I had a great time with Lydia at Salon Maison. She worked magic on my hair and makeup! I went in wanting soft Hollywood waves for my hair, and Lydia delivered perfectly. The waves were voluminous, bouncy, and elegant, with just the right amount of movement ... true perfection! For my makeup, I asked for a soft glam look, and again, Lydia executed it flawlessly. Salon Maison chooses the best makeup products from each line specifically for brides which is one reason I booked them. I loved this concept because after working at Nordstrom’s makeup counters for years I know that not one makeup line has the best of everything. I loved the brands they used on me which included some Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, and Urban Decay. Lydia listened carefully to what I wanted and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. I was so impressed with Lydia’s talent that I already referred her to a friend, and she’s booked Lydia for her wedding next year. I am so excited to work with her again on my friend’s upcoming wedding!

As a professional makeup artist myself, I am known to be very particular about my hair and makeup, especially for my wedding day. So, I was a bit nervous about finding someone who could meet my high standards. But Katie from Salon Maison completely blew me away! Katie was right on time, incredibly friendly, and put me at ease right away. For my hair, I wanted a soft boho bun that felt romantic yet elegant, and Katie absolutely nailed it. The style was perfectly soft and textured, and it stayed in place beautifully throughout the entire day and night. But where Katie truly impressed me was with my makeup. I have some sun spots that I’m usually quite self-conscious about, but Katis’s contouring and coverage skills were out of this world! She flawlessly concealed my sun spots and gave me the most glamorous, radiant look. The contouring was perfectly blended, enhancing my features without looking overdone. My skin looked airbrushed and glowing, and I couldn’t believe how beautifully it photographed. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup, and it lasted all day through the ceremony, photos, and even the dance floor. Katie’s talent, attention to detail, and warm personality made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. I couldn’t have been happier with my bridal look!

There are four dedicated office staff members who take detailed notes, so throughout the planning process no matter who answered the phone, they were able to look at my account and jump right in and help me with whatever I needed. This level of consistency and communication made planning so much easier, especially when compared to other vendors where you often have to wait for a specific person to be available. The real magic happened on the day of my appointment. My stylist, Kat, had been with Salon Maison for several years, and it was clear why she’s so trusted and valued. She was not only incredibly skilled, but also so warm and easy to work with. She really listened to my vision for both my hair and makeup, and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Absolutely Stunning Bridal Makeup Experience! I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Salon Maison! I booked them for my wedding, and from the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in the best hands. My makeup artist was incredibly talented and truly listened to what I wanted. She used some Charlotte Tilbury products, which I absolutely love, to create the perfect bridal look that was glamorous yet natural. The Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter gave my skin the most beautiful, radiant glow, and the iconic Pillow Talk lipstick was the perfect soft pink shade for my wedding day. My makeup lasted flawlessly throughout the entire day, from the ceremony to the dance floor, even through all the happy tears! What stood out the most was the level of attention to detail and care that the Salon Maison team provided. They made sure every aspect of my makeup was perfect and kept me calm and relaxed throughout the process. I truly felt like the best version of myself, and the compliments were endless. I chose Salon Maison because it was a preferred vendor at our venue. Their prices are fairly reasonable and the minimum service requirement is low. Overall, the hair and makeup services are great - I was going for a pretty natural makeup look and a nice half-up/half-down hairstyle. Our stylists did a fantastic job day-of doing hair and make-up for me, 2 bridesmaids, and my mother-in-law with plenty of time to spare. The frustration I had with Salon Maison was communication - there's really only one way to contact them (email) and only one email for the whole company. That meant a different stylist was answering my emails every time, often leading to a long and frustrating game of "telephone" where details kept getting dropped. Trying to add services and get questions answered was sometimes very frustrating and time-consuming. That said, they were relatively responsive - just don't leave anything to the last minute.

I had my wedding hair and makeup done by Salon Maison and went with them because they seemed more reasonable than other stylists but it was my biggest regret of our wedding - I wish I had spent a little more and gotten a stylist who could make me look and feel beautiful on my big day. The stylist doing my makeup was so nice so I was hesitant to leave a review but I don't recommend Salon Maison if you want to have a modern or glam/sophisticated look. I suggest looking long and hard at the one star reviews. I was left looking like I was going to 90's prom and this is not an exaggeration - overly curled hair and very basic makeup. I felt like I had to micromanage the stylist and she asked few questions when we started about what I wanted. At one point I asked her to fix my eyeliner because it was smudged under my eye, so she fixed it and left another smudge while doing so. Her first attempt looked like it was drawn with crayon. I had sent them Pinterest boards prior and it looked nothing like it. Used really basic curling techniques I felt I could have done myself and many of the hair products were what I consider to be cheap drugstore brands - I was left with stiff, sad-looking hair with frizz. I wanted to cry when I saw it and deeply regretted not having just used my Airwrap and doing my makeup myself. My friend and I had to attempt to fix it ourselves. I think I had the worst hair in the room at my own wedding. *Furthermore*, shortly after writing a review, I received a cease & remove email from the salon threatening legal action and claiming false statements were made. They also took down my initial review so I had to submit proof of services to the Knot. I believe this shows a lot about the integrity of the company and am truly disappointed in my experience with them.

I hired Salon Maison to do wedding hair and makeup for myself and our full bridal party, which ended up being around 12+ people. I was a little worried since we had a big group, but they were AMAZING! So fast and efficient and we even got done ahead of schedule! They did such a great job! My hair and makeup lasted the entire day and night (even with lots of dancing!) Salon Maison was so easy to work with and I can’t thank them enough for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! Highly recommend them.

I had my makeup done by Salon Maison and I CANNOT BELIEVE I almost considered doing it myself?! I would've gladly paid five times as much for how happy I was with the end result. I was confident throughout the day that I was going to love the way my photos turned out. And I was right!  This place is THE BEST. I'm also a professional photographer and I tell all my clients that getting their hair and makeup done at Salon Maison will be the best decision they could possibly make to boost their confidence AND their love of their photos. I notice a huge difference in satisfaction with their photos between my clients who choose Salon Maison and those who opt to do it themselves or choose a less experienced team of professionals. Reach out to them early as their dates book up quickly!

After a horrific trial with an Instagram freelancer (total waste of money) I decided to call the pros. So happy I did cause I loved my hair and makeup, it was exactly what I had envisioned. Plus I was able to get my extensions, jewelry, shoes, and hair comb there for a very reasonable price. I stop shop and I was done. Everything was perfect!

The stylist from Salon Maison did an amazing job with my hair and makeup, she made me feel so beautiful on my big day. I appreciate how friendly and easy to work with she was. I did the Beautiful Bride package, and it was a great value. I highly recommend Salon Maison!

Salon Maison was the perfect choice for our Thornewood Castle wedding. It was extremely convenient to have a hair and makeup vendor that could assist our wedding party on-site. Our salon consultant was Katie and she was amazing to work with! She was so sweet and was brilliant at completing all of our hair and makeup requests. Katie even swooped in last minute to help the mother-of-the-bride with her hair. The groom also thought it was absolutely worth getting the Groom Touch-Up package, because he felt like all his facial insecurities looked so much better in the pictures because of it.

I had a great experience with Salon Maison in Seattle - my hair and make-up for my wedding was perfection and my stylist was so much fun! Highly recommend!

Communication was severely lacking. I never could reach anyone by phone; email seemed to work. I didn't love my trial, but I did end up loving everything on the wedding day (hair/makeup for me and my sister and flower girls).

What a pleasure to work with Kat and Brianna of Salon Maison at a recent Sept 2022 wedding. The bride + 6 bridesmaids were extremely pleased with the hair styling and looked gorgeous. Salon Maison coordinated the services from start to finish, including the bridal trial and the busy day-of schedule. We were also very impressed with Kat and Brianna warm graciousness and calm demeanor; it helped to soothe everyone’s wedding day jitters! We highly recommend Salon Maison and look forward to working with them again.

They were absolutely great and showed up early day of. The team was able to adjust to our changing service needs last minute without a hiccup. Communication was a little difficult at times and found using the Knot app to be most reliable for responses. Outside of that the service they provided was stellar for hair and makeup. Highly recommend Katy one of their consultants!

This salon canceled on me 3 weeks before my August wedding claiming one of their stylists was actively throwing up with covid. It was very clearly a lie and they had accidentally double booked me but didn’t let me know until after I drove an hour for my trial. Then they offered me a choice of some silly compensation gifts they claimed they would give me for canceling but everything I chose they said they were out of. The whole ordeal was pretty infuriating and stressful and very challenging to find someone else decent mid summer last minute. Why have someone sign a contract a year in advance if you can’t stick to your end of it? Don’t trust them with your wedding!

We all loved our hair and makeup for my daughter's wedding! The hair and makeup artists were so professional, creative, and absolutely did an amazing job. I would have given Salon Maison 5 stars, but their communication is sub-par. They are difficult to get ahold of, both by email and by phone. But they do fabulous hair and makeup and we were so happy with their services the day of the wedding.

Salon Maison did a good job on our actual wedding day! Both me, my wife, and our 8 bridesmaids' makeup and hair looked great and lasted the entire day. Some people were less than thrilled with how everything turned out based on the photos they provided, but I thought everything looked clean and professional. However, the communication after booking their services was not great. I was never told how to make payments, and they had to re-draft my contract a week before my wedding because they had written down the number of bridesmaids and getting ready location incorrectly. Overall, they are much cheaper than other vendors out there, and that's for a reason. But! You get good hair and makeup, just a bit more stress.

I have never felt more beautiful in my life! My hair and makeup was amazing and lasted throughout the entire day even in the hot sun!! We had a 3 o’clock ceremony and it survived! Communication was a little difficult because they were really busy, but when it was finally my wedding weekend, they supported me and made everything perfect!

Would not recommend for makeup. Difficult to get in contact with and did know how do makeup very well. I ended up doing my own eyeliner on my wedding day and I have no idea why I bothered having a trial for $150.

I first worked with Salon Maison as a bridesmaid in 2010, and when I saw that they were still around for my own wedding I asked them for a quote right away. Salon Maison definitely gave me the best value compared to other vendors in the area, and I had the reassurance of working with them in the past. There were a few administrative tangles that we had to work out the week-of, but other than that absolutely no flags. I appreciated their responsiveness and flexibility when I asked for complicated changes. My bridal stylist was Erin and I loved her! She was down to earth and a clearly experienced professional, I felt like I was in good hands. I genuinely enjoyed working with her, and she listened attentively to what I wanted and made changes without taking anything personally. It was so easy to work with her! I appreciated her input on the headpiece selection, and I have to say I think the one we picked was fabulous. I felt beautiful on my wedding day, and I got so many compliments. My friends and family were styled by Melissa and a third stylist who's name I didn't get (sorry!!) who both did a great job listening to what everyone wanted and creating a look that was individual and gorgeous. I was so thrilled with how everyone looked, and they all felt beautiful, which is all I had hoped for!

Not only am I mother of the bride, but also part of GordonDuo.com, wedding planners in Seattle. Katie was our hairstylist for my daughter's wedding last week and we could not have been happier with her work. I see weddings from start to finish and a pretty hair do is terrific but a durable hair do is a necessity. Katie's work was both - a full 5 stars!

I wish I had filtered the reviews a little better before as I think all the 5 star reviews at the top gave me a false impression of the company. I am extremely torn because the day of the wedding, everything went without a hitch. Our two HMUA's were very friendly, kind and were attentive to everyone's requests. Everyone, including me, looked stunning all night. The artists themselves are truly professional and they even got done a little early and we never stressed on time. But every day trying to work with the salon prior to the wedding was a nightmare, purely because of the lack of responsiveness and communication. It seems to me like they don't have anyone designated to answer emails or phone calls as I would leave multiple messages and not receive a response, sometimes waiting for 5 weeks! This seems to be a common complaint by a couple other people and I unfortunately have to agree. The only time I got any type of prompt response was when I was also offering to pay part of our bill. By the time I was having my doubts about booking them, I had already paid off our entire bill (and any amount paid to them was conveniently non-refundable) and thus could not get them to respond to any of my messages. It took an annoyed email and having to DM them on Instagram to get anything moving. If you MUST book with them, I recommend that you learn from me and not pay your balance until the final due date. That way, if you need to pull out, you won't be losing as much money. They also recommend you book your pre-sessions a week before your wedding but I recommend you book it before the final due date in case that doesn't go well as well. They have it written into their contract that any money they get from you is yours forever so you want to be be sure they are the salon for you before paying them. They also don't send you any information on pre-wedding prep, like how to care for your skin and hair the months beforehand so just know you'll be getting the bare minimum of what a HMUA team typically does.

We hired Salon Maison for our September 2021 wedding and we have no regrets! Two stylists came to our venue and we really appreciated that they were relaxed, gentle, and timely. They were easy to work with and did a really beautiful job on hair and makeup. You can't go wrong with this vendor!

The girls at salon Maison did a fantastic job on all of our hair and make up. I didn’t have an exact idea of what I wanted and they still nailed it. They were able to drive 3.5 hours out of Seattle and arrived on time and finished early even though we added a service last minute.

I'm honestly really disappointed with my experience with Salon Maison over the last couple weeks. I was stood up four times when I had arranged phone calls at a mutually agreeable time to get more details. When I was finally able to connect with Celeste and confirm that my date was available, I emailed to book services right after speaking to her. In the two days that it took to get a response from them, the date was booked over by someone else. I have tried calling the salon probably close to 20 times since I first emailed but it consistently went to voicemail, with none of my calls returned even after leaving messages. I understand that things change quickly and that it's a really busy season, but the lack of timely communication has frankly been unprofessional. I'll be looking elsewhere for my wedding hair and makeup.

Wanted to write a short note because they got back to me super fast and were super helpful. Even though they weren't available my date - they offered other services and still gave me some great advice on preparations!

I would highly recommend! First off, I received excellent customer service during these COVID-19 times. They were very understanding when we had to postpone our wedding. When we finally picked a new date, they were very responsive and quick to answering questions and adjusting my contract. I went to the location in West Seattle. Katie was my consultant and I was so happy with her work during the pre-session. I showed her a few reference photos and she did a great job with the look I was going for. On my actual wedding day, Katie also listened to a couple small changes I wanted to make and I was very satisfied with the final look. We had terrible weather so Katie made sure that my hair and makeup would stay put. And she definitely delivered! After the ceremony, we held a brief celebration outside, and I am still shocked at how well my hair and makeup held up in the crazy wind and rain! I cannot express how happy and beautiful I felt on my wedding day.

Shoutout to Salon Maison for their prompt responses. Sarah was my beauty and hair artist and she was the sweetest, very easy to work with and able to create the look I wanted. My wedding day make-up and hair came out much more beautiful than the trial day. Special thanks to Celeste ( Manager) for being so accommodating to my requests. I would strongly recommend them.

Salon Maison came recommended to me by our coordinator and I also met them at the Seattle Wedding Show. My consultant Sarah was absolutely phenomenal! She was so kind, flexible and responsive to changes both at my pre-session and day of, and she completely NAILED everything. Sarah arrived a little early to set up and was done early on the day of, and she did an amazing job with everyone's hair and makeup. She took every precaution during a stressful pandemic and put us all at ease. Sarah, you're the best!! And absolutely everyone at Salon Maison was incredibly nice, flexible, professional and comforting during a very stressful time. Some of the logistics got a little mixed up during the process, but it was always resolved and Celeste and Cindy are incredibly quick to respond. Yasmin also did a great job with my first eye lash extensions ever! I love them and I'm definitely coming back :) Thanks so much to the entire team at Salon Maison!

I can't tell you how much I appreciated Yasmin on our big day! She was the absolute best and I have never looked so good! Our bridesmaids and mothers were also blown away by how amazing the team was. Yasmin perfected my look during my trial hair and makeup appt and recreated it perfectly. They are total pros dealing with many people and hectic day of wedding scenarios! It truly took a village to get us ready and out the door. If you can work with Yasmin, I HIGHLY recommend it!!

There were a few vendors we were willing to spend more money on, and hair and makeup was one of them. Photos and videos are all you have after the wedding and we wanted to make sure we'd look good in them! Salon Maison did not disappoint. Rosanne was my main stylist and she did such an amazing job with my hair and makeup. We did a trial a few weeks before the wedding, which I was happy with, but I made some big changes just a couple nights before the wedding and showed her pictures morning of. I don't know how she did it, but she did exactly what I wanted. I have a lot of hair and don't usually wear a lot of makeup and Rosanne did everything perfectly. My mom and most of my bridesmaids also got their hair and/or makeup done and everyone looked beautiful! Rosanne and her assistant started at 7:00 AM and we were all done by 12:00 PM. Everything stayed where it was supposed to throughout the day (our wedding ended at 11:00 PM). There were some loose curls here and there (it was WINDY our wedding day), but everyone still looked gorgeous. The only con was that we paid for my husband's hair to be done, and we did not think it was worth the money spent. He thought he could've done a better job himself. His hair was flying all sorts of directions during photos (but again, it was very windy). But all of the girls' hair and makeup was perfect. I'd hire Salon Maison all over again! Just leave out the groom's hair service. If you're looking for hair and makeup artists, don't hesitate here! They may be more expensive than independent contractors or stylists, but you pay for what you get and I was over the moon with my hair and makeup. Salon Maison helped me feel extra beautiful on my special day!

I am so glad I chose Salon Maison for my wedding! Jasmine was fantastic, and my entire bridal party had amazing hair for the wedding. Since I planned the wedding from long distance, I wasn’t going to have time to do a trial shortly before the wedding and instead had a trial (hair and makeup) nine months in advance. They did a great job replicating what I wanted and adapting to variations in hair and skin because they were so far apart. I was treated well they prioritized what I wanted, making sure I knew they were willing to redo anything or make any changes I asked for to ensure everything was perfect for me. My stylist even remembered our conversations from nine months earlier and had stayed on to get me ready as her last ever bride before leaving to go on to nursing school. They did an exceptional job.
