About this vendor
Sagebrush Films is a wedding videography company based in Redondo Beach, CA, specializing in films that tell incredible stories and showcase stunning imagery. Owner Joel named this business after the sagebrush, an evergreen plant known to remain vibrant and beautiful for centuries. He strives to create wedding films that, like the sagebrush, stand the test of time and remind couples of their special day for a lifetime.
Joel is passionate about providing a candid, authentic alternative to the traditional wedding video. He believes every couple deserves a wedding film that celebrates them and what makes their relationship unique, not a generic collection of poses set to cheesy music! His approach to his craft is to look for moments rather than create them, resulting in a film that tells the story of an event as it unfolded.
Sagebrush Films works with newlyweds in CA and worldwide, wherever a client's journey leads. Joel has designed a selection of packages to suit all budgets and wedding plans, though he is always happy to customize an experience to fit a couple's unique requirements. Documenting every moment of a celebration is important to Joel, so he collaborates with a second videographer at larger events. Whether it's a wild elopement in a tropical location or a romantic beach wedding in California, Sagebrush Films can capture the love, laughter, and memories in moving motion.

We are 1-year late to writing this review, but we just watched our wedding video on our first anniversary and we are in tears. Sagebrush did an AMAZING job capturing our day. They ...
took such great care of us and really listened to what we wanted. They took our ideas further than we could have imaged. We consider our wedding video to be one of our favorite assets out of the best day of our lives. WE ARE SO THANKFUL! Do not hesitate to bring them aboard your day.
Joel was incredible at capturing our love during our destination wedding in Sayulita, Mexico. We flew him out for the weekend to film our welcome party hosted on Friday along with ...
our wedding on Saturday. Joel’s professionalism and coordination with our wedding planner and DJ/ wedding schedule was unmatched.
He was early to all venues for proper set up, as well as getting plenty of B-roll footage for our wedding video. Not only did he do this for our two events, but went above and beyond to get great shots all around Sayulita to really showcase the week we all lived during our celebrations immersed in the culture.
Joel used a combination/blend of modern cameras and drones along with vintage super 8 film. His artistic eye and editing has made our wedding video something people talk to us about almost weekly still! He was very mindful in asking what we wanted to see in the video and asked if we had any music suggestions or preference. We ultimately wanted him to have full creative freedom and trusted his process.
My husband and I love the outcome of our video and how he captured our special weekend - We watch it together all the time. We are so happy we hired him - we highly recommend Joel for your wedding videography needs!

taking notes, since we did request a song change and few tweaks to our final wedding video. We appreciate that Joel was so great with the feedback and made sure our video was picture perfect. Also I loved being able to have Super 8 footage of our wedding. We love the retro feel so that definitely was very special to us. Would hire Joel again! Do yourself a favor and book him!
If you’re on the fence about a videographer, I’m telling you it’s a must, especially if it’s Joel. Joel was so easy to work with. He was very communicative and we actually didn’t s...
ee him pretty much the entire wedding yet he got every detail we wanted captured. We were worried a videographer would be hovering around us the whole night but that wasn’t at all how working with Joel felt. I still watch our wedding video about once a week, I’m obsessed. We highly recommend Joel!!
Most wedding videographers have no creativity. They recycle the same corny edit with a few speeches and a Michael Bublé song overlaid.
