DO NOT hire Ryan Films Weddings or Sugar Rush Films, their sister company, which we will also be leaving a review for. We were married in April, and it is now almost September. De...

spite promises of a teaser and updates, we have received absolutely no communication from Ryan or his team. Nothing. We still do not have the footage from one of the most important and meaningful days of our lives. At this point, I am extremely frustrated that we have had to repeatedly track someone down simply to get a response about a service we already paid for. This is completely unacceptable and, frankly, incredibly disappointing and highly unprofessional. We hired a professional wedding videographer because we trusted them to preserve memories we can never recreate. Instead, months later, we are left with n o t h i n g. I will be making sure our experience is known to our wedding vendors, vendors in the area they "serve" and to other couples considering Ryan Films Weddings or Sugar Rush Films. Couples deserve to know exactly what kind of communication and service they may receive before trusting a company with something as important as their wedding memories.

k. Don't use this guy. He's the only one who has any video of our wedding which is probably lost forever. Why do this to couples who paid thousands of dollars to have him capture the day only to be ghosted.

rd anything since we had Ryan and his team. They have the only copy of our ceremony and we're worried we'll have lost the footage forever. I don't need a completed video, but all my wife and I are looking for is the raw footage. I'm really hopeful that he can share the raw footage, as it's a unique memory we can never get back otherwise.

My wedding was back in March of 2025. I have not received my wedding video. I have also sent numerous emails, text messages and phone calls and all have been met with silence. I am...

at a loss, and am seeking legal remedies to just get that I paid for. I trusted Ryan with something that was supposed to capture the happiest moments of my life, that cost tens of thousands of dollars and with the people I love. Do not hire him! My heart goes out to the couples that have been wronged by him just like me. He has turned this memory of a day into a nightmare because we won't be able to show our kids our parents anyone we love the joy of our wedding day and the festivities after the ceremony. And I don't know why because no one will respond to anything.

or a teaser and highlight video. We received the teaser and were very pleased with it. Based on the quality of that work, we then paid for an additional cinematic video so we could more fully relive our wedding day. However, the highlight video and full cinematic video have still not been delivered—now over one year later. We were informed of a personal emergency via a third party and responded with patience and understanding. Over the following months, we made several attempts to follow up but received no response. After continued non-delivery, we requested the raw footage as an alternative. In February, a team member, Madi, confirmed the footage had been shipped and provided a tracking number; however, the label was created and the package was never sent. We have not received any updates since, despite repeated follow-ups. These videos are incredibly important to us and contain irreplaceable memories, including moments with loved ones who are no longer with us. We trusted Ryan Films to capture our wedding day and asked guests not to record, believing those memories would be preserved through their work. We entered into this agreement in good faith, and while the teaser we received was beautiful, the lack of delivery and communication since has been extremely disappointing. We hope this matter is resolved, but if not, we are prepared to pursue further action, including legal remedies.

I am writing this to warn other couples. I hired Ryan Films for my wedding on April 12, 2025. I fulfilled my end of the contract entirely, paying the full $5,000.00 by April 8, 202...

5. As of February 2026—ten months after my wedding—I have received absolutely nothing. No 1-minute teaser (due 2 weeks after the wedding) and no 8-10 minute Cinematic Short Movie (due 3-4 months after the wedding). I have made over seven attempts to contact Ryan via email, text, and phone calls, all of which have gone ignored. To make matters worse, he has recently deactivated his Instagram and Facebook pages, leaving me and many other couples with no way to see our wedding memories. If you are a current client, please be aware that there is a pattern of ghosting occurring. If you are considering hiring him, do not. I am currently in the process of taking legal action to recover my $3,500 for the undelivered films and to secure my raw footage. Ryan, if you see this, I am simply asking for the footage I paid for and a partial refund

Do not hire Ryan, ever! The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We got married in October 2024 and still don't have our wedding video over 1 year later. Ryan and his ...

team have now have an email that is bouncing emails back as undeliverable and are not responding to calls, texts, or emails. We paid over $4,000 for this and now will likely have to take him to court to get a refund and/or get our wedding video. This is criminal (literally since he is stealing our money) to do to someone for their wedding video! Ryan has been incredible unprofessional through the process. He showed up 30 minutes late and missed some key shots. The issues continued after our wedding day. He informed us that he was dealing with some personal issues that would delay our video a bit. After missing the deadline of our video being delivered, which was 6 months after our wedding date, we had to reach out repeatedly to get a response. We probably emails/called 5-10 times before getting a response over a month later. Eventually, someone from Ryan's family stepped in and told us they would handle a partial refund and had hired someone else to edit the video. Of course, this was hugely disappointing, as we chose Ryan mostly due to his shooting and editing style. We were promised a partial refund and that our video would be delivered soon. This was back in October 2025. All we have received since were a few emails. We still don't have a final video, the refund we were promised, and have no way to contact anyone, as Ryan and his team are ignoring repeated calls, texts, and emails. The next steps will be joining many other recent clients and taking him to court. Oh joy. Never thought I'd have to sue someone for my wedding video. Whatever you do, don't hire Ryan. Go literally anywhere else.

We are along with a group of other couples who have been ghosted by Ryan Unfortunately we don’t even have a teaser let alone the full edit we paid for

Due to our frustrating and honestly disappointing experience with Ryan and Ryan Films Weddings, I cannot recommend him to other brides and would actually caution against it due to ...

him not upholding our contract and for his complete lack of communication, especially after our wedding. Our wedding was March 29, 2025 and at the date of writing this review (September 16, 2925), we have still not received the final edit of our wedding video, which we paid for expedited delivery for (should have been delivered 3 weeks after the wedding date per our contract). To make matters worse— Ryan and his team have not responded to any of our emails, calls, or texts (and there have been several) that we’ve sent over the past several months. Getting ghosted by your videographer, who is the only one who has all of the footage from a day that you literally cannot recreate, is heartbreaking, and I wouldn’t wish this on any bride. I’ve pleaded via email and text, just asking for ANY updated timeline, and have been completely ignored. Ryan, if you are reading this, please contact me. You can still make this right.

pany. He did an absolutely incredible job capturing many of the wonderful moments of our special day. Fast forward to today; our ten year anniversary is coming up in just one week, and I realized we had somehow lost the video file to our wedding videos. Well I reached out on Facebook, and within a short time Ryan replied back, and after all these years he provided us with the ENTIRE highlight video of out wedding. Ten years later and we are still being blessed by this man in his professionalism, dedication to hard work, and personal care towards his customers. I couldn't be more thankful to God for Ryan and his help in remembrance of our wedding day. If you are in need of a good videographer for your wedding, PLEASE make Ryan Film's Weddings your choice!!

te never having worked with our photographers, Ryan and Zack seamlessly integrated into our day, effortlessly maintaining an upbeat and fun atmosphere throughout. Despite the inevitable tension and stress of such an important occasion, they managed to keep the mood light and personable, making it feel as though they weren't even there. Both Ryan and Zack exuded professionalism from start to finish, while also bringing a genuine warmth and friendliness that put us at ease. Their ability to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera was truly remarkable, turning what could have been awkward moments into candid and upbeat memories that we will cherish forever. Although we have not received the final product yet, we are beyond thrilled with our trailer and cannot wait to see the final cut. Their skill in capturing the essence of our love story was evident in the trailer, and we have no doubt that the final product will exceed our expectations. We cannot recommend Ryan and Zack highly enough to any couple looking for talented, personable, and professional wedding videographers. Thank you both for everything!

He has such a bright positive personality that truly just adds so much light to your special day! He made me and my now husband feel special and just truly helped us get the best possible shots! He also helped our photographer in so many ways and truly he is the greatest!!! Make sure to request him because he is the best!🤩 to Zac we truly can’t thank you enough for creating such a happy, festive, and beautiful wedding experience! Were sad we didn’t get a picture with you in it because you deserve to be in our photos albums!! 1,000/10

After we secured our wedding date and venue, Ryan Films was the very first vendor that we secured and it was the BEST decision we made in the wedding planning process! After seeing...

their awesome videos on Instagram, we knew we needed to have them film our wedding. Beyond having amazing reviews that highlighted Ryan’s great communication and super professional team, we really liked how Ryan used innovative techniques like flying a drone over the ceremony site to capture a different perspective. When we reached out to Ryan, we got an immediate response and a list of his pricing. Ryan let us know that he worked a lot at our venue, Green Gables Wedding Estate, and knew the staff and how they operated really well. This was awesome news for us since it meant less to coordinate on our end! It was super easy to find the best video package for us and there were even video extras like a “best wishes video” from our guests which was a fun addition. Throughout the process, Ryan’s communication was superb and helped keep us on track. A few weeks before the wedding, Ryan sent us a reminder email with items he needed from us for the big day so we didn’t overlook anything. On the day of, Ryan and Zack (his second shooter) were super personable and friendly which made the video experience fun and not awkward like you might assume it would be. Even though it was the first time they worked with our photography team, they did a great job of looking for opportunities to get video while we were posed for photos so we didn’t have to duplicate poses. We both felt like rockstars with the prompts they gave us and are so excited to see the final video. We would definitely recommend anyone looking for an awesome videographer to use Ryan. The main regret we hear from other married couples is that they did not get a videographer for their wedding day. DON’T BE THAT COUPLE! Look no further and go with Ryan and his team and I promise you will not be disappointed. They are so fun and easy to work with and I am so glad that we went with them. Thank you so much, Ryan and Zack, you guys are the best!!

ings previously in the last couple years and when starting to do the vendor research, it was a no brainer to go with Ryan's company too. Although we ended up deciding on the package that works with his associates, the quality is still top tier and reflective of the company that Ryan has built up. Communication with Ryan was super easy, payment/contract details also seamless and easy on his website. Alec and Faisal (the associates) worked really well with our photographers for the day. Although our photographers took the main lead in where the location of the shots were going to be, Alec and Faisal worked with it and added their own directions for shots. I cannot stress how much I value having an amazing team for videographers and photographers at our wedding because it flew by so fast, I hardly remember everything that happened. Knowing I'll be able to relive it through these videos gives me so much happiness and relief. We're loving the sneak peak so far and we're so excited to see the full video!

ceremonies and a reception) but Zack was a trooper and was so kind, easygoing, and fun to hang out with. He worked seamlessly with our photographer to make sure we didn't have to miss more of our reception/cocktail hour than we wanted to. When we got our sneak peek 1 minute teaser video back, I cried. Zack captured so many amazing moments from different aspects of our day and wove them together so beautifully to create perfect retelling of our day in just one minute. We cannot wait to see the final product. If you're looking for a video team, we cannot recommend RyanFilms enough. Not only is their work incredible, but we had the best time hanging out with them all day.

d with. Late in the game, we found Ryan and Sugar Rush Films and immediately knew we absolutely needed to have him at our wedding. His communication leading up to our wedding was exceptional and as a bride who is a self-described “over planner,” it was so reassuring to have him asking all the “right” questions and for all the small important details ahead of the big day. From the second he walked into the bridal suite, and throughout the entire day, he brought a level of excitement and genuine warmth that made us feel comfortable and at ease. After seeing his previous work we knew that our film would be fabulous, but nothing could have prepared us for the film that he delivered; we laughed, we cried and we reminisced at every clip. He perfectly combined the Vegas debauchery with the classic sentimental moments and it couldn’t have embodied our wedding day any better. We are so thankful that we found Ryan and Sugar Rush Films, and as a couple who initially nearly passed on booking wedding videography, it was the one of the very best investments we made. Thank you Ryan for bringing life to the moments from our big day that we can cherish and relive for a lifetime!

and had such a wonderful eye when capturing our 3 day wedding celebration. They made us feel comfortable and in the best way possible, blended into the background to work their magic. We loved our teaser video but were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by our cinematic highlight reel! Ryan and his team did a phenomenal job of threading love and humor throughout the video to tie all of our events together. Not only did they capture the big moments, but they also captured all the small in-between moments and edited them together so perfectly. I think we've watched the video at least 20 times and fall in love with it even more each time. Your photos and videos are really the only things you get to "keep" after the wedding is done so who you choose to capture the day for you is super important. Do not hesitate another second - book Ryan and his team NOW, I promise it will be the BEST decision you make!!!

On the wedding day, of course you have so many nerves and everything starts moving fast. They were so helpful and stealth, capturing all of the moments that are flying by in emotions. Now having our videos, we are so grateful to be able to relive this magical day. And not to mention how amazing the edit and the songs they chose just by the vibes they got from our ceremony/reception playlist. We are so, very happy with all of their hard work and we are forever grateful! I am telling all of my newly engaged friends that, if your budget allows, it is a MUST to get a videographer -- and if they are in Southern CA you have to hire Ryan Films! So, if you are on the fence or looking for a videographer, look no further and book Ryan Films. You will be so happy that you did!

Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting the other staff members, if they are anything like Zack, Brenda, and Kris, you are in fantastic hands. We cannot thank them enough for giving us a visual memory that will last a lifetime. If you are in San Diego and need a videographer, Ryan Films should be at the very front of your list.

im that made us feel so comfortable throughout the day. My husband and I were very specific in the style we wanted for the video and Ryan was amazing at taking our vision and allowing us to share exactly what we wanted and feedback to make sure it was perfect! From the beginning, he told us he wanted this video to be what we wanted and for us to love it forever. We can tell by the effort that he put in that he meant it and we are so appreciative of that! We can’t thank Ryan and his team enough. Our wedding wouldn’t be the same without him!

otch. Ryan is professional, responsive to requests and ideas, and so easy going that you feel a friend is being there for your special day. We even got a special surprise that our teaser video was emailed to us less than 2 days after the wedding! Waiting for our documentary length wedding video was long, but worth it. It felt like our wedding was yesterday and moved us to tears once again! I still watch our wedding videos from time to time and it never gets old.
