Salon Bella Vita

After searching in the Tahoe area for someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, the rates were very close but Salon Bella Vita came out the winner as their $200 for the bride's hair and makeup comes with a free consultation. I really needed this so it definitely pushed me in their direction. Dee is the person who is supposedly responsible for wedding scheduling so per her instructions, I forwarded her contact information to my mom who wanted her hair done for the big day, and to one of my bridesmaids as my 3 bridesmaids also wanted their hair done. Unfortunately, Dee made it very confusing for them and told them all misinformation on who would be doing their hair. It turned into a slight nightmare and as I told my hairdresser, Danielle, she said that was to be expected when more than one person tries to schedule more than one appointment for one wedding. She pretty much blamed me for not coordinating all of the appointments. Then she asked me how I wanted my hair. I told her and she said I would look like a little girl and that she would just put it on the side. I showed her the Pinterest photo of what I was talking about and she again said it looked like a little girl's hairstyle. I got the feeling she just didn't know how to do it because it was obvious that the girl in the photo was over 30. She proceeded to do her hairstyle and it was great. I loved it so we took photos of it so she could remember on my wedding day. The wedding day arrives, she looked at the photos from the consultation and attempted to do it the exact same. She could not but got somewhat close. It was a bit disappointing but she was already running 45 minutes late and I didn't want to miss my wedding so I just took it like it was. The one thing I learned from my wedding and from my selection of vendors, you get what you paid for. Don't splurge on things that are important to you. It's not worth it.

Michelle Seeley was wonderful to work with. I received many compliments on my hair and makeup. I would work with her again and recommend her to others.

The hair and makeup for bridesmaids, moms and myself was perfect. They did not over due either one, and worked hard to make sure it was exactly what we each wanted. Very professional, on time and affordable.

Tara did an amazing job with my hair! At my consultation, she listened to my ideas and did a lovely job. I had pictures to reference and although I loved the bun, I wasn't found of the way my hair was pulled back. I let Tara know my concerns about a month before the wedding, telling her that I thought it would be best to straighten my hair to get the frizz out, then curl it for the the bun. On the big day, she went a step past my suggestions and even gave my hair some volume and texture. I loved it and couldn't have been more happy with the outcome

Jen and her team from Salon Bella Vita helped make me and my bridesmaids look simply fantastic. They were able to accommodate all 8 bridesmaids, the MOB, MOG, and my sister in law. Everyone looked amazing, and each had their hair done in a unique way that suited each person's style and taste. They worked amazingly with everyone's special request and the girls looked fabulous. The hair styles were modern, but classic, without being stiff or "wedding-y". We were a beautiful cohesive group. Everyone looked simply gorgeous. I loved my hair and it worked great with my dress. It managed to stay up all night despite dancing into the wee hours and looked perfect in photos. Thank you so much!! I'm so happy!
