We found our venue through what felt like destiny. We had planned a backyard wedding for most of the year, but life shifted—and suddenly, we had no space and no time. Every venue w...
e called was booked. I was heartbroken, thinking we’d have to postpone to the next year. Then this place appeared.
It was pure magic.
Tucked in nature with mossy forests, a gentle creek, and that unmistakable PNW whimsy, it had everything we needed for an intimate wedding with family and close friends. Romantic, soulful, and somehow, it felt deeply blessed—like all the Asian traditions we hoped to honor had found a home here.
The owner was kind, accommodating, and incredibly supportive, helping us through the unexpected and making sure everything came together just right. It was also perfect for the many children we had—something we didn’t fully realize until we saw them running freely, playing by the creek, fully immersed in nature’s wonder. Because they were happy, the adults could truly relax and enjoy.
This place is more than a venue. It’s a sanctuary—and it now holds a forever place in our hearts.
We came across Saiuen Garden while searching for PNW outdoor wedding venues and are so lucky that they had our date available! We did our first walkthrough in the fall, when the le...
aves were changing and the air was a little chilly. We fell in love with the natural beauty and serenity that you could feel just by being there. We had our second walkthrough in the spring, when the salmon were swimming in the river & had our final walkthrough in early summer, the garden glowing with life, little ducks swimming and flowers blooming.
We booked a package that allowed us to stay at the accommodation the night before. All self check-in instructions were sent ahead of time, and we were able to get ready at the venue before the ceremony. I loved walking the riverfront before getting ready, just taking in the sights and having a moment by myself before it was go time. We had the most perfect, romantic ceremony backdrop with the river and mossy trees, and surrounded by the most beautiful ambient light and sounds of nature. All of our guests were raving about how beautiful our wedding was and how perfect it all came together.
And finally, I have nothing but the kindest words for Sarah and Yinyu at Saiuen Garden. Sarah gave us our first walkthrough, and you can tell right off the bat that she loves this place so much. The way she talks about the grounds and admires the changes in the seasons. She obviously cares so much about this place and sharing its beauty. We met Yinyu a little later in the booking process, but she was so kind and calm, her presence helped me stay assured that everything would be amazing. She helped coordinate things with our wedding planner to execute everything seamlessly. On the day of the wedding, Yinyu and Sarah were one of the first to arrive. I’ll never forget Sarah going above and beyond in helping me get some water while I was getting my hair done. She also fixed my dress train/veil as I was about to walk down the aisle! It was such a touching detail that I’ll take with me whenever I look back on my wedding day. I have so much gratitude for these two for making our wedding so perfect.
Saiuen Garden is a special place not only because of its beauty and intimacy, but by the people that work there. The care and love they have for it is evident in the way this place radiates with so much joy and warmth, we highly recommend! ♡
