Bought by founder Ellen Whiteside in 2006, the breathtaking venue gives couples access to the best natural surroundings on offer in the Piedmont. Ellen is fondly known as the goddess of the grove and has placed a huge amount of love and time into restoring and beautifying the land. The incredible venue is surrounded by 11 acres of woodland and can cater to indoor and outdoor weddings. Whether you would like to spend your wedding weekend away from the world with your family and friends or you are looking to host a one-day wedding, Sacred Grove Retreat can cater to your desires. With two beautiful areas available for marriage ceremonies, there is plenty of choices for all. Ellen is a natural hostess and focuses on building rapport and making sure every guest who steps onto the land feels welcomed. The venue can facilitate intimate indoor ceremonies in the Grandmother Yurt, and larger outdoor ceremonies can be held in the alluring labyrinth. These areas are perfect for receptions and create ample opportunities for pictures. Sacred Grove Retreat's centerpiece is the Grove House, which can house up to 18 people. If you need to accommodate more guests, then you can add on the Log House, the Baby Yurt, and the Yummy Yurt which can increase sleeping capacity up to an additional 14 people.
