atergate Hotel where I had my wedding. While the hotel was wonderful, I know a large part of how smooth and enjoyable my planning process, and the day-of itself is due to the "Wedding Guru", Michael Deltette. I could not have felt MORE taken care of throughout the entire process, including Michael helping me bustle my dress after the ceremony and making sure my new husband and I had everything we could possibly need. Michael is so thoughtful and has beautiful taste. You can't go wrong working with him!
Food was amazing. Venue is beautiful - even hurricane Irene did not ruin it. Although the package is costly, in comparison with other hotels of it's luxury standard, it was a deal....
For example, chivari chairs of your choice are included. And we had the option to go with our own wedding cake vendor at a slightly reduced rate with no cake cutting fee. Our event manager was great, maybe not 100% timely on her responses, but at least 80% of the time. On the wedding day, they did an amazing job.

xt level for many of my guests. It is also within walking distance of all of the smithsonian musuems in DC, as well as most monuments!;My only dissapointment was in how small the room was that was provided for my wedding night!
