I want to start by saying I was very excited to work with this vendor, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
We paid a...
bout $10,000 for catering for our wedding. To be clear, the food itself was not the main problem. It was decent, nothing amazing, but it was fine. The real issue was the dishonesty and lack of professionalism throughout the process.
We signed our contract at the beginning of 2025 for 200 guests. Less than a month before our November 2025 wedding, the chef told us we needed to pay about $500 more because food prices had gone up. This was in the contract, so although it was frustrating so close to the wedding, we agreed. We then asked if we could lower the guest count but keep the same total price, and he agreed. This changed the food count to 185 guests at the price we originally paid for 200.
From the very beginning, I asked if we would be able to take leftover food home, and I was told yes. I confirmed this again the day before the wedding, and the chef again said yes and told me he would bring containers for the leftovers.
On the wedding day, we had about 130 guests plus around 15 vendors, for a total of about 155 people. Based on the amount of food we paid for, there should have been around 30 plates of food left over. However, when my family went to collect the leftovers, the chef said there was no food left at all, which does not make sense given the numbers.
Several family members saw the catering team putting food into containers and loading it into their vehicle. My husband, the groom, personally saw food being taken out of the venue. Being told there was no food left, despite what was clearly seen, was shocking and upsetting.
On top of that, my father-in-law was told there was no main dish left when he went up to get his meal, even though he was seated at Table 2. This again does not add up based on the number of guests and the amount of food paid for.
Also, according to our contract, the catering team was supposed to remove all trash. On the day of the wedding, my sister was told they ran out of space for trash and that we would need to pay more money or deal with it ourselves. To avoid more problems, my uncles ended up taking trash home.
There were other issues as well that I am choosing not to include. When our wedding planners followed up afterward, the chef offered to cater an event for 20 people as compensation. I declined and I did not ask for any additional compensation. I did not accept his offer because it did not make up for the food that was taken or the services that were not provided. He also did not offer to refund or reimburse any portion of the food we paid for but did not receive.
Overall, this experience felt like repeated attempts to charge more money, and when that failed, not providing the full food and services that were already paid for. I strongly recommend staying clear of this chef and company.
