Salon & Spa 18 were the vendors we knew from day one that we wanted to be a part of our big day. Wing and his team were absolutely amazing- from the moment we reached out about information to the day-of when they were in the bridal suite with us. They are professional, delivered and contributed to us keeping on time with our day-of schedule, and made my bridesmaids and I feel like true princesses. Could not recommend Wing and his team enough!!!

Wing and his team at Salon & Spa 18 are miracle workers. Booking hair and makeup for a destination wedding is a challenge to say the least, but Wing made the process very easy and i am so glad i found him! Joanna and Mary slayed my wedding day glam and all my bridesmaids were extremely happy with how their hair and makeup turned out.

Wing and his team were professional and helpful throughout the whole planning process. I did my hair and makeup trial with them and it was so helpful! Mary did our makeup and she was amazing! I could not have asked for a better experience and everyone looked absolutely stunning!!

I wish there was a way to give 10 stars! Wing and his team were absolutely incredible to work with. From pre-planning to my trail to my wedding day and everything in between Wing made everything feel so smooth and easy. I had 15 women that needed his services by 2:00pm on my wedding day and last minute my groom also needed assistance and Wing never made me feel like it was too much. Wing is so creative and talented. He is so knowledgeable and thought of things that I never would of thought of, like switching my part to make sure it looked the best in pictures due to where the bride stands. I got endless compliments on my hair and it held up all night long. His team came to our venue and were so much fun to get ready for the big day with. I hope a find an excuse in the future to work with Wing again.

Wing and his crew were absolutely amazing. If I were to select one word (ouside of the actually quality which was 5 Star), it wouldl be ORGANIZED! When I informed our venue of the selection of Salon & Spa 18 as our hair & makeup venue - no other questions were asked. They simply said "oh perfect, Wing will take care of everything" I think that says it all.

I would highly recommend Salon & Spa 18. Wing and his team were so kind, professional and truly talented artists! I had a destination wedding in Myrtle Beach. I wanted to treat my bridal party to something special on my wedding day so I thought it would be nice to have everyone have their hair and makeup professionally done. I had a large bridal party of 8 bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, my grandmother. Wing has the best communication skills and made sure to connect with me throughout the planning process. I would highly suggest if you book the salon that you follow the checklist he sends out ahead of time because this makes the process go smoothly in the big day. Wing and his team traveled to the resort we were staying at and set up in our get ready room. I made sure to come prepared and gave Wing and his team a couple of hairstyle/makeup pictures to choose from for each bridesmaid since everyone’s length of hair and texture was different as well as makeup styles. Everyone’s look was completed to perfection. It was nice that they took their time and gave tips on how to make sure everyone look held up against the heat and humidity. Wing made me feel so beautiful with the intricate style I chose. He made sure every pin was in the right place, sprayed, and made sure that my hair would hold up and look beautiful all day long. He even went out of his way to put together a little gift box to wish me luck on my big day! All the little touches really made my experience memorable and I’m beyond thankful to Salon and Spa 18.

Wing and his team are the BEST! Salon & Spa 18 was recommended to me by my mother and I had heard nothing but great things from others! Wing is awesome with communication/response time, the contract is super clear, and he takes the time to understand exactly what you are looking for. His prices are very good for the quality of work you receive. On the day of the wedding, Wing and his team were on time, had plenty of people, and created gorgeous hairstyles for my bridesmaids, my mother, and me. We were all so pleased! My hair (half up half down) lasted all day and night from the ceremony (with a cathedral veil attached) through the reception. Thank you all so much!

I got married in Surfside Beach this past June and had a great experience with Salon & Spa 18! We opted for the team to come to our beach house for hair and make up on my wedding day….such a great perk! We had an awesome, stress free experience! I loved my hair and make up and highly recommend!

I would highly recommend booking this company for your wedding needs! Both hair and makeup were absolutely amazing for my bridal portraits and the day of my wedding. Sandra and Alexis were so easy to work with and listened to everything I wanted, making me feel gorgeous on wedding day. We had a very small/casual wedding in the heat of the SC summer sun. Wing and his team made themselves available at 7:30am so all our hair & makeup would be perfect for a hot, beach, brunch wedding! They were accommodating, supportive and attentive to each of our style needs. Via email they reminded us numerous times how to prepare for the day! We had 4 adults and 3 young girls, they did a fantastic job making the experience special for them too, allowing kids to be kids, all while not missing a beat styling us ladies. I can’t say enough about Wing and his team, they were professional and fun! Our group left the salon absolutely delighted with how stunning we all looked, glamorous and gorgeous yet still natural which was the goal. Highly Recommend Salon & Spa 18!

Salon & Spa 18 is definitely the way to go when getting hair and makeup done for your wedding! They were upfront with all prices and expectations which made planning and staying on budget simple. I was able to have a hair and makeup trial before my wedding which helped get all the kinks out before the big day! Thankfully, there weren't many kinks to get out because the stylist listen to what you want and are great at communicating throughout the process to make sure you are happy!

So glad that I was able to have Wing and his team at Salon & Spa 18 for hair and makeup on the day of my wedding! My photographer recommended them, and I'm so glad we followed her advice! He and Mary (makeup artist) were able to easily coordinate so that I could do my hair and makeup trials the same day, and make sure we were all on the same page before the wedding. Wing was very responsive and quick to provide me with the next steps in order to make all go smoothly (ex. contracts, follow up questions regarding numbers/locations, etc). He thought of everything that I had forgotten (ex. time to allot for travel, extra gals around the house wanting hair/makeup the day of) and was able to provide expertise regarding what kind of styles would work best for my hair of those I had in mind (in regards to length/thickness/texture/etc). Mary is so talented with makeup, and was able to match what myself and each bridesmaid wanted in terms of styles/colors/etc. Both my hair and makeup stayed in great shape all evening (despite the humidity). Even with more bridesmaids/family members wanting to get hair and makeup than we'd planned for, Wing and Mary had brought plenty of talented staff and were able to get us ready in plenty of time!

After doing my own research and checking out reviews I decided to reach out to Wing at Salon & Spa 18. He was quick to respond and so very helpful answering any questions I had. I sadly admit that the day before our wedding I had my one and only Bridezilla moment- Wing and JoAnna were so understanding, accommodating, and flexible. My hair and make up looked better than any picture I showed them! I received so many compliments! I'll attach a few photos to try and show you the amazing works JoAnna and Alexis did.

Wing is such an absolute pleasure to work! He styled my wedding hair, my mom and two children (ages 11 &14) and we were all thrilled with our results. From the first consultation, bridal trial to the wedding date, Wing and his staff made our experience so easy. Between bridal trail and the wedding date, Wing kept an open and timely communication to make sure we both know and agree what I wanted. He also provides great tips on styling based on my hair color and type. The makeup artist, Mary, was wonderful, too. I had to make last minute changes on my makeup. She was thoughtful, patient and accommodating. Wing and her made me feel beautiful and special on my wedding date. Highly recommended.

i’m a bride whose wedding was effected by covid-19! unfortunately i had to postpone my original wedding date and then had to cancel that date. :( BUT. Wing was great! so supportive with my changing of the dates and also with the cancellation. i was able to do a hair and make up trial with my maid of honor! If you are wanting to make your wedding planning as simple and worry-free as possible, then you need to book your Salon needs at Salon & Spa 18. Our wedding was to be held on 09/13/20 in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was to be a destination wedding. We booked Salon & Spa 18 on 03/03/20 after seeking out recommendations. Wing was our contact person throughout all of the planning. Unfortunately, because of the Covid outbreak, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the wedding due to the health and safety of our out of state guests. Wing could not have been any easier, accommodating or gracious to work with. We had booked the salon for 10 updos AND it was on a Sunday! Wing could not have been more understanding and prompt in returning our very large deposit. when we cancelled on 07/13/20. I am extremely grateful to him for all he was willing to do for us.

Wing Wong and his team are the BEST when it comes to hair. Wing is such a perfectionist! My hair was beautiful and held through the entire night, even when we took pictures in the hot July weather of South Carolina. Wing and his team were attentive and they listened to what me, my mother, my mother in law, and my bridesmaids wanted for our hair. They made sure it looked perfect, felt comfortable, and lasted all night. We all received endless compliments on our hair all night. I did a consultation and trial with Wing as well, and it was definitely worth it! We worked on my hair and talked about what I needed to do with my hair. Wing can make magic! He can do absolutely anything you ask! He was so easy to work with and super sweet. My girls and I looked beautiful! He coordinated the makeup artist as well which checked another task off of my list. I have known Wing for years, and as a Myrtle Beach native I can say with confidence that he has built quite a reputation for himself over the years. I would say that most of the grand strand would agree with me when I say he has a very unique and amazing skills with hair styling! Wing and his assistants at Salon and Spa 18 arrived early at our house on the wedding day worked on 8 hairdos creating each hairdo with every detail asked of them to perfection! Everyone arrived early and they were very professional. We were all able to show photos of the hairstyles we wanted and the stylists made it happen quickly! They also did a touch up for one bridesmaid who got caught in the rain! The wedding party looked great and I would definitely use them again for future events 😊

Wing and his team did our hair and makeup for my wedding on August 9, 2019. Wing stayed in constant contact with me until the day of and always presented himself in a professional manner. The bridesmaids all had different hair styles and everyone looked gorgeous. Wing brought his team directly to our venue so we didn’t have to travel everywhere the morning of the wedding. He could not have made that process go any easier. My hair hair was stunning! Wing gave me a romantic updo with baby’s breath. The makeup artist was a gem. Myself and most of my bridesmaids do not wear foundations or powders normally, but the artist made our makeup lightweight and flawless. She really knew how to draw out our beauty and was an absolute delight to work with. I would recommend Salon and Spa 18 to anyone. Not only is Wing talented with wedding updos, but he and his team are fantastic at hair coloring and cuts too! I’ve been going to Wing for years and will continue for many more to come.

From Chicago I was planning a destination wedding in Myrtle beach at Pine Lakes Country Club. I originally hired salon 18 for just make up services for my wedding day. Unfortunately two days before my wedding my hair stylist which was from Chicago told me that they were unable to travel for the services. In a pinch at my make up trial with Peggy I asked Wing if I could add hair services for 8 girls. The salon bent over backwards to help. Sandra came to the rescue to do my hair and most of the other bridesmaids, even Wing stopped by the venue to lend a helping hand. All the services from salon 18 including the make up from Peggy and Juli and hair by Sandra and Wing was AMAZING. These are the people you want on your special day!

Wing and his team were there for us on my wedding day. He kept in contact before hand getting the information they’d need so they could be prepared and then they got us in and out in good time, but still did an amazing job with mine and my bridesmaids’ hair! He was also very helpful when our car broke down and he gave us a ride back to our venue instead of leaving us to walk. Couldn’t be happier!!

Joanna did my hair and my bridal party's hair on site for my wedding. She did an amazing job and we all loved chatting with her while she worked. She checked with me throughout the process on how I was liking my hair and I appreciated being able to tweak little things as we went along. We all loved our hair and it still looked great after a windy ceremony on the beach.

Wing and his fellow stylist were out of this world! My hair was so gorgeous. Better than the picture I showed them. I also had my make up done and the lady they brought in to have it done was more than a professional. She was an artist. She made me feel so beautiful and natural. Wing was THE BEST!!!!! I have very fine hair and can never get it to curl or have volume myself. I went into my trial preparing to have Wing guide me on what kind of extensions I need to buy in order to get a full updo on my wedding day. Well, I don't know what kind of magic he's doing, but he made it look like I have A LOT of hair! I couldn't have been more pleased. The team he brought for the bridal party the day of were also impressive-one of the bridesmaids said it was the only time she'd ever had someone know how to work with naturally curly hair. Wing did such an amazing job for my wedding. He provided exactly what I asked for both at my trial and the day of my wedding. My hair was so beautiful. My hair is very thin, so he didn’t have a lot to work with, but somehow he turned it into a masterpiece!!! Not only is Wing, but his team is amazing as well.

Wing, thank you for more than just our wedding day hair! At the beginning of meeting Wing, my mother had fried almost all of her hair off by too many years of bleaching blonde. Wing, without a 2nd thought, told her to come to him and let him evaluate the situation. He stayed determined to help my mother repair her hair so that she could be mother of the bride ready & she looked absolutely stunning! Also, on the day of, he pulled out some hair accessories and was able to offer my daughter a little bling to add to her hair. He is so kind, gentle, caring, & most of all puts the extra care into truly taking good care of your hair. He's not just a fly by the night hair dresser. He is a professional that cares about what he does.

I would make sure that you have a very clear idea of what you want to look like on the day of your wedding. Wing was great, and ended up being pretty flexible - but at the start, he was very adamant on what would look best on me, rather than showing me what I wanted to see. I would recommend this salon to brides, and to others, but I would just either be pretty flexible and let him do what he wants, or have a very specific idea of what you want. If you were timid, I feel like this is the type of place where you'd be leaving with what the staff thinks looks best on you, rather than how you think you'd look best.

Wing and his team of amazing hair and makeup artists did an AWESOME job on my hair and makeup on my wedding day. They also did the hair and makeup of my bridesmaids, mother, and some of the ladies in my husband's family. You can go to the salon for this work or they will come to you for a reasonable on location fee. They worked efficiently to ensure that everyone's hair and makeup was done on time for photos and the ceremony, and everyone was happy with it the first time so no re-dos. Wing and his team work magic and give you Pinterest perfect hair and makeup. I didn't know my hair was capable of looking the way it did on my wedding day.

They were very professional. friendly, adaptable, and definitely got the day started on the right foot! I absolutely loved my hair and all of the bridesmaids were very happy with theres as well. I wanted a half up half down hairstyle and to incorporate my natural curls into the look and it was perfect! I would definitely recommend them!

I am not sure if words can truly express how great I think Salon & Spa 18 is with regards to color and styling hair. Wing Wong exceeded my expectations in every way and went far and beyond imaginable. From our first meeting, My daughter and I felt so comfortable and we knew he would create the hairstyle of my daughters dream! The consultation went exactly as planned. My daughter was pampered and Wing listened to her every wish. He was realistic with her regarding what types of hair styles would work best given her long coarse hair and the beach humidity. We decided to book him for the entire bridal party and I have to say it was one of the best decisions we made. On the day of the wedding he showed up early smiling with excitement! His friendly personality and caring nature instantly eased the nerves of the bride and bridesmaids. We could not have dreamed of anything better than what he did. All of the girls hair held all day, even with an outside beach wedding and the humidity. Wing is absolutely wonderful and has an amazing talent! He took so much stress off of me as the mother of the bride. I never had to worry. His communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process and that was not an easy task with the entire wedding party being from another state. Wing is the best! I met Wing at my cousin's wedding. Seeing how great a job him and his team did. I decided to try out his salon. Yesterday, I visit his place to color my hair. Love it!! I got tons of complement. In additional, the place were clean and very relaxing. Differently going back soon!

Wing and everyone at Salon 18 are amazing. Wing did my bridal party's hair and they all loved how it turned out. He came to us and stayed for hours making sure every girl had her own style, and it just made my day extra special. I have been a returning costumer ever since! I adore going for my regular appointments and partly because I love the shop! The previous review that mentioned a mildew smell is delusional and only looking for something to gripe about, because I have never been to a more pristinely clean or relaxing salon. Everything is designed around and for your comfort, and I've never smelled anything that wasn't amazing (mostly lavender, and the normal smells of shampoo and beauty products) and between the music and the tea or coffee they offer you, it's one of my very favorite places! As for Wing not listening to your requests, I can tell you that he and his whole staff are the upmost professionals and try their absolute best to give you what you want, but even the most phenomenal of professionals cannot read your mind, so be prepared to really explain what it is you want. And if you want something super super specific, bring in a picture and be upfront about it. That really goes for any salon! It's just common courtesy. He works wonders with my hair (which is very thick and unmanageable at times) and I always leave feeling beautiful. I will forever recommend Wing and his staff for weddings, events (they even do charity events) and just for regular appointments. It is a truly peaceful, cultured and high quality experience.

Was so impressed with Wing and his associates from Salon & Spa 18. They came to our location, arriving on schedule and in force. Everyone from flower girls, bridesmaids, to bride were treated to a fun, creative, hairstyle and make-up. They made getting ready for the big day magical.....

I liked my hair and one of my bridesmaids loved her hair, one liked... the other one hated it and cried... I think if you have a specific look you are going for have lots of pictures to support that look!
