Ryan was courteous and professional during our entire interactions. Highly recommend working with him
I loved working with Ryan! He's a great communicator and very organized. I love the questionnaires and online tip sheets he provided prior to our engagement session and wedding day. Also just super down to earth, easy to talk to, and comfortable to be around. For our engagement shoot, he looked over outfit choices I sent him which I appreciated. We aren't the most fashionable or photogenic people. He was wonderful with out dog, who was a very active part of our shoot. The photos turned out great and his online portal made it easy to share, download, and order prints. On the wedding day he was calm and fun, which is what I needed. After our portrait photos, he totally blended in as a guest but was also easy to snag when we wanted him to capture random moments (like cutting the train off my dress). It will still be a few weeks before we get our wedding photos, but I'm totally confident they will be perfect.
Ryan was a delight to work with! I had seen his work years ago from a friends wedding and knew that I wanted him as our photographer. He did not disappoint! Ryan is a true artist, he met with us to understand our vision, then showed up early at our venue to scope out good photo spots. He has an amazing ability to bring in the beauty of the PNW as a backdrop for all of his shots. During our wedding, Ryan was discreet, never in the way of any of our guests, but omnipresent. His style is candid, and it is truly incredible how much emotion and joy is captured in each shot. I highly recommend using Ryan for your wedding!
Ryan’s work is amazing! I discovered his images in the Seattle Bride Magazine and knew I had to hire him for our wedding. We did an engagement session on the hottest day of the summer and he made the whole process fun and engaging. He takes the time to get to know his clients and listens to your vision. Our wedding day was magical and he was so great to work with the whole day. Very professional, but also down to earth and you feel comfortable with him instantly. Ryan will definitely be our lifetime family photographer!
Had Ryan do a last minute night time elopement photos in Pioneer Square. He a very nice guy and was a pleasure to work with but at the end of the day, at least for me, what matters most is the quality of the photos. The quality I would give 1 star. Basic photography 101 like framing the subjects correctly was a complete miss. 1. A lot of our photos were off center 2. Our feet was cut off in some photos 3. The framing was just off for most photos 4. ZERO direction given on how and where to stand. Again, nice guy but poor quality work.
Where to begin with Ryan! His photos alone speak immensely to his talents and he truly has a unique and eye-catching style that makes his wedding photos one-of--a-kind. Ryan is also a great human to be around - he really looked out for us on the big day and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves all while capturing the important moments. He also captured our engagement photos and we never fail to have a good time with him!
I can't recommend Ryan Flynn enough!
I absolutely loved my experience with Ryan. My now-husband and I had a courthouse wedding and wanted something more intimate. Ryan had a perfect package for us, and was extremely communicative throughout the entire process. Ryan was very accommodating with our needs and made us both feel extremely comfortable. It was also a lot of fun and we enjoyed having Ryan be there during our day! Both of our families loved Ryan and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. He is absolutely fantastic!!!
Ryan far exceeded our expectations. Initially, he was scheduled to be out of town on the day of our wedding and I was super bummed because I had my heart set on using him. My husband and I scoured the internet for another photographer, and while we did find some that would work, it was hard for me to get excited about them because nothing compared to Ryan's style. I was surprised to receive an email from him saying that we may be able to make the date of our wedding work, and we ended up being able to use him. We were so excited!
The day of our wedding couldn't have gone smoother, and Ryan played a big part in that. He was an "invisible photographer" most of the time, not trying to pose us or make us do anything unnatural. At the same time, he was very laid back like my husband and I, and we had a blast hanging out with him.
If you want someone who is going to pose you in all of the typical wedding photos the entire time and make you stand still and awkward for far too long, Ryan is not your guy. If you're looking for someone that will just follow you around and nudge you into the best lighting here and there, he's your guy. His portfolio speaks for the quality of his work, but I can tell you that what you don't see in the photos is an all around cool and fun person to work with.
Also, he promised the pictures within 8-10 weeks, and we received them in 7! Under promising and over delivering (much better than the alternative)! Great job.
I doubt that words can express the full spectrum of gratitude we feel for having met Ryan, but we'll give it a shot.
From the beginning, Ryan made one thing crystal clear – that it was all about us and our story. Ryan took immense pride in getting to know us as a couple, and did everything in his power to make us feel comfortable.
There was a natural forging of trust that took place between the three of us – one that doesn't come with every photographer. I'm so glad we did engagement photos, as this served as a sort of "practice" for the three of us. The engagement photos were stunning, and the few bits of feedback we gave were happily received by Ryan. By the time the wedding day came, it was as if an old friend just happened to be taking photos while we hung out.
We feel so fortunate to have found Ryan. This incredibly transformational time in our lives has been documented in way we couldn't have imagined; heartfelt, authentic, and timeless.
From the bottom of our hearts – thank you, Ryan.
xx Jodi & Jonny
Ryan was great to work with. He was all over during the reception, but I rarely saw him. I loved how quietly he moved through the ceremony as well (once again, I didn't notice him!).
Ryan's photos are beautiful, stylistic, and not cheesy prom-looking photos. I would hire him for any event I could...maybe even future children if he was interested!
I was super excited to book Ryan for my wedding. He had photographed weddings at my venue before and his images were amazing. I booked him 1 YEAR in advance to make sure we had him. He was responsive to my emails early on. We were even pleased with our engagement session. The problems came in the last few weeks before our wedding. I hadn't heard from Ryan and it took him at least a few days to return any of my emails - not a good sign for a stressed out bride so close to her wedding day. He said he would email me a list of "must have shots," which I was relying on, but never got. THEN 2 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING, RYAN CALLED ME TO TELL ME HE DOUBLE BOOKED. Seriously. The only good thing that came from this situation was that Ryan found 2 photographers to replace him, Jeramie Shoda and Carly Bishop, and they turned out to be amazing. For his mistake, Ryan offered to give them my deposit and pay them out of his pocket for the rest of their services. Ryan was slow to give my deposit to them and he actually never paid them anything additional out of his own pocket. I know because I asked them. Ryan delivers great photos, but the stress he caused me in the days before my wedding and even afterward was definitely not worth it.
