I loved my hair and makeup done by Erica and Fielding for my wedding! They both really listened to what I was looking for and did a great job with my family also. Having them come to the venue was perfect because I was able to have a relaxing morning getting ready rather than rush around from place to place.

They did an amazing job with all of the hair for my wedding day. Everyone’s hair looked beautiful. They had 3 stylists so everything flowed very nicely and everyone was done on time. Would highly recommend for any wedding!

After originally thinking I had a year to plan my wedding, life with the military made me plan it in 3 weeks. I immediately panicked and didn't think I would be able to book Salon Moxie to do my hair in that short of time, but Amanda rearranged her whole schedule and went out of her way to make sure I could still have everything I wanted. She made time to not only do a trial beforehand and do the style on my wedding day, but also made the time to give me a new cut and color in the days beforehand so that, even though time was short, I didn't have to give up the look I wanted. I am so glad I chose Salon Moxie to do my wedding hair and makeup. Amanda is AMAZING! She truly cares that you get the exact look you want and really works hard to help make your day special.

I have been going to Salon Moxie for years and am always SO impressed with the quality of services that I receive. I have been going to Amanda for years and knew that she had to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. Amanda and her team came on-site to do our hair and makeup - everyone LOVED how they looked. Amanda and her team made everyone feel beautiful. They helped keep us all calm the morning of as well! I would highly recommend Salon Moxie for your on-site or off-site wedding services. PLUS, you can't beat the organic products!!!

I knew that Salon Moxie would be my choice for hair and makeup as soon as I got engaged! I Love their friendly atmosphere and professionalism. Many of my girls showed the stylists pictures they had found from pintrest and I can't believe how they were able to recreate the looks. The Stylists are up to date and knew how to listen to our needs. Also, I loved that we were able to bring in snacks and drinks into the salon to start the day off right! I felt comfortable and relaxed which was so important to me. I also cant say enough about their organic makeup line. I cannot believe how well it stayed and how it gave such beautiful photo finish look to all of the girls. I would highly recommend this salon for all your styling needs. Thank again Salon Moxie!

My experience with Salon Moxie was fantastic! Tracy has been doing my hair for many, many years and I am happy she was able to be there on my wedding day. She had taken my pictures and vague description of what I wanted and did my hair EXACTLY as I had wanted. As for their makeup services, they are equally amazing. I typically don't wear too much makeup. I had a trial run and later found my mascara smudging and my foundation greasy. I expressed my concern and they had made adjustments. The day of my wedding, my makeup looked flawless! Also, their fake eyelashes that they use are not the strip ones. They glue them on in small chunks to make them look more natural.

I loved how my hair and makeup turned out from here. They were really fun and friendly, and I had a good time getting ready. They weren't too expensive, and were great about making sure that we were getting a good value for our money! I felt beautiful, my bridal party looked amazing, and I was very happy!

Salon Moxie is phenomenal! I am writing this review for my bridal updo in particular, but this salon has impressed me on so many levels that I refuse to go anywhere else for my hair and nail services now. Salon Moxie was professional, knowledgeable, timely, and accommodating on my every request and far exceeded my expectations; the ladies of Salon Moxie are truly masters of their craft. Arriving at the salon for my trial updo was a lovely experience. The salon itself has a homey/modern vibe with a great central location near downtown Traverse City. I was greeted with a smile from the receptionist and offered a hot cup of coffee or cucumber-infused water as I sat down (nice touch)! My stylist was wonderful; she was right on time and helped me to relax as I settled in. As a full-disclosure, I can’t imagine I was an easy client. I truly wanted to be, but I simply didn’t know exactly what I wanted. My stylist was friendly and extremely knowledgeable, but most importantly, she listened. Her updo solution to what I was trying to describe was exactly as I hoped, and she demonstrated great skill and experience along the way. By the time I left, I was absolutely sure I had made the right salon choice for my wedding. The day of the ceremony went seamlessly. Salon Moxie arrived on-site (early even!) and finished my bridal updo and make-up, as well as the bridesmaids’ in the time they said they would. The bridal team from the salon were wonderful to work with and were somehow able to perform their job smoothly and efficiently around the chaos of that morning. My hair and make-up couldn’t have been more perfect, and I adored my French pedicure that I received earlier in the week. Thank you Amanda and Heather! Last but not least… the PRODUCTS! Seriously, they are amazing. Salon Moxie offers natural, organic and vegan options in nearly everything they carry. The cosmetics they used on me were all organic and derived from flower petals – so cool! The make-up didn’t cake, wasn’t greasy, and best of all, it made every photo of my face look almost photo-shopped. Amazing stuff. The hair products were equally as fabulous. My ceremony took place on a beautiful day, right off of the water, but it was WINDY. My gorgeous ringlets stayed intact all day long, and more importantly, they were still soft to the touch (I hate crispy hairspray hair)! I was so impressed by their shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray, that they are all I use at home now. I would definitely recommend Salon Moxie...I would give them 10 stars if I could!

The ladies of Salon Moxie are awesome. They are up-to-date with all the new hairstyles and make up at a reasonable price. I used their services for myself, bridal, party and mothers for the day of our wedding. They let us bring drinks and snacks in the salon and relax while we were getting glammed. The salon is clean, relaxed, and too cute. The stylistists were very nice and made sure everyone was happy with make-up and hair. The hair styles held shape and style for the whole day and night!! The make-up was even better and I still looked fresh after 4 hours of dancing/sweating.

Very impressed with how they worked with our very large wedding party! Highly recommend ....Every single person was happy with their hair and makeup! The eyelashes are amazing! I was a happy bride!

I couldn't have been more pleased with the service and experience I had during my practice run and day of result! Amanda listened carefully to what I wanted and asked the right questions that made me feel comfortable and fully confident in trusting her. There is a lot of pressure to look and feel beautiful on the big day, and Amanda exceeded my expectations! She gave me feedback and idea's to make sure I would be happy with our end product. The relaxing (yet fun with champagne) environment of the salon was perfect for the countdown of the hours until I walked down the aisle. All my bridesmaids were done in time with no rush or stress of being late. Something always goes wrong the day of right? Well I was beyond thankful that the beauty portion was of mine was the most flawless part of my wedding!

Myself and my bridal party had our hair and make up done at Salon Moxie on the day of my wedding. I had both a hair and make up trial done prior and was very happy with how they turned out and knew I would not be disappointed on my wedding day. I could not have asked for better service from Amanda and was ecstatic with my hair and make up. I have one of those sisters that is never happy with her hair and she couldn't believe how could it looked and how well it stayed throughout the day. Something that was also very important to me was staying on schedule. I am glad to say that we made it to the church with time to spare! Lastly, the experience as a whole was one I am just very grateful to have had the morning of my wedding. We were able to bring food and drinks to the salon which made it feel like such a relaxing and fun morning with the girls. I definitely recommend Salon Moxie for the quality of hair and make up as well as the experience.
