Sierra did hair for me and a few others for my wedding, and her work was just perfect. I have long, extremely fine/thin hair, and I wanted to wear it down (with a few strands pinned back) in loose, natural-looking waves. I thought I would need to put in some extensions for the day, just because my hair is so thin, but I ended up not needing them at all. I was shocked at how voluminous she made my hair look! Sierra did a great job of giving me the beautiful style I wanted, while making sure to keep it a natural look. I really felt the prettiest version of myself :) She's also just so sweet and has a very nice and calming presence for the day of your wedding. Highly recommend!!!

I came across Sacred Mane through Instagram and was instantly enamored by Sierra’s beautiful updos. I met with Sierra 7 months prior to my wedding day and immediately loved my hair for the trial session. She was so sweet and kind and incredibly easy to work with. Within that time she worked with my hair to provide it with more shape and color in preparation for the big day. Sierra is incredibly talented. She pays attention to the finest details to make sure everything is perfect. I loved my hair for my wedding and it stayed gorgeous throughout the whole night despite how much dancing I did. I highly recommend Sierra!

Working with Sierra was the easiest decision I made! There are plenty reasons my hair & bridesmaids' turned out so great - which underscore Sierra's gift at this: 1. She is incredibly collaborative. She encouraged me to share multiple inspiration photos and we talked through pros, cons, context, style, etc. at the hair trial. She helped me shape a whole look. She doesn't have a "type" which I appreciate, knowing my bridesmaids have their own preferences. 2. I'm always one to mess with my hair, but Sierra found a way to make my wedding style worry free. We worked through options for texture, lift, pieces in the face, the whole thing. Sierra approaches wedding day hair through the experience of the bride at an event, which is awesome. 3. By the way, it looked fantastic from every angle! I was thrilled. My bridesmaids' (nieces!) hair looked terrific as well, and held up all day. Tons of complements. 4. It made the morning prep more zen just to have Sierra in my corner. We started together really peacefully, and since she prepped so well, there were no surprises. As my family showed up to get ready, she made everyone feel calm and cool. Not easy to do!! I couldn't recommend her more!

I would definitely recommend Sierra English! She spent a lot of time with me during the hair trial until we finally narrowed down what I was looking for. She took a lot of photos so I could analyze what I liked and didn't like. She has a great vibe and personality for your wedding day, and you only want to be surrounded by positive people on that day! All of my bridesmaids had their hair done by Sierra and everyone looked amazing. If you have the chance to book Sierra, do it!

Sierra is amazing! I have been going to her for almost 5 years now for my haircuts and color. I had taken a break from color for quite a few years, but it was easy to trust Sierra- she listened to what I wanted and made me feel super comfortable taking the leap again (balayage is awesome)! I’ve absolutely loved my color and cut since Sierra has been my stylist. When I asked Sierra to do my hair and create a succulent crown for my engagement shoot, she traveled to my house and made me MULTIPLE succulent and flower crowns and succulent clips to choose from even though it was a very last minute request on my part. She did a beautiful job and I got so many compliments on the beautiful succulent crown! She also only charged me for the crown that I ended up using, which was great. For my wedding day, I wanted to make sure my color was a little more natural and Sierra did such a great job of achieving that while making sure it still had depth and richness. I also decided at the last minute (the week before) I wanted to use clip-in hair extensions for my wedding day - Sierra was SO helpful. She recommended a local LA business to order them from so they would arrive super quickly and even gave me a coupon code for free shipping. Because it was so last minute on my part, she ended up only having one day to color them so they would match my recently done color - she actually moved appointments around so she could make them perfect for me with multiple rounds of color treatments. She really went above and beyond and my hair color and extensions turned out to be just what I wanted for my wedding day. Thanks so much, Sierra!! On top of everything else, Sierra is just super sweet and always has a great attitude. I would totally recommend her with no hesitations!

Sierra was absolutely wonderful to work with. She took my direction but also had some great ideas of her own! I ended up doing a very casual but beautiful down-do with a flower crown and it looked perfect for my big day. She also worked with my sisters and mother who all looked spectacular and enjoyed Sierra's style. I would recommend her to anyone for their big occasion!

Sierra has been my go-to hair gal for almost 12 years. That alone should tell you something! Over the years it's been various cut and color appointments, but as I prepared for my wedding I was so overjoyed that she had developed a knack for styling wedding hair as well. It was a no-brainer to have her do my hair as well as my mom's and bridesmaids. She handled the 6 hair styles on the wedding day no problem like the seasoned pro she is. I had a while to create a plan of action with Sierra, and did a few cuts, a color, and a trial leading up to the big day. She was super awesome during the trial, as the style I had in mind I ended up not liking it on me, and she helped figure out another option that I loved. She is so talented and can do whatever hairstyle you can dream up. My hair also doesn't hold style well at all, so she made sure it held up all day and all night during the wedding. My mom has super frizzy hair and Sierra worked her magic and gave her the most amazing MOB hair. The whole experience with Sierra was the best, I definitely wouldn't have had my wedding hair any other way!

Sierra did an AMAZING job with my hair on my wedding day! I did a package with two wedding trials and haircut. I am very picky with my hair and I was very nervous about how it would turn out. Sierra listened to exactly what I wanted for each trial and did a beautiful job!! She also styled two of my family members who were so happy with how their hair turned out. She is also the sweetest, most positive person and a great energy to have around on my wedding day. I will definitely be coming back for haircuts in the future! I would highly recommend her for any bride!

Sierra is wonderful! I loved the way my hair looked at my wedding. I received so many compliments! I did a test trial with her first and knew right away that I would be in great hands! I have very wavy frizzy hair, and even though it was an outdoor wedding on a boat not once did I have to worry about frizzy hair. The hair cut she did prior was great too. Sierra is seriously the best! I started going to her 6 months before my wedding for color correction to make sure my hair was the perfect shade of blonde. She was attentive, asked great questions and the outcome was amazing. I've never been happier with my color. From the trial stage to the day of the wedding, she went up and beyond. She exceeded my expectations for my soft updo and my bridesmaids and mother LOVED their half-back styles. Sierra took time with all my gals and everyone was so pleased with the results. It was fantastic to work with Sierra. I'm probably a tougher client in that I'm not comfortable having a lot done, and somehow want everything to look effortless but put together. Sierra nailed it. Sierra is amazing! She went above and beyond to make me look and feel beautiful. Before my second trial I got probably the worst haircut of my life. When I walked into Sierra's salon in Venice and explained what happened she not only styled my hair but cut it to perfection. Turning a bad situation into a great one! On the day of my wedding Sierra showed up on time and ready to get started. She is pleasant to talk to and made me and my bridesmaids feel at ease, not to mention we all looked georgeous!

There are so many things to consider when planning a wedding. So many choices as to who to hire, I felt overwhelmed. I was getting married in a small town and when I went to look for vendors in the area, I just wasn’t happy with what I saw online. I took a leap of faith and asked Sierra who had done my hair in Venice for a year, if she would make the trip. Let me tell you, this was such a blessing. She traveled, was the first to arrive the day of the wedding, and was always so quiet and peaceful doing her work. She even made it the day before in case I wanted her to do my hair for the rehearsal dinner (I so wish she had!). She literally saved one of my bridesmaids who got her hair done by one of the local vendors and looked ridiculous. The style that she came up with to match my dress was total perfection, an elegant up do to match my Isabelle Armstrong gown that I had bought in New York. My mother in law is still talking about how beautiful my hair looked. My hair looks amazing in every picture, from every angle. Sierra is such an artist not only because she does great work, but because she found the right look that fit me, my personality, my look. It was so perfect I cried at my hair trial. If you are considering hiring her, do it. There are so many things on the day of and the days before that will require your focus and attention. Sierra’s work is something you can count on, something that will bring you ease rather than worry. She is on your side every step of the way. SIERRA'S WORK: All of the reviews are true - Sierra knows hair! In a hip area like Venice where styles / trends are constantly changing, it says a lot that her client base has remained loyal for more than 10+ years. MY WEDDING: Both my husband and my families were from out of town - so there were lots personalities and opinions. Sierra did my hair, my bridesmaids, the moms and also trimmed up the groom and (at the last minute) - my dad! Everyone was thrilled with how they looked and were put at ease! I would be remiss if I did not comment on Sierra as a person. Genuine, Salt of the Earth, honest, and can roll with the punches. My day would not have been the same without her!

Sierra is the ultimate pro and EXACTLY the person a smart bride would want on her team for your wedding day and for life!! I've gone to Sierra for my everyday-look for years so naturally, when it came down to the most important day of my life, there was no one better to make me the happiest bride in the look that I wanted! EXACTLY what I wanted, but better! I knew I made the right choice for Sierra from the very beginning, becaus she was enthusiastic and completely devoted to making my wedding hair dreams come true. We talked about what I envisioned, she started a board on Pinterest, (JUST FOR ME!!!) and made sure we were on the same page the whole time. When we did the run through before the wedding, I almost cried! I loved it!!! When it was time for the actually walk down the aisle, Sierra had my hair looking even more gorgeous and I was so happy. And just a note about this lady- she is one of the most creative, fun and kindest people you will ever work with. I can't imagine my wedding without her and my photos are a testament to her talent. I wish I lived closer so I could use her as my stylist, but for now I will settle for having her as the fairy godmother to my wedding hair dream come true. Sierra really put in 110% for my wedding day. Not only was she sweet and easy to work with, she was able to try several looks out for me. I booked two trials and the day of appointment. I kept changing my mind, and Sierra was amazing each time working with me to make me feel beautiful and excited about my look. She even was able to squeeze me in for a last minute haircut so that my hair really felt perfect!! She is a pro! Totally worth seeing. I will be going back to her for sure for any hair help, and she gave me the best cut I have EVER had!
