d a meeting with us to get a feel for the type of event we were going for. Walking through the vision over lunch about a month before the event, we figured out a basic timeline and a list of shots with family, friends, and the wedding party we knew we wanted. Leading up to the week of the event, we nailed down the schedule, confirmed the desired shots and lighting setup, and he squared things away with our day-of coordinator Natasha. Ryan arrived early Saturday and spent the whole day shooting events as the day developed. He joked around with and laughed with bridesmaids, picked a great location for groomsmen photos near the venue that he scouted out earlier in the week, and flawlessly executed a plan B for post-ceremony bridal party pictures after it had rained prior killing the original plan. Dual wielding two Canon’s, he was like the John Wick of wedding photography. Calm, super efficient, and fun, there were several times were either Kell, a family member / guest, or I asked him if was going to get a particular shot and he had already done so. Having seen a preview of the the photos less than a week after the event, we’re sure the final shots will turn out great. Most importantly, however, the photos are beyond gorgeous. I knew I wanted to work with him the instant I saw his previous pictures and I was not disappointed in the least. Ryan. My husband did a lot of research on photographers in western Pennsylvania and conducted google searches based on the photos, not on the business name. Ryan's photos kept popping up and they looked exactly how we imagined our wedding photos to appear. We found Ryan's website and it also was amazing. He was very thorough and sincere in what he hopes to capture with his photos. His website is one of the big reasons we wanted to work with him. He had a short video of himself explaining his work and the types of people and environments he likes to work with. Although he travels all over the country to shoot wedding photos, he works out of the Butler area and has a prominent role in Pittsburgh. We reached out to him, found that he was available, and realized that we were going to be working with an incredible guy who really is an amazing artist. Ryan offers multiple packages and the one we chose included engagement photos, a personalized wedding website, and wedding day photos. Ryan takes all of the pictures and grants immediate access directly to you without any watermarks, obligations to order prints off of him, etc. You pay for the photos and you get them. Something that our guests really loved about the wedding was the website that Ryan created for us. He has samples on his own company website, but he really set it up how we asked, and if there were tweaks, he updated the site for us whenever we needed it. It was nice to have a website made just for us where all of our photos would be accessible for our guests. On top of the amazing website, we also received wonderful photos from both our engagement shoot and our wedding day. Ryan really took the time to get to know my husband and I and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process. Ryan's fiancee, Abbey, is is second shooter and she is equally wonderful. They work great together and really helped us enjoy those times. Leading up to the wedding, Ryan was very professional and timely with checking in about what photos we hoped to get on the wedding day and details for where he and Abbey needed to be and when. They were prompt, professional, and fit in great with our friends and family. Many weddings I have been to have photographers that either look way too casual for the event, or dress all in black and stand out at all times. Ryan and Abbey dressed like wedding guests and interacted with the people at our wedding. By the time the wedding day came, my husband and I had developed such a friendship with both of them that we still keep in touch months later. Ryan and Abbey were able to make anyone and everyone look great, and they utilized the spaces of every location to their advantage. We didn't want to miss much of our cocktail hour, so Ryan took us to spots closeby our reception and helped create scenery that we would normally take for granted. Our friends and family have been raving over his photos and we could not be more thrilled with how they turned out. His turnaround time is very quick and he constantly made us feel like we were in good hands. I could go on and on, but bottom line: Thank you Ryan and Abbey-- you two are rockstars!

ing season. From start to finish Ryan was amazing. We were wedding planning from CA so email responsiveness was super important to me. Ryan was so prompt with all his communications and we talked a few times on the phone as well to make sure we had all the details ironed out. He answered all my questions and offered suggestions and his own thoughts based on what I was thinking. I appreciated his feedback on where to take pictures as he was the photography expert, not me! When the wedding day finally arrived, Ryan was on time and even was wearing a bow tie! He was darling. He jumped right in taking pictures of the girls getting their hair and makeup done and bounced between us and the guys all morning. One of my favorite things about Ryan was that he was willing to be where ever he needed to be to get a great shot. I saw him peaking out from behind our backdrop during our ceremony and standing in what I thought was the strangest of places of times. lol. But when I saw the pictures I totally understood why and I was AMAZED. We had to alter our plan for pictures after the ceremony because of how cold it was and Ryan managed to find us some great locations on the fly and the shots were incredible. I never thought that shots basically standing in the middle of an abandoned street could turn out so beautiful. What he did with the lighting and sunset behind us in those shots was honestly breathtaking. He knew the type of feel we wanted for our pictures and he more than delivered. I cannot say enough great things about Ryan or his talent. I wish I could some how add pictures to my post so people could see his amazing work but I don't think I'm able to. and someone you could easily be friends with! Ryan is incredibly relaxed, easy going and friendly, and makes you feel very comfortable in what can be an unfamiliar setting. My fiance and I had never had professional photos taken, so we decided to schedule an engagement shoot so we could spend time with Ryan and make sure we were ok in front of the camera. My fiance immediately liked Ryan as well and was way more comfortable getting his picture taken than he thought he would be. My fiance and I immediately felt like we had known Ryan and his girlfriend for far longer than just one day - we ended up grabbing beers after the shoot! We loved our engagement pictures and were then even more excited for our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, Ryan made everyone feel so comfortable that a lot of my bridesmaids thought he was a friend of my fiance's! Ryan was with us for the whole day (which was quite long) and he was always patient, helpful, and happy and he managed to capture so many amazing moments - even navigating some uncooperative weather! He is professional, responsive and thoughtful, and his pictures seem to capture the important and candid moments perfectly. Highly recommended!!

r what he does. Ryan is an artist, and an incredible one at that. His ability to capture emotion, love, light and beauty in one photograph is unmatched by any other photographer I’ve seen. Not to mention Ryan is just an overall great guy with an infectious personality and a great sense of humor. So you won’t be surprised when you find yourself wanting to hang out with him after your wedding is over. When we started the process of searching for the perfect wedding photographer, we didn’t exactly know what to look for. Ryan wasn’t the first photographer we met with, but he certainly was the last. He put everything out on the table during that first meeting. He told us about him and his photography style and approach. He showed us his work, went over packages, options etc…I really appreciated the questions he asked us and the time he took to get to know my fiancé and me. It’s not just small talk to Ryan, his photographs really represent the style and nature of the couple he is shooting. That being said, there was no question after our first meeting that Ryan was the one for us. Our engagement shoot was the next time we saw Ryan. You can’t help but feel natural and comfortable in his presence. I couldn’t believe that we got two looks and two locations done in one hour! Talk about efficiency, not even two days later Ryan had the preview for our engagement shoot up on his blog and….oh my goodness. These pictures could have come straight out of a magazine. In fact, one of our favorite pictures from that day was so good; the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette featured it on the front page of the Lifestyle section and on the home page of their website. Ryan made sure to check in with me multiple times before the wedding day. He wanted to make sure that we were okay and that he was on top of his game. For the organized bride, his preparedness and responsiveness was always appreciated. He gave us suggestions on our timeline, helped us orchestrate our first look, and two days before the wedding when I called Ryan frantic that the forecast was calling for a chance of thunderstorms, he already had a backup plan. Fortunately, to my delight, the sun was shining that Saturday. My fiancé and I had been going back and forth deciding whether or not to have Ryan bring a second shooter that day. We ended up having just Ryan there and you would have thought there were three. To Ryan, it’s all about telling a story, your love story, your wedding story, and our wedding was no exception. The pictures are even more amazing than I had imagined they would be. They are unique, intimate and beautiful. Ryan captured everything I wanted and everything I didn’t know I wanted but I’m so glad that I now have. But most importantly, Ryan captured the love in my eyes when I saw my fiancé for the first time, he captured the tears in my Dad’s eyes when he gave his speech, he singlehandedly captured the essence of the entire day. It’s just incredible. I have no doubt in my mind that Ryan is the next big thing in wedding photography and I feel honored that he was a part of our day.

He was extremely friendly, took whatever pictures I asked of him, and got some amazing shots. Photography was one of the things my husband and I splurged on and I am so glad we did. Photos were very important to my husband and I, and we worked with our wedding planner (Shayne Souleret of Soiree by Souleret - who is wonderful also, by the way) to find the perfect one for us. I didn't think I could get what we wanted within our budget, but Ryan is so modest about his gift and the work he produces, that he was exactly what we were looking for. He works so hard to make you comfortable, and get to know you as a couple, he really felt like just another friend at our wedding. You think it would be awkward to have a man running around you while you and your best girlfriends are doing you make-up and goofing around, but he just blended right in. I should also mention that he is an absolute delight to work with - professional, great attitude, and so so so so sooo accommodating to whatever you need. When I look at the photos he got for us, he captured all the little moments I remember most. When I look at the tremendous photo he has of my father when he handed me to my husband, the look he captured in my father's face transports me back. He has so many amazing photos of little glances between me and my husband, my bridesmaids - I'm amazed he and his assistant could be so many places at one time. As you look through the moments he captured, they are so authentic and not staged, that its like living it all over again and feeling the love that was there all around us on that day. It really is photojournalism at it's finest, not to mention to the beautiful touch he gives to all of his work. I am so glad that Ryan got into the photography business. When my husband and I fight, or when times get bad, the memories he saved for us will be a constant place we can turn that captures the many blessings of that day and all the family, friends and love that we have to be grateful for.

shooting even after we had stopped posing and I am so glad, because those are some of my favorite pictures from the day. On top of his amazing camera work he is also really great to work with. He got us our pictures quickly, and was really great to correspond with, always getting back to me promptly. If you want amazing photographs that catch you looking happy and in your element, I would definitely recommend Ryan!

hree weeks before the wedding, we were a little nervous. He recommended Ryan as a possible alternative. I fell in love with Ryan’s website immediately; his wedding/engagement pictures, his own travel pictures, and his philosophy on life. By luck (or fate), he was available the weekend of our wedding, and he more than delivered all that was expected, in person. Ryan was perfect for our wedding. My husband and I are very laid-back people, and Ryan was completely thorough without being overbearing. He captured the essence of the day, so well. He was willing to go along with any ideas that popped into my head, e.g. our sunset shots after an overcast day all day, just to prove that the sun DID shine on my wedding day. Once the reception started, I didn’t notice him for the rest of the night, but apparently he was all over the place, because he got such great shots! After the wedding, he had a preview of shots on the web ready to look at in a week! (Not to mention his astoundingly insightful writing style that described my husband and I and our day! I felt so special reading the words combined with our pictures.) Then all of the pictures were ready within in the month. I’ve heard some brides complain about not getting their pictures back for two months, sometimes longer. I could not identify with any of these women because Ryan was completely professional, from start to finish. He rose to the occasion, accepting our request so close to game day. He did so much more than just take pictures. He was super fun to work with. And I’ll say it again, he captured the essence of the day. I couldn’t be happier with the way it all turned out. I’m pretty sure it was a little bit of fate, and that Ryan was our photographer all along ☺
