Sage & Ash Photography

I wish I had better things to say about Blake & Courtney from Sage & Ash Photography, but I do not. We booked them for our engagement and wedding photos. After our engagement session, it was difficult to get ahold of Courtney in regard to our engagement photos. Once she contacted me, it was filled with explanations (aka excuses) about why she wasn’t responsive. But we got our photos and they were beautiful. Leading up the wedding, I reached out many times to finalize things with Courtney but went over a month unanswered. Finally, she contacted and didn’t even address the lack of responses previously. They came to our wedding and photographed. Courtney texted me 2 days later to comment on how delicious the cookies she took home were. And that was the last I ever heard from her. At the 3 month mark, I texted for an update but (surprise, surprise!) no response. My husband and I attempted to contact through numerous methods (email, phone call, Facebook, and all kinds of social media) and every attempt went unanswered. After a month of trying to get in contact, we emailed that we would be taking legal action. As a last ditch effort, we took out background checks on them and found Blake’s mom’s phone number. We left her a voicemail explaining the situation. A few hours later, Blake called us and said he had no idea we hadn’t received our photos. He mentioned they had some things going on personally. He was able to deliver our photos the next day. We expressed that we understand things happen but they are running a business and that was unacceptable. We asked Blake for a refund on Monday and he said he would refund us for the background checks and come up with a proposal for an additional refund and would have it to us Thursday. Today is Sunday and nothing (shocker, right?). The photos were beautiful but the customer service and communication were TERRIBLE. Courtney’s Linked In profile highlights her 100% customer satisfaction rate through service & communication. I’m sorry, communication where??? I still haven’t spoken to her since the text 2 days after our wedding 4 months ago. So incredibly disappointed in Sage & Ash Photography’s ability to provide the service paid for in a timely manner.

Courtney and Blake are so talented and are pro wedding photographers! Our pictures came out incredible, both for our engagement and wedding. We highly recommend them for anyone looking a talented duo for either couples or for full blown weddings! Even with COVID right in the middle of planning, Courtney and Blake were very responsive. And on the wedding day, they stuck with the schedule and got all the shots we wanted. :)

We love Sage and Ash! Courtney took our engagement photos and they came out amazing! She was so fun and easy to work with! She made me and my fiancé feel so comfortable and we had such a great time! We rarely take photos so we were both nervous but we love the results! Couldn’t recommend her enough!

We absolutely loved Blake and Courtney! They did our engagement and wedding photos and were absolutely wonderful. My husband and I were both afraid that we were going to be awkward in front of the camera but they immediately felt at ease. They'll make sure and direct you into poses to get the best staged photos but they were also great at candid shots, as well! I also appreciated that they weren't super obvious about taking pictures during the ceremony. They got great shots while also not drawing attention to themselves. We didn't have a wedding planner and Courtney was so helpful with planning a day-of timeline, as well.
