o incredibly beautiful, even with our minimal decor. I've gotten my sneak peek back for my photos and the shots of the spaces without guests in them are so stunning, I feel like I got married in a movie. The help we got from the wedding team was a godsend, and they helped make sure everything remained on track. They followed up with us on a regular basis and helped me nail down a timeline, and made a lot of great recommendations when I had no clue what to do. Thanks to that, I had several guests tell me the overall flow of the wedding was seamless, which I know I wouldn't have been able to pull off on my own. The food was the greatest food I've ever had at a wedding, and I'm not just saying that because it was my wedding. All of my guests said the same. I had several guests who had necessary dietary accommodations and the venue easily took care of them, while also maintaining the high quality of the meal. The other great thing was we had our own personal server (shoutout to Michael) who made sure we always had a drink in our hand and he was super funny and nice. He even stocked our hotel room with extra meals and snacks for the next day which I really appreciated. Overall, I cannot recommend this venue enough. Even now, a month after the ceremony, people are still raving about it and I'm just so impressed by their level of quality and commitment to their guests!

was always attentive to my hundreds of questions. The food and service was incredible. Micheal our head of catering for the evening was beyond our expectations. He took amazing care of our wedding party and parents. They had meals for each of us in our rooms to take home the next day and just went above and beyond with everything.

ugh all of your options and guide you along the way. On the wedding day, multiple people were guiding me and making sure my husband and I had everything we needed. The service was great. The head server, Michael, was amazing and made sure to check on us and our families continually throughout the night. Megan and Janette were so helpful throughout the planning process and on wedding day. We loved everything about this venue!

d coordinator who said would be there on our big day was nowhere to be found (still don't have an explanation to this day). Bridal party table was not set-up and had to get workers to assist w/ set-up during our cocktail table. Dinner was an hour late. No one to even speak to about our disappointments and take care of the frustrations at hand. I would be okay for what we paid for our venue, but in the end I'm not as St Johns displays themself as a prestige establishment, but in my eyes it's not. Hope they learn from this and treat other future couples better and not as a check they are receiving.

rtunately didn’t notice their mistake until about a half hour after when I noticed 30 people all got up and left around the same time. By the time they got the bar up and running again, we only had 20 minutes remaining of the hour I paid $1,600 for (not including tax and gratuity). My last dance had to be done from the middle of the line for the bar while we waited for our drinks to be poured. I’m extremely disappointed. I will also note that a lot of the issues our guest had were for the hotel. We only chose this site because of the Catholic ceremony space. If you are looking for a hotel venue that will be housing your guests, I would not recommend coming here. There are better hotels.

side greenery made it an ideal spot for a spring wedding. The mosaic ballroom had beautiful chandeliers and high ceilings which created a romantic and elegant feel for our reception. Leading up to our wedding day, we received an immense amount of help from Sarah, our wedding sales manager. She went over every little detail and answered all questions leading up to our wedding day. With the help of Michael and Austin, our cocktail hour and reception went exceptionally well. They personally made sure our wedding party was taken care of all night. They went above and beyond all night. The whole property is beautiful, staff was great to work with, this was the perfect venue for our wedding.

so kind and helpful with all of our questions throughout the entire process. Our ceremony was held in the new Garden Pavilion site on property. It was beautiful. We loved having everything at one location and our guests appreciated only having a short walk to our reception space. The Garden Pavilion Coordinators, Kathy and Katie, helped plan our ceremony timeline effortlessly and everything ran smoothly because of them. The newly renovated Mosaic Ballroom was the perfect size for our guests. We loved the layout of the room and we were able to set up early in the morning. The wait staff and bartenders were professional, efficient and helpful. The food is still being complimented and everyone loved the late night snack after all of the drinks and dancing! The grounds and garden spaces were beautiful. They elevated our wedding photos. There is so much to be said about this beautiful location, we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out :)

y. Everyone was very accommodating throughout the whole process - responding to many emails/phone calls and even giving us a virtual tour of the venue. Linda was our coordinator and we can’t say enough about how helpful she was throughout the whole process, taking a lot of time to help us figure out both the large & small details. We also worked with Janette, Stacey & Kathy for the ceremony planning and they were wonderful. We always had a clear idea of what needed to be done & they were very prompt with responding to our questions. The venue itself is beautiful, and having the ceremony, reception & hotel in one location made the day-of logistics so much easier! We also had a brunch the next day at St John's Resort which was a huge hit with our guests.

e venue as well as the cleanliness and service were all first class. We had her wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the resort as well as utilized hotel rooms for our guests. The bridal party was able to utilize the spacious suite to get ready which added to the fun. The grand ballroom is comfortable for almost any size wedding and the dance floor was spacious for all of our guests to enjoy. The appetizers, meals and desserts were all wonderful and well prepared .

ium was the most beautiful backdrop for our reception. We really enjoyed that we could host all of our wedding events in one place, from the rehearsal dinner to the send-off breakfast. It was so convenient to have our guests stay on-site. Christine, the Catering Director, was so helpful throughout the planning process. She was super flexible and thorough while we navigated several changes to our original wedding day plan. Our wedding was truly everything & more we could have hoped for. We are so grateful!

dding at St. Johns, the best for me though, is the people! Linda and her staff are truly amazing. Everything was PERFECT the day of - not a single issue. I am so grateful for Linda ! The venue is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL - so many amazing places for photographs. In addition, with the hotel right on site, it was perfect for all our out-of-town guests - once you are at St. John's you don't have to leave.

he sales manager, is available always and remembers you from the moment you meet her, and even recognizes you amongst a hundred couples at the food tasting. Our reception leader, Jen, was amazing and found us Red Bulls when our energy was fading, and our table Captain, Emerald went above and beyond in every way to check in with us and meet our needs. Kevin, one of our bartenders, made sure to demonstrate his enthusiasm for the new year and was a highlight of the evening for all of our guests. If we were to get married again, we would choose St. John's every time.

The convenience of having the chapel, reception room, and hotel all in the same building was priceless for both my husband and I, and the wedding guests. Christine was consistent and super helpful throughout the entire process from touring the venue, all the way to the wedding day.

the day I met with Linda Johnson, Executive Special Events Manager at Saint John's Resort, toured the property, and "landed" in the Atrium. Working with Linda was an absolute joy from our first meeting three months ago through our last guest leaving the night of the event. She's highly experienced, a great listener who genuinely worked with me on every detail (and I had many), and she was a ready resource to connect me with the additional vendors and services needed to pull everything off, including Saint John's audio/visual provider, Encore. The resort is a first-class venue that was warm and welcoming to our guests and provided outstanding customer service. I also want to personally acknowledge Dave Drouillard of Encore who was a blast to work with as he understood exactly what I wanted to do and delivered it. Saint John's has extensive food and beverage offerings and service options where I felt comfortable building a menu of exactly what I wanted... from unique and delicious appetizer options that my guests raved about, imaginative chef-attended food stations, and top shelf wine and liquor options. Linda was there to greet my guests and then my wife when I brought her into the resort for her surprise (she thought we were going out to a quiet dinner downtown) ... and it was such a joy to have everything perfectly as planned. The Atrium was decorated absolutely to perfection. Finally, I utilized the hotel as well for some out-of-town guests, and they were highly complementary of the accommodations. I'm already committing to return for our 50th! Thank you, Saint John's. You have a superstar in Linda.

and Michael, our waiter at the reception, was so accommodating. Everyone raved about the food, and we are so glad we ended up doing a late night snack. I could not recommend this venue enough for future brides. Our Friday night wedding in the Grand ballroom will always be so memorable.

nator would sometimes take weeks if not months to get back to me, my mother, and my mother-in-law. My wedding, reception, and rehearsal dinner were all at St. John's. This meant that we sometimes had questions about table sizes, room sizes, prices, etc. However, sometimes we had to wait a long time to get a response. When I toured the venue, I received a folder that had preferred vendors and quotes for the rooms and meals. However, I was never told any of the things that could be rented from the venue like chargers, table numbers, etc. When I toured, I asked about this and was told that none of it came with the venue. No one mentioned that I could rent anything from the venue. Therefore, I bought the chargers, chair sashes, etc. It would have been nice to know upfront that I could've rented these things. If I had known that, I would have done so. However, I was not told about this option until 3 months before the wedding. This venue should include everything that can be rented in their welcome folder. I bought beautiful chargers for the wedding table. However, the servers took my chargers from the table after the salad. I had never seen this done before at another wedding. The chargers should have remained at the seat for the dinner. I was angry about this because it felt like my money was wasted on nice chargers that just held a salad and nothing else. I also wish the venue had asked me what I would like done with any extra cake. I didn't think of this prior to the wedding, and I ended up not getting any of the extra cake after the wedding. I opted for a nicer suite than what they offer for free for having your wedding there- the Ambassador suites. This is a suite that I'm assuming many bridal parties use to get ready. However, the suites are poorly lit. They have a make-up room with no natural light. The bulbs were a yellow tint. My make-up artists were in agreement that it didn't make any sense. We ended up doing make-up in the dining area of the suite and hair in the dimly lit make-up room. This room was a good size, but it served no purpose if you couldn't do your make-up in it. For the rehearsal dinner, I had to do my make-up with my phone because the lighting was so horrible in that room. The room also did not have a full-length mirror. I had to ask for one to be brought up to me, so I could see myself on the day of my wedding. Thankfully, they were able to get me one. For a resort that specializes in weddings, these details matter. Overall, the place is beautiful and the wedding went well. However, these little details matter, and it made me think the venue was pretty good rather than fantastic or excellent.

da Johnson who was my coordinator for the reception, made sure that I was just giving her my choices and opinions for the reception and she took care of the rest! Kathy who was in charge of the ceremony and rehearsal made sure everything went smoothly with our large bridal party and Stacey Mason who is in charge of music helped work with me for each song of the ceremony. If you're looking for a "one stop shop", this is your place! We continue to get compliments on the food, staff and venue. Thank you Saint Johns!

wedding dreams the same because we knew the level of service to expect with St. John’s. With as difficult as wedding planning can be St. John’s is a one stop shop for most things reception related. It took a lot of the guess work out of that part of the planning process. Christine was our coordinator that stuck with us through the years and we couldn’t be happier. They are incredibly organized and ahead of schedule planning everything out, as someone that has trouble letting go of that control they made it so easy to navigate and truly cared. We had booked our rehearsal, reception and brunch with St. John’s and it made it so incredibly easy for out of town guests to park their car and not have to leave/navigate the area for the entire weekend. Every guest had nothing but positive things to say about being taken care of in every aspect of our entire event weekend. We also felt extremely taken care of as the bride/groom in ways we had not even thought of. I truly and honestly cannot say enough good things about this venue and their coordination. It made the entire process much easier than I have heard from many other brides. Not to mention, everything is meticulously maintained and has such gorgeous appeal. There is a vibe of elegance and class everywhere. Absolutely everything was on point from our guests arrival to departure. Thank you Christine and St. John’s staff for everything!

p and they were able to answer any and all questions we had. Their food tasting event was one of our favorite things we did leading up to the wedding. We were able to meet and sit with other couples who were in the midst of wedding planning at the same venue and that was so fun. Everyone who worked at the chapel was extremely friendly and helpful. Our ceremony ran extremely smoothly and they offered so much helpful advice at the rehearsal dinner The day of, everything went smoothly as well. The staff took such good care of not only me and my husband but our entire wedding family and all our guests. Michael made sure the entire wedding party had drinks in hand and everyone was constantly asking if we needed anything. I cannot speak to their attentiveness more! Towards the end of the reception the staff packed up and loaded all of our items onto luggage racks and took them up to our room. It was so nice not to have to worry about this at the end of the night. We were even left extra meals and an entire pizza in our room! The attention to detail at The Inn at St. John’s is handsdown the best! Not only was the staff attentive, this is one of the most beautiful venues in metro Detroit. Every angle of this venue/hotel has great backgrounds for pictures. The landscape/grounds are beautifully manicured. 10/10 would recommend! I would absolutely book The Inn at St. Johns if I ever needed a large event again. Every single person here is so amazing!

. All the staff were so kind and made sure we were attended to throughout our wedding. Michael served the sweetheart table and parents of the bride and groom and was phenomenal. He went above and beyond not only to serve us, but to help us with clean up and make sure we had food waitinf for us in our hotel room after the reception. We had the perfect wedding, in large part to the wonderful staff and the beautiful venue!

as organized (all the way down to how the food was brought out to the tables to our guests!), the venue was inviting, and everyone that helped plan our day (especially Christine!) made sure that our day went off without a hitch. We received so many compliments on the venue, ceremony and reception. I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking to have a elegant and romantic event. This is the venue and place to be!

hey fluff the dress and handle everything so the photographer can focus on capturing the moments. The manager in charge during the reception space was so helpful, asking if we, the wedding vendors, needed anything and assisted promptly whenever asked a question. They are great at transitioning guests from ceremony, to cocktail hour to reception making it for a great experience! Not to mention, the hotel rooms are great for getting ready photos and the outdoor spaces provide ample location opportunities for photos giving the couple a variety without having to travel!

We received raving reviews on the food from people at the wedding, and many people said It was the nicest wedding they’ve ever been to! I will say that It took many tries to get answers from the venue on questions we had throughout the planning process. Our coordinator was a bit difficult to get in touch with in the year leading up to our wedding. However, when you did get in touch with the event staff, they answered every question, were accommodating and helped me stay organized!! All-in-all I would definitely recommend using The Inn at St. John’s for your wedding, It was a magical weekend that we’ll remember forever!!

The chapel where we got married was amazing, gorgeous, one of a kind and I am so amazed by the ceremony. The reception was elegant, beautiful, and the Christmas Wedding we hoped for. The Servers were amazing always getting the drinks and they were always attentive to not only us, but everyone. The Food came out right after the toasts. Everything was amazing. It was the most amazing venue. If I could give it more 5 Stars and more. Book your wedding here! You will not be disappointed.

a send off brunch the morning after! The atrium was beautiful, all my dream came true when I saw the room, it was so nice to be able to spread out a little with the Samuel Room, and the Grotto for the cocktail hour. The service we received when planning our ceremony and reception were amazing and had support through it all. Stacy was a beautiful vocalist and violinist, she took our ceremony to the next level. The service we received during the reception was exceptional and received many compliments. Michael was the server for the head table, and parent tables, he was so attentive, making sure we had everything we needed, packed up food for us at the end of the night and made sure they were in our room, he was awesome. One area we did have a few hiccups with were the hotel, it was difficult to secure early check in ahead of time for our guests who were in the wedding, we brought hotel bags for our guests and not everyone received one, and lastly I was told I would get ready in the presidential suite or the ambassador room and when I checked in I was very disappointed to learn I would not be. As a bride if you are looking at the Inn at St. Johns and your dream is to get ready in the The Presidential Suite or the Ambassador room I would double and triple check your reservation status on your own even if your coordinator says they have it all taken care of. The reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was just the disappointment in the hotel room. If that would have gone off like it was promised we would have given it 5 stars, and the best ever.

as so easy to plan with Linda and her team. They were easy to communicate with and the whole event was a breeze to plan and turned out beautifully. The food was amazing! During the wedding process they had a wedding event where we can try most of the entrees and appetizers and pick out our food options. My guests said that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, it was tasty and hot!! Linda helped us pick all of our other vendors which was perfect as they had all worked at that venue before. We also had our rehearsal dinner as well as a send off breakfast brunch at the Inn at St. Johns. The whole team from the banquet staff to waiters to the clean up crew were amazing. the hotel rooms were beautiful and clean. Everything was so amazing. We would recommend this team and venue to anyone! Thank you!

When we visited the space and met with Christine to review catering options and Catholic mass requirements, the entire process was laid out in easy to follow bullet points. Walking out of our site visit with the Inn at Saint John's knowing a rough estimate of how much our wedding would cost, all of our meal options/special ad-on services, and all the guidance to complete our marriage prep through the Catholic Church - we knew this was our venue. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Not once was I bothered with questions or last minute details because the Inn had it covered. The staff was exceptional for our wedding ceremony and made us feel completely at ease. The grounds were the perfect back drop for our bridal party photos and they even offered our bridal party it’s own, separate cocktail hour. This was essential time for us to decompress and relax before the reception and hydrate/enjoy all the hors d'oeuvres! Our reception was INCREDIBLE. The staff was so attentive, friendly, and there was never a line at the bar. The food was delicious and served promptly. Our DJ (The Block Party) was very familiar with the Inn and we had the best party ever. The next morning we had a Send-Off Breakfast that was delicious!! I would 100% recommend the Inn at Saint John's - they will make your wedding day everything you dreamed it to be! Our friends and family rave that it was one of the best weddings they have been to!

Christine who was absolutely amazing. She was kind and thorough throughout the whole process. We love the Inn and what it offers as a wedding venue (Catholic chapel, reception area, and hotel), but the people who we were with along the way truly made it special. The day was so special and more than we imagined. Can't wait to visit the Inn every time we're in town.

ere tables were just stacked on each other like a fallen Jenga tower. Chapel was clean and ok but the halls literally outside were either closed off or limited due to surprise cleaning being done which halted our opportunities for pictures after the ceremony. Your special day would be better served at a Rochester Hills Burger King

and extremely knowledgeable. The chapel is absolutely beautiful and the food is amazing. There is also an amazing bridal suite that is incredibly spacious with lots of mirrors, a bathroom, and a gorgeous balcony view of the chapel. There is no natural light in the bridal suite though, so I would recommend doing your make-up before hand and just doing touch-ups in the suite. We highly recommend staying at the hotel if you're able to. The rooms are clean, spacious, and again, the service is exceptional. Our guests also raved about the restaurant's food!

Linda was attentive in calling us back and working out a date and space that would be best for our party. We went on a tour and left feeling very confident about our decision to have our reception here. We finalized the room and date and were told our date was secure and that we would be able to sign a contract as soon as their lawyer had put together a new one. It has been months and there is still no contract, and it has now been a full month since we have heard back, dispite multiple attempts to call and email for an update. I even asked if there was some other way to move forward in the meantime and was quite frankly ignored. After my experience I took the time to read through some other reviews and noticed that I am not the first one to experience this issue. And in 2017 they accepted responsibility for not responding and promised to work on their communications. Either this is not an actual priority or they are picking and choosing who to respond to.... either way it's deplorable and no way to run a business.

lpful, accommodating — she was absolutely amazing to work with! Due to COVID we dealt with a lot of set backs and changes and Linda was the best! I felt like I called her every day LOL and she always got back to me — she would always communicate any and all changes and we were so lucky to work with her during such uncertain times! She is a true asset to there team! I highly recommend working with Linda and the entire team at The inn at St. John’s — they are true professionals!!

ceremony and reception there, but things changed because of covid. Regardless, everyone was extremely helpful and understanding. Linda was amazing. I SO wish we could have had our reception there, but I know we will be back for another future event. The chapel and musicians were a dream. It could not have gone better!
