From the time spent helping us decide on the food, linen colors, designing the floor layout, timing and flow of events, to putting out our personal items at the venue, and to packing up everything at the end of the night and loading it into our car- Sage made this whole process easy and seamless! Sage was very responsive and accommodating through the whole process, and during the tasting (you can bring a total of 6 people!), we were able to provide feedback and customize the dishes. They helped us create a unique dining experience that was within our budget and listened to our feedback, made suggestions, provided us with options to pick from, and followed up to clarify/confirm what we wanted. Everything looked beautiful, was delicious, and was exactly as we discussed, and I received so many compliments on the food and appearance!!! To top it all off, the service was fantastic! The team was super attentive and made sure we ate and always had a drink in hand. Everyone told me to get a day off coordinator; I didn’t, but with Sage, I personally didn’t need one. Shout out to Amanda and team who made my day PERFECT!!

ey help you figure out a menu, a layout/set up, provide alcohol recommendations, coordinate all of your vendors as they set up, make a reception timeline, coordinate your cake delivery, and were even willing to set up candles, a champagne tower, and other decor for the reception. We worked with Amanda throughout the entire process. From the first day I reached out, she was very responsive, and seemed very experienced. I was so indecisive about the menu, that I think I must have changed elements of it 5+ times -- every change was picked up and adjusted for. Now, days after the wedding, we are still hearing about how good the food was, how perfectly the filet mignon was cooked, and how wonderful the servers were! Prior to the wedding, we were told by so many people to make sure that we made time to eat because it would get so hectic that we'd forget. We did NOT even have to worry about this with Sage. They assigned a server specifically to us, Steph, who brought us a plate of all the cocktail hour food, continued to bring us waters and cocktails throughout the night, would ask us if we needed anything, and in general was amazing. Thank you Steph, Amanda, and the team at Sage for making our wedding reception so perfect!!

Our one and only complaint, which I truly don't know if it's because of health code or some other reason, is that we didn't really get to wrap anything up to take with us. Most guests at our wedding never even saw the dessert table (because we had an ice cream truck!) but we paid for a ton of dessert that didn't get eaten and didn't get to take any of it home with us. That was very disappointing. We also had some guests cancel due to COVID after we'd paid for their plates, and would've liked to take the meals that we paid for home with us. Again, I don't know if this is Sage's decision or if they're not allowed to send us with the food, but it was unfortunate that we couldn't take a lot of food we felt we had paid for. Would've loved to have a fridge full of dessert or extra food before we left for our honeymoon!

ption, a post wedding brunch and capped off with my son's graduation party. That's five events in three days with distinct menus. SAGE delivered and exceeded all of our expectations! The prime rib was melt in the mouth amazing, the sushi rolls and salads were just the right thing, the (OMG!) lobster tails and oysters on our raw bar, plus delectable passed appetizers that had twists on old favorites (can you say pork belly topped deviled eggs? or mini ahi tuna tacos and mini lobster rolls?) garnered us compliments that are still coming over a week later. There were food choices for everyone all weekend. The ingredients were fresh, the execution of our vision and menu was flawless. My husband and I each had a personal SAGE staff person making sure we ate throughout the weekend, making sure we had water in addition to our libations- they did the same for my mom. At the end of our long weekend, I cried with appreciation for everything our SAGE team (and wedding planner) did to make our festivities be the "wedding wonderland" and "best wedding I've ever been to" that we aimed to host. I will recommend them all day every day and will definitely be hiring them again for future entertaining. Don't look anywhere else!

ssful experience I had, as I look back on moments of my wedding that could have been easily avoided and less stressful with a better vendor. At our first meeting with Sage, we were assured “no day of planner would be necessary-unless we were doing a lot of DIY”, (which we weren’t). Dana put our minds at ease that she would handle any day of coordination on our wedding day. With that being said, throughout the planning, any questions that were answered were not timely or some not at all. I was incorrectly sent someone else’s contract, and when I brought it to her attention I was sent the correct contract but my name was incorrect (they referred to me as Laura, when my name is Andrea) Then, the week of the wedding, she informed me at the bottom of an email as a “reminder” that she was having another coordinator step in, with no introduction. The first time I spoke with the new coordinator was on the wedding day, leading up to this point and on our contract it was Dana. Not only was the coordinator switched out last minute but there was a lack of communication on their part as I had to go over the seating chart in the middle of getting dressed. (Which the venue said was due to the caterer not sending over the floor plan). While dinner was good, it was extremely slow, half of the room was finished by the time the other half was being served. This also impacted the other vendors. The 14 piece band wasn’t able to eat during dinner which caused a delay in their set. This delay resulted in having to pay the videographer for extra coverage because we passed our time allotment before we finished dinner and hadn’t captured parent dances or cake cutting. I was also informed mid-reception that two types of liquor were running low and I could give them my credit card for and they’d see if they could get more. Most of the waitstaff were good, the woman who served the bridal party was amazing, but some of the waitstaff was overheard complaining and making fun of the one of the fathers and there is a large concern with one of the bartenders. Towards the end of the night as guests were leaving she was seen by many guests throwing up in the front garden. She then attempted to get into the father of the brides car and had to be escorted away. Whether she was sick or drunk either can be extremely dangerous and she should have gone home early if it was an issue. There was even vomit in the staff only accessible rooms when we went to pick up decor the following morning. Not only is this embarrassing to have at our wedding but she could have harmed someone else, herself or gotten our guests sick. I could go on, but those were the most upsetting and disappointing highlights of our experience with Sage. We reached out to the company to address our concerns with little remorse from them and a half hearted apology.

We had our own personal attendant who brought us a full tray of cocktail hour food to enjoy while taking photos. They worked well with our venue and didn't leave me to make any decisions on the day of the wedding. We received many compliments for the quality of the entrees. We did have disappointments which I believe are important to note in an honest review. We were informed the main garnish- peaches for our signature cocktail was out of season, the evening before our wedding. This was extremely frustrating as our bar signs were already created. My other thought was although they are out of season, I know grocery stores have them...so I wasn't sure how the large budget we spent would be used if not to seek out every item we requested. My guests informed me the cocktail hour passed hors d'oeuvres were hard to come by which is disappointing because the selection was fantastic. My matron of honor also let me know when she requested a water refill, nobody returned and she was only given the initial glass. The nuts requested for our salad were supposed to be pecans, but instead we received what looked like almonds and walnuts. My dad mentioned he would take a sip of a drink and set it down and immediately it was taken away. This is frustrating because we had to supply our own bar, so to hear how much alcohol was potentially wasted is unacceptable, as his drinks were full when they were taken. Lastly, we had requested a welcome non-alcoholic beverage for guests to enjoy prior to the ceremony and this was not set up or distributed. The catering company was of course the largest part of our budget and we had higher expectations for all our wants discussed at our initial meeting, through email and again in a final meeting to be followed through. Overall our big day was perfect, and these were small blips in the grand scheme of things, but I know when I was seeking vendors I wanted to know what I might expect to go wrong.

Their service and staff, especially Cortney, were so helpful and nice and did everything they could to make our day go smoothly. We had rave reviews about the food, and not one, but TWO engaged couple friends of ours wanted to book Sage Catering for their upcoming weddings! You will not regret booking/working with them!

anning a wedding during COVID was less than ideal. There were constant uncertainties regarding every aspect. Yet, in spite of the chaos, Sage made the process as painless and seamless as possible. Cortney made herself available at almost all hours of the day and week. As my wife and I got home each evening and would have questions about the planning and various details (somehow this convo never occurred before 8PM) Cortney would still deliver prompt replies via text, email, call. She provided concise and detailed feedback that allowed us to move the planning process. Upfront we received a timeline of when certain decisions needed to be made and payments due. There was ZERO ambiguity as to what was next. She helped us get to "yes" on our wants and provided creative alternative options when our wants weren't practical. Cooperation: Due to a positive company reputation and work ethic, Sage connected us with preferred vendors that did not disappoint. It goes a long way when the people planning and facilitating your wedding enjoy working with one another - IT SHOWS IN EXECUTION. Cortney coordinated across our vendors, leaving us with as close to a one stop shop as we could have asked for. The few occasions when we needed to meet face to face with vendors, Cortney would be present or have connected previously so everyone always operated off of the same game plan. This is a factor we hadn't expected at first but it quickly showed its value. For example when meeting with your florist, Cortney had already done the legwork to reach out and provide samples of linens Sage carried to allow the florist to present a template that best complimented our theme. When meeting at the venue, the staff there were already apprised of the table dimensions from Sage to know how our table settings could fit best. These finite details are small, yes, but they provided the extra polish that set the wedding over the top. While attention to detail may be overlooked by the couple, we were reassured that Sage would not overlook them. Food quality: Hands down the best wedding food in the business! Besides a robust selection of food options, the quality, plating and taste were excellent. The price to quality ratio is the best that you can get in the PA/NJ area. Execution: The staff that handled setup, food prep, and servicing were polite and friendly. Since our wedding we have had several family members and friends comment on how pleasant the service staff were. Besides their knowledge of what they were serving and general demeanor the staff were just, fun! Cortney didn't disappoint here either. On the day of the wedding her thoughtfulness and concern for our sanity showed through. When she saw us pinned down with greeting guests and taking pictures she took action. The food never stopped coming and drinks were plenty. Our two bar tenders provided by Sage were quick and knowledgeable. The line moved swiftly and I never heard a complaint about booz. Overall: We will definitely plan to utilize Sage again for future events. Cortney is a GEM! She provided a level of care and attention above and beyond our expectations. Would love to work with her again - she'll be on our Christmas card list for years to come!

Sage helped to transform our backyard into a beautiful wedding venue that many of our guest claimed they did not even know was a backyard. Upon our initial meeting with Sage we had the opportunity to sample hors devours and entrees, which were absolutely delicious and had a beautiful presentation. We consulted with Dana throughout the planning process, she is great to work with, is very organized and had a lot of great recommendations. Our second meeting with Dana consisted of her actually coming out to our home to check out our backyard, in order to get a better vision of how our backyard venue needed to be set up and arranged. They are a full service catering company that set up our entire floor plan for our event (tables, chairs, linens) as well as other decorations, such as place cards, and memorial tables. Dana assigned us a day of event coordinator who handled all 'day of' planning and setting up. Sage's team arrived to our home (during our Wedding Ceremony) hours prior to the Reception, and turned our backyard into a stunning venue. They handled absolutely everything, and my family and I did not need to worry about anything during our evening Reception. They greeted guests, butlered hors devours, and manned the entire Reception without any problems. Once myself, my husband, and bridal party arrived, we were met with drinks and hors devours inside of my family home, while we waited for cocktail hour to be over. From there, Sage seamlessly organized the entire evening, from ushering our guests into our tent, to serving our entrees (which were hot, and delicious), to even setting out a dessert table full of homemade family cookies and doughnuts, to changing the bar to a self service bar at the end of the night, to cleaning everything up, all done in a very professional manner. As I said before, all of our friends and family exclaimed that our backyard wedding felt like a wonderland and a true Wedding Reception, to which we have to give a lot of credit to Sage for being a huge part of our special day. If you are looking for a full service catering company, Sage is absolutely the one to go with! Thank you so much Sage for helping to make our Wedding Reception our dream event!

She took the time to answer questions, and provide detail about pricing and worked with us to meet our budget goals for 100 guests! Our tasting was prenominal. We went home afterwards and it took all of 10 minutes to write to Dana to tell her we were very excited to move forward and book Sage Catering for our wedding. They were a preferred vendor for our venue Appleford and I'm so glad we were given the opportunity to have them cater our wedding. To this day, more than a month later, our guests are still raving about the food. The passed appetizers were delicious, most notably the crab cakes and the cheesesteak spring rolls! The entrees were out of this world. I had the salmon and had a request that it was prepared well done, and the team listened and executed the best salmon I have ever had! I am still thinking about how good my dinner was. My husband had the chicken dish that was offered and said it was just as good as he remembered at the tasting! I've had quite a few guests tell me how rare it was to have their chicken dish come out piping hot, especially at a wedding! To top off the night, the desserts did not disappoint - they were incredible! The staff was pleasant, friendly and easy to work with. Although my husband and I did not get to taste the appetizers we were pleased to hear that the feedback from the guests was that there were plenty of servers walking around offering appetizers! There was never a time where food wasn't available during cocktail hour which made me happy to hear! Mary was our day of coordinator, and she was fantastic! She was fun, easy going, patient and kind! I really enjoyed my experience with her. She made sure our dinners came out ok, and checked up a few times throughout the night to make sure everything was good which I really appreciated! She made me feel special, and took good care of us! She worked alongside with the photographer to make sure if I was needed for a photo that I was in the right spot at the right time! At the end of the night Mary walked around offering guests chocolate covered strawberries which multiple guests told me how much they enjoyed that! I cannot recommend Sage catering enough, and hope to work with them again in the future! Thank you Dana, Mary and staff for making my wedding day an amazing one!!

Everything, from the passed and stationary appetizers, to the salad and entrees, to the desserts, was delicious and extremely well presented! The staff: The staff were all super friendly to all guests, and made sure everything went well for us. It was a delight working with everyone! The planning: The planning was a breeze. We coordinated everything through Cortney, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made our day so easy (planning for a year + day of execution!) and had everything exactly how we wanted - she was focused on us having a wonderful day. It was super easy to work with her, she was very communicative and responsive, and made our day that much easier and better. Down to the napkins, table covers, runners, plates and silverware, every detail was exactly how we wanted (even our table chart and menu layouts!), and the execution was extremely smooth!

Cortney was so wonderful to work with and was always available to answer any questions that we had, especially with all of the last minute changes that we had to make. We were finally able to move forward with our wedding this past weekend on 5/8/21 and we are already receiving so many positive compliments on how amazing the food was. My daughter’s big destination wedding in California was scaled back to an intimate ceremony and dinner in our suburban Main Line home and SAGE made it appear effortless and flawless. I’d never hosted a wedding before and Dana Twaddell provided the needed amount of direction, handling all the party rental ordering and delivery, giving decorating suggestions, even providing outdoor heat lamps. As for food, they swooped into the kitchen and produced one unbelievable dish after another. I heard so many compliments that night, from the hors d’ oeuvres to the salmon to the filet to the salads. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the late night snack of guacamole and homemade chips. The wait staff were efficient, almost invisible, and kind — the bride felt special, but so did my niece when they specifically sought her out to make sure that her meal was dairy-free. :-) And Dana. Dana! As an event planner, she is the epitome of grace and calm. When she asked me about the champagne and I realized that I had forgotten to buy it, she didn’t even blink an eye. “No problem. We’ll just clear those flutes from the table.” :-) I could go on, about how clean they left the kitchen and how they even played parking valets, shuffling cars in our driveway without being asked, but I’ll stop. Suffice it to say, that, in the end, I actually came to believe that they’re not really caterers, but are really more like magicians, creating a magical night we'll all remember.

We did not have to follow up on anything during the planning process...Trisha was on top of every single detail from the get go! From the timeline of how the day would flow, to contacting all of our other vendors to ensure everybody was on the same page, to making sure George and I had food and drinks throughout the night, to "hoarding" our crazy families throughout the day, and most importantly for making all of my visions and dreams a reality! Not only is Sage a catering company with beautiful linens, table decor, incredible food, but truly a wedding planning business as a whole...Trisha was the perfect accompanist to me and my mom as we planned the wedding. Without a doubt, I would recommend Sage and would go back and choose them all over again to relive the most perfect day!!

They were wonderfully accommodating early in our wedding planning when we had a long delay in booking the venue and setting a date. We worked with Trisha, who is a superhero. She helped us coordinate with our other vendors and there wasn’t a single hiccup. We got married at an urban farm that required us to coordinate with a lot of other vendors and it was no problem at all for Trisha. From early on it was clear she had absolutely everything under control and could roll with any and all bumps in the road. She was a delight to work with and her expertise and recommendations were very helpful. She was always very prompt and flexible. Interacting with her was never a chore like it can be with some vendors. I really could not recommend Sage and Trisha more highly!

communication with me over our year of planning, and never hesitated to make any change I wanted. She was the day of planner as well, and our wedding ran seamlessly. I knew with her in charge I didn’t have to worry at all. Our guests still talk about our food - it was one of the best meals I’ve had. We offered three entrees and they were all so good that my husband and I asked for our meal to be a small portion of each - we couldn’t decide! We had many vegan guests and they catered to them incredibly. The vegan food was so good and I never would have none. They did an incredible job of setting everything up exactly how I pictured, and their waitstaff was professional and polite. I can’t recommend them enough!!

During our cocktail hour, they made sure we got to try each of our hor d'oeurves and drinks while we were talking to guests, so we would not be missing out. They also took the same consideration with our entrees, so my wife and I actually got to enjoy our wonderful dinner entrees! As a side perk, Ed and his team functioned like our day-of planners at the venue as well, and helped tremendously with coordinating our wedding day events with the other vendors. ine Manor House which Dana was familiar with. Having a rough idea of what we wanted, Dana was super instrumental. With her knowledge of the venue and her ability to translate our thoughts into reality, it turned out to be a huge success. She was able to assist with details we didn't even think of from choosing our menu to choosing colors for linens. When the event came closer and closer, instead of becoming more stressed about details, we were able to just be excited about our wedding knowing that Dana had everything under control. Our wedding day finally came and the whole day was just so enjoyable. The food was so so so delicious - we received so many compliments! Dana helped coordinate our signature cocktails and the bartenders did great. All the rest of the staff were so polite and professional; they all worked together well. Overall it was such a great wedding experience and we have a lot to thank Dana for. It's clear she is good at what she does! We were truly happy with Sage and would happily recommend :)

They even took special orders and made personalized dishes at our request. Trisha was basically our wedding planner and she made sure to check in with us as needed and made our day so so so special. I have already received requests from our guests for referrals for their upcoming events. I can't recommend them enough!

Dana responded to all of my one off e-mails (that I often sent late at night) and kept me calm throughout the entire planning process. Our wedding day went by so quickly - if there were any issues, we didn't know about them! Sage was efficient and kept everything on schedule. she was so wonderful throughout the process. We did not use a wedding planner, so we were a bit worried about how it would flow, but they were true professionals. Her guidance and advice was so helpful throughout the entire process. The staff on our wedding day were also very nice and thoughtful - we really appreciated their hard work!
