trouble working with him during our wedding. His pictures were also absolutely stunning.! Ryan was great because he really wanted to get to know us before our big day. We met up for dinner with him a few times just to hang out, discuss things, and I think that our relationship with him really helped take the stress out of the day. I personally am so awkward when someone tries to take my picture, so being so comfortable with him the day of really helped me relax. The end result was great! Our pictures came out awesome, and he had them for us so fast! He even sent us a few teasers the morning after the wedding. We got married in mid June, and already had the final gallery by the beginning of August, which is a turnaround time that I really didn't expect. Overall, I would definitely recommend Ryan and his team, they took fantastic photos and they were a such a good time the day of, our whole wedding party loved them as well. Definitely 5 stars material!

From the beginning, Ryan was an amazing choice for both our engagement photos and our wedding photography coverage. He is thorough, attentive, and receptive to your ideas. He operates with the utmost professionalism, and keeps in touch with you on a strict schedule so you are not forgotten. If you're looking for classic formal photography, Ryan is not your guy. If you have any ideas for creative styling, let him know! If anything, I wish I had shared more creative ideas for poses during our wedding day. Ryan will hear you out and run with it. We loved working with him!

The vendor I researched the most and was so cautious to chose wisely was hands down our photographer. After all, the photographs are what will last forever and truly capture our memories and moments of the day. We knew that we had to pick right. And boy, did we pick RIGHT! We could not have chosen a better photographer than Ryan. From the first consultation to the last hug goodbye he had us smiling and knowing we were in good hands. It was important to my husband and me to find someone we connected with and felt comfortable with since we would be spending many, many hours together. What first drew us to Ryan was his "fly on the wall" style and gorgeous photos. What booked us with Ryan was his kindness, genuine desire to get to know us, and the confidence/radiance he exudes. Ryan felt like a friend from the moment we met, and now is one that we cannot wait to see again! If you are looking for traditional, stuffy, same photos and poses your mom took, this is not his style. If you want someone who will bring out the best of you and your spouse and create the most stunning candid and genuine moments of your most important day, this IS his style. Ryan had our wedding party and wedding guests laughing, smiling, and feeling completely comfortable. He was assertive when needed to help make the day run smoothly. We just loved, loved, loved Ryan and his whole team. You will too! Book him!

Ryan did an absolute WONDERFUL job on our pictures! Instead of a big wedding, we had an elopement with only three guests so it was important to have a photographer that felt like having another friend there- and that is exactly what Ryan was! We are not from Rhode Island and Ryan went out of his way to help us plan our wedding ceremony and even our post-ceremony celebration. We can't thank him enough for helping make the day that much better and giving us amazing pictures that we will treasure!!

Ryan was recommended to us by a friend we were so grateful for that. Within seconds of meeting Ryan you get a positive energetic vibe and you can tell how compassionate he is about his work. Ryan was amazing from the beginning of the process until the end. His pictures were amazing and he captured everybody in every moment of our wedding day without of even knowing he was there. When he tells you he is like a fly on the wall, he is in kidding. His communication with us leading up to the wedding day and after was right on point. We were never left questioning. Ryan was already personable professional fun and easy going. He definitely did a great job getting to know is in allowing us to get to know him which made things much more comfortable and less stressful. If you think about it you are spending 6 to 8 hours with your photographer so its better to build a relationship and feel comfortable. We highly recommend Ryan and his team.

One word of advice for your wedding is find a photographer you enjoy being around…because they are with you all day. I not only enjoyed Ryan and his team, but I loved them. On a day where emotions are running high, they knew exactly how to take control and pose us. They can really read people and made sure Tyler and I were happy, comfortable, fed, and liquored up. My mom has some pushy friends who want pictures, and I can’t thank him enough for telling them to wait until after his pictures were done (or we would still be there til this day). Ryan is a joy to work with and he always has a smile on his face. More than anything I loved that he checked in with Tyler and I right up to the day and he was always accessible.

I could not have imagined another photographer to have at my wedding. Ryan and his team are amazing and throughout the entire wedding process was there for my husband and I. He is so personable and makes the moments so special. Ryan has such a beautiful soul and was very prepared for everything!!

Where do I begin!? When I met Ryan at a friends wedding I was not even engaged but knew that I wanted to hire him and when the time came, I did! The beauty and perfection in all of his pictures is undeniable! Ryan was so personable, confident and upbeat that my husband and I did not question our decision once! He was so helpful and patient with us throughout the whole process. When we realized it was going to be raining all day on our outdoor planned wedding we had to make a lot of changes. Ryan was right there with suggestions and helpful tips calming me down and letting us know that it was all going to be ok and while still making sure he still got us the shots that we had wanted. Him and Jen were so fun and easy to get along with the whole night and that statement was confirmed by so many guests! We could not be happy with our choice to hire Ryan and know that our relationship will not end here!

Ryan was a phenomenal photographer-- professional, personable, and responsive. From the early planning stages, to the day of our wedding, Ryan grew from a name on The Knot into someone we consider a friend. He is talented and has a fantastic eye for detail, which was SO important to us. Ryan shot incredible, documentary-style photographs (our favorite), and also has the capability to shoot formal, styled photos. He is also incredibly easy to get along with and personable, taking the time to get to know us, our wedding party, and our guests..which made for even more amazing photographs. Despite not meeting Ryan before wedding day, I felt as if I knew him when he walked in that morning. His energy and warm personality truly made a difference in capturing all of our moments that day and settling some nerves! He seemed genuinely excited to be part of our day, and that was so meaningful. He was easy to work with, understood the shots we wanted and our inspiration and made it happen. Ryan was our photographer for our wedding on August 6, 2016 and he truly blew us away. Not only is Ryan a fantastic photographer but a wonderful person. Ryan is simply the best! To research a photographer for our wedding we did an Instagram hashtag search (#riweddings) and out of the hundreds of photos that came up by far our favorites were Ryan's. He is incredibly talented! Ryan took the time to really get to know us before the big day so when the wedding arrived it wasn't just a photographer capturing our big day it was also a true friend. Ryan is incredibly responsive and we even had all of our photos back just a month after the wedding which in wedding photographer world is insanely quick. We can't say enough great things about him!

It's amazing to me that a poor review that I had written 3+ months ago would continually get deleted from this site. I will continue to repost this until the end of time to reiterate the underhanded methods that Ryan use to acquire customers. Back in Mar 2016 we met Ryan at his apartment complex to discuss his skill set and what he could provide myself and my fiancee. Within less than 72 hours Ryan had handed our date to some one else. He actually did it the day after but did notify us until 3 days after. Since we were first on the scene did he give us a first right of refusal, the answer is no. Don't be fooled by Ryan's charm. He is young (25) and inexperiencd business-wise and would prefer to make a money grab rather than satisfy a customer. Some would say this is sour-grapes because we didn't pull the trigger fast enough however when we presented this exact scenario to other photographers they said they would not have handled it from a customer service aspect in this manner. Please beware of the charming smile and faux claim to have your best interests in mine. If you don't sign on the dotted line immediately to line his pockets (since he only does 25 wedding / year) you are probably SOL

In a word, Ryan was amazing. His pictures came out beautifully, and captured the emotion, love, and fun of our wedding. Ryan was also very organized and spoke with us beforehand to ensure that we had a clear plan to capture the photos we wanted. He was also a pleasure to work with - friendly, personable, and flexible while being a professional. So many of our guests remarked to my husband and me what a great job Ryan did (even before they saw the photos!). My husband and I are so glad Ryan was a part of our wedding day, and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone!

Where do I start! Ryan is truly amazing! We may have started out by picking him for his incredible talent for photography,but we got way more! Ryan truly cares for you and your day! We met multiple times throughout the year. He was extremely helpful! Ryan answered all of my questions and even calmed my bridal nerves!lol The day finally came!
