One of Sabrina's earliest memories is of her mother with a camera in hand. She saw how photography brought people together, formed a connection, and told a story, and she realized from a young age that this is what she wanted to do for a living. Sabrina founded Sabrina Maia Photography, moved to Oahu in 2012, and fell even more in love with her job as she captured the beauty of Hawaiian weddings and met people from all over the world.

Aloha! I'm Sabrina, a wedding and elopement photographer based on Oahu, Hawaii. 🌺
Photography has been part of my life since I was a little girl, growing up around my mother's photography. What started as a childhood connection grew into a passion for capturing people, their stories, and the moments that make life meaningful.
Originally from Brazil, I moved to Hawaii in 2012, and my love for exploring the world has only grown since then. In 2022, I traveled solo with my camera and backpack, photographing people across 13 countries. That experience reminded me how powerful human connection can be, even when we come from completely different backgrounds.
Today, I bring that same curiosity and appreciation for people into every wedding I photograph. I love the happy tears, the unexpected laughter, the quiet moments between two people, and all the little things that might go unnoticed in the excitement of the day.
My approach is a mix of candid storytelling and gentle direction. You don't need to know how to pose or feel perfectly comfortable in front of a camera. I'll guide you when you need it and give you space to simply enjoy each other when you don't.
Outside of photography, you'll often find me exploring Hawaii's beautiful landscapes, spending time outdoors, or planning my next adventure. I speak English, Portuguese, and intermediate Spanish, and I love connecting with couples from different cultures and walks of life.
More than anything, I want every couple I work with to feel welcomed, respected, and free to be themselves. Your wedding is about your relationship, your people, and your story, and I'd be honored to help you remember it all.
