I opted for three 30 minute facials and omg, I highly recommend it, because I have never had such beautiful glowy skin before. The whole experience was relaxing, and I left feeling confident and refreshed. Although they specialize in weddings, they also do special occasions, boudoir photos, makeup lessons, and blowouts so I’ll definitely be back. Bonus for brides - they have a huge beautiful store front with so many bridal combs and veils to choose from that are heavily discounted for their brides. My stylist helped me pick out my bridal comb at my preview appointment which was just perfect for my style. They also carry hair extensions, which I thought I would need but once my stylist did her magic, I actually didn’t need them. All their products and services they offer and the fact that they are open 7 days a week and easily accessible made the entire process so incredibly simple.

Salon Maison chooses the best makeup products from each line specifically for brides which is one reason I booked them. I loved this concept because after working at Nordstrom’s makeup counters for years I know that not one makeup line has the best of everything. I loved the brands they used on me which included some Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, and Urban Decay. Lydia listened carefully to what I wanted and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. I was so impressed with Lydia’s talent that I already referred her to a friend, and she’s booked Lydia for her wedding next year. I am so excited to work with her again on my friend’s upcoming wedding!

vices are great - I was going for a pretty natural makeup look and a nice half-up/half-down hairstyle. Our stylists did a fantastic job day-of doing hair and make-up for me, 2 bridesmaids, and my mother-in-law with plenty of time to spare. The frustration I had with Salon Maison was communication - there's really only one way to contact them (email) and only one email for the whole company. That meant a different stylist was answering my emails every time, often leading to a long and frustrating game of "telephone" where details kept getting dropped. Trying to add services and get questions answered was sometimes very frustrating and time-consuming. That said, they were relatively responsive - just don't leave anything to the last minute.

Katie even swooped in last minute to help the mother-of-the-bride with her hair. The groom also thought it was absolutely worth getting the Groom Touch-Up package, because he felt like all his facial insecurities looked so much better in the pictures because of it.

double booked me but didn’t let me know until after I drove an hour for my trial. Then they offered me a choice of some silly compensation gifts they claimed they would give me for canceling but everything I chose they said they were out of. The whole ordeal was pretty infuriating and stressful and very challenging to find someone else decent mid summer last minute. Why have someone sign a contract a year in advance if you can’t stick to your end of it? Don’t trust them with your wedding!

n Maison 5 stars, but their communication is sub-par. They are difficult to get ahold of, both by email and by phone. But they do fabulous hair and makeup and we were so happy with their services the day of the wedding.

However, the communication after booking their services was not great. I was never told how to make payments, and they had to re-draft my contract a week before my wedding because they had written down the number of bridesmaids and getting ready location incorrectly. Overall, they are much cheaper than other vendors out there, and that's for a reason. But! You get good hair and makeup, just a bit more stress.
