If you are a bride or groom who wants a photographer who is professional, constantly educating herself, investing in herself, consistently recognized across the industry, reliable, truth worthy, and most of all a photographer who genuinely cares about her work product, then Sacia is for you. I’m honestly embarrassed it took me this long to write this review, but if any bride or groom wants to personally talk with me about my experience with Sacia, I’d be more than happy to do so, as I firmly believe every person should feel as confident and carefree going into their wedding regarding their photos as I did. With everything that went wrong during my what turned out to be 25 month long engagement, the one thing that went right was choosing Sacia and the beautiful photos we have to cherish forever!

acia has such a calming presence about her and makes the photo process a breeze (even in that Charleston summer heat)! We told her the general vibes we were hoping for, and she suggested some great spots that I would never have found on my own. We ended up with a perfect mix of posed photos and beautiful candids, all of which we will treasure for many years to come. We highly recommend Sacia Matthews Photography!

odness for that. Sacia travelled to Pittsburgh in September for our engagement shoot so that we could get an 'at home' feel as we were doing a destination wedding. She made us feel so incredibly comfortable and we had the time of our lives! On to the wedding..Sacia and her husband have such an incredible eye for wedding photography. It is such a true talent. after we signed the contract (and we had the most popular wedding date of the year). I was more worried about the person BEHIND the camera than the actual photos, as I had negative experiences with other photographers at my friends’ weddings. I knew that the energy created would show up in our photos no matter what. I did not have much of a preference on “style”, but wanted to gauge how much I’d be able to work with a person when anxiety is high and you’re not a professional model. I was drawn to Sacia’s vibe over and over again. She was positive, authentic, and inclusive in her brand on multiple levels. I think plenty of people think they can sling a lens, but her engagement with us on a personal level from day 1 made me comfortable in choosing her for the most important day of my life. I am far from a fashionista, and she made outfit recommendations for both of us to plan for our engagement photos. She made us both feel SO comfortable day-of and that translates to photos, and you would not believe how awkward and lost we are a couple. She gave us amazing cues that did not feel awkward or confusing, and that level of communication is rare trait among humans in general that cannot be taught. On a personal level, she went above and beyond by trying to delay a procedure she needed since it coincided with our engagement photos. Date change was not an option because we were flying in, but we declined that offer and she found a great photographer in her place and edited the photos herself which worked out perfectly. If that does not speak to her commitment and above-and-beyond service, then let me also tell you how she and her second shooter ended up being our ride to the venue after a transportation snafu on the wedding day. I could not have felt worse for this issue, and she handled it with so much grace and never made me feel like the idiot I most definitely was. She was professional throughout the entire event, even when a family member tried to take over photography and got in the way. Overall, even through a viral pandemic, Sacia was a constant source of positivity and love before, during, and even after the big day! As for the photos, I think they speak for themselves. She had a sneak peak to us within 24 hours! A much needed surprise with post-wedding blues that sets in after the big day. Cannot recommend her enough on a professional (organically, turned personal) level.

She also dealt with all my crazy questions up until the very last minute! I feel as if she wasn’t just a vendor but a great friend as well! She helped me with advice throughout the whole planning process and she was a HUGE angel when it came to postponing and making it work with COVID. Anything that you need Sacia is there to help! I would highly recommend them over and over again! Although my wedding has now passed I hope to use their services again in the future for a boudoir shoot!

She’s flexible as my engagement session had to be moved twice due to weather and I had to change all my plans due to the pandemic (added an elopement and postponed the big celebration to December). Her images were gorgeous- the bait, but her personality, proactiveness and friendliness were definitely the hooks. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy having engagement pictures hundreds of miles away from home was because of Sacia. She helped us plan everything out and answered all of my logistical and fashion-related questions. We couldn't have been more pleased with how quickly we received our gallery, especially the sneak peek! Plus, the quality of the images are amazing!! She's helped me with outfit choices, timeline adjustments, general wedding jitters, and so much more. When our wedding had to be postponed due to COVID, Sacia worked with us to not only reschedule, but to be there for our intimate elopement on the original day of our wedding. Sacia has become less like a vendor and more like a member of our family over the last year of wedding planning. Her personality and spirit are amazing, but her work speaks for itself. Sacia took into account what my vision was and how I wanted my pictures to turn out and she made it absolutely magical. The pictures taken by Sacia are held very close to my heart and I receive compliments on the photographs almost daily at my job (Where I have them framed and on my computer background) as well as anytime someone comes into our home. Picking Sacia for our wedding was the easiest decision out of my entire wedding planning process, and I would go as far to say it was the best decision I made throughout my entire wedding process. Sacia is an amazing photographer, business owner, and friend, and all of these qualities show through into the images she produces for you. You will never regret using her services.
