kage B fit my needs perfectly (5 hair, 5 makeup). Sachiko is a sweet lady with a fun bubbly personality. She also is professional, punctual, and is really able to roll with the punches that come during a wedding day. For example, she arrived right on time for my wedding but we ran into a small hiccup when we found out that the banquet manager didn’t leave the Ballroom floor unlocked for us. 😅 Thankfully that resolved soon and not many other big issues happened afterwards. We also had to literally run out of the hotel to stay on schedule for our photos, and she helped me put in my comb and veil and gave my MOH my lipstick in record time. I feel bad that she didnt really have a chance to eat, but my MOH made sure she was hydrated at least. 🥲 I don’t know how she can just work for 6 hours straight. Our makeup and hair looked good all day. I mean granted, I had my wedding during a colder season vs warmer, but still. Sachiko did a really great job. I feel that for Asian people, we have to find people who understand what colors and styles fit our faceshapes and skin-tones; also, fake lashes can’t be too long or thick either. Otherwise we’d look like clowns. Our makeup all looked pretty natural, for the most part, though obviously she helped to enhance our eyes and cheekbones. My mother and mother-in-law also had fun getting their makeup and makeup done professionally for the first time. Also I think it’s worth mentioning that Sachiko is very honest. During the makeup trial, I had already venmoed her the balance before going, just no tip. When leaving, I gave her an envelop with the balance and tip, forgetting that I had already paid for the balance. She told me right away when she could have just pocketed the difference. As a bride with a frazzled brain, I really appreciate people who wouldnt take advantage of me. 😂 This was a long winded story. To summarize, I can’t recommend Sachiko enough, especially if you’re an Asian bride. She’s fun, does great work, and also doesn’t break the bank. What I paid Sachiko to have all of me and my 4 other party members taken care of would have 1/3 of what I would have needed to pay someone else.

We ran exactly on schedule and she was fabulous with helping my mom and the groom's mother figure out what kind of look to go for. Everyone's "wedding day look" turned out fantastic! I also hired Sachiko for extended hours to follow us around for touchups and throughout the day and she went above and beyond to make sure all of our looks stayed intact, using meticulous details to help make everyone looked amazing through the entire afternoon and evening. We had a small mishap with my veil because the photographers had accidentally made a tear in it while taking pictures and Sachiko came to the rescue with her handy sewing skills! She even helped to patch up my veil so that it wouldn't ruin the mood - you could hardly tell anything even happened to it! And as we were taking photos, Sachiko went above and beyond to fan out my long wedding dress train, helped me move around in my gown easily, and kept my high-maintenance hairstyle looking flawless the entire time. I cannot recommend Sachiko enough - she is truly a wonderful artist, and has an absolutely beautiful soul. You won't regret it if you go with Sachiko for your special day!

She not only did an incredible job on the bridal makeup and hair, but for four additional people as well - and very quickly. On the day of the wedding, Sachiko came to set up early and my mom loved her too. She made me feel BEAUTIFUL and confident. She knew exactly what to say to calm my nerves. Oh yes- it's so fun talking to her and she kept me laughing. She even helped with my wedding dress and stayed longer to give me an extra touchup before the ceremony- talk about going above and beyond. I am so thankful for Sachiko- you should definitely choose her to do your makeup for your wedding!

rial one month before my wedding and she did 2 make up looks- one more natural and one with a little more makeup, and 4 different hairstyles with my long hair down- for each hair style, she also showed how it can be put up as an updo since I was going to be changing into a different dress (a traditional Chinese qipao) during reception. Initially I was very worried about finding the right hair and makeup person since I have A LOT of hair, and my hair is also very thick. This was not an issue for Sachiko at all! On top of her amazing skills, she is also very nice and friendly. She is very easy to talk to and she listens to what I wanted. Also her price is very reasonable! Before the wedding, she reached out to me to set a schedule for the day of since I needed a total of 12 services- me, my bridesmaids, mom and MIL. She made sure to make enough time for each service so that I would not be running late. On the day off, she arrived as scheduled and got to work immediately. All my bridesmaids and my moms loved her. Everyone’s hair and makeup turned out great and lasted the whole night! I highly recommend Sachiko! One of my bridesmaids is getting married next year and she is planning on using her too!

Everyone loved their hair and make up and despite the hot humid weather of a summer wedding, my hair and make up really did not budge. And she did everything herself, and on time! Absolutely amazing. When I was upset with the rainy weather, Sachiko helped me to keep my spirits up and assured me my wedding will still be beautiful regardless of how the weather looks outside. Sachiko was there with me throughout my photos and helping with touch up (and my husband as well) and stay later than contracted. While I was busy with my tea ceremony, she hung out and waited to touch up my make up and also did touch up for my bridesmaids as well. She also did hair for my mother and now looking back, she didn't even charge for that service. I truly could not have asked for a better person to be with me during such an important day in my life. Sachiko met all my expectations and beyond. I definitely definitely recommend her to other brides! You will not regret it!

3 bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-in-law. Writing this review, I just realized that's more services than we agreed to originally! But she is so nice she never said a word. Everyone loved how they looked and the hairstyles did not budge all night. One thing I highly recommend is doing a trial first. I was adamant that I didn't want to look too overly made up, but was also unsure of which hairstyle I liked. Sachiko listened, and together with some sample pictures I showed her came up with the perfect look. Somehow in her greatness, she remembered everything that I wanted, and pretty much duplicated the exact look on the wedding day. Did I say she was amazing? Because she really is! Also, listen to her when she tells you how much time she needs, she knows what she is talking about! I underestimated how much time everything would take and had her arrive an hour later than she originally requested. We didn't run late according to the schedule I set, but I did have less time for pictures before the ceremony. Sachiko even stood on the sidelines while we were taking our first look and group pictures, every so often running over to touch up my makeup. She stayed waaay later than I contracted her for, but again, she never uttered a peep or a complaint. And she stood the WHOLE time, never taking a break, even when my mom pleaded with her to please please drink some water or eat a sandwich, Sachiko politely declined and kept going. She is a beast! In conclusion - if you need hair and makeup services, and need someone who is skilled, professional, and the nicest person ever, you are a fool if you don't hire Sachiko. :)

She even stayed a little after to touchup the girls and even the groom! She also gave a free MAC lipstick at the end so I could touch up throughout the night. I just sat in my designated chair, left it all to her based on our hair and make-up trial (booked and paid separately) and when I saw the final outcome, I was most pleased; it was even better than our trial! Nothing overdone – she works with a light hand but with a big aesthetic impact that enhances your natural looks! My hairdo was well thought of - my long hair had romantic curls that she swept to one side to show off my earrings. I was amazed that my hairdo was sturdy and long lived (all of 10-1/2 hours; it held up so well right through the end of our wedding reception). She did five more persons in my wedding entourage (including my future husband) and they all looked elegant! On top of all these, Sachiko’s bubbly personality dispels stress. She is very punctual, friendly, personable, accommodating, reassuring and confident in the decisions she helps you make about your hair and make-up. But her brand of service does not stop there. We got her services for almost ½ a day (12 hours including 1-1/2hours travel time). She repaired make-up mishaps, did retouching at key moments (before and after the church ceremony and before we headed to the park for photos), helped position us and constantly arranged my train during an extensive photo session in church (I am sure our photographer welcomed her impromptu services since it eased his job) and helped in securing the bustle points in my wedding dress. She even gave me a tube of semi-sheer lipstick for touch-ups once she is gone. Sachiko only books one wedding per day so you are assured you have her complete attention and focus! Overall, we highly recommend and stand behind the excellent quality of Ms. Sachiko Yanase’s services. I can’t believe I was going to do attempt my own hair and makeup. This was definitely $300 beyond well spent. I never did a trial. On first go, Sachiko made my hair work perfectly with my flower crown and she had my make up just right. (Sachiko did get me to send a few photos of myself and examples of hair and makeup I’d like). Sachiko is not only super talented at what she does (I don't know how she can be so detailed and gentle and just get everything right) and super professional (she arrived at 6am on the dot and finished exactly when our photographer arrived), she is also the sweetest person! She’s so bubbly and genuine, the whole experience was a lot of fun. I would recommend Sachiko to anyone. Even if you are just doing a simple ceremony at the city hall, it’s worth it!
