Audrey at Salon Spice is INCREDIBLE!!! She gave me TWO trials to make sure I loved my hair and the style the day of was absolutely perfect!!! She traveled to my location for getting ready and is the kindest, sweetest girl. She did hair for my bridesmaids and aunt...it was wonderful to spend my wedding day with her! Highly highly recommend Audrey!!!

I found this salon on The Knot so I called and spoke with a woman. She took my information, got my bridal party scheduled for day of, and my trial run. I came in a few days later for my trial run with a "designer stylist". From the moment I walked in the door I was rushed horribly by the stylist; she didn't even use my veil to try on with my hairstyle!! She just kept telling me that day of it would be so much better. How was I supposed to really know that if she wasn't doing her best at that time!?!? Then...during my trial they didn't have on the books to do my makeup too. So, they put me in with someone else who squeezed me in and did my makeup. This wasn't even the one who would be doing my makeup for the wedding! Also, during my makeup, they ran out of my color and the airbrush machine was not working properly! Finally, I chalked it up to me being picky. Then, I called to pay my final balance a week before as stated in the email, she told me I could pay day of, and she didn't have the times written down for the girls to arrive! So needless to say I am extremely disappointed in what I have seen! I have a disability and feel they took complete advantage of me! I found someone else to do MY hair and makeup, and am ONLY using their girls for the day of my wedding for bridesmaid’s hair. WEDDING DAY UPDATE: The girls showed up on time and prepared. They set up and were completely done with 4 bridesmaid’s hair in a matter of 20 minutes! They completely rushed through everything and did not listen to anything the girls wanted. I am extremely furious and very unhappy with my experience at Salon Spice. I would NOT recommend wasting your time, money, or anything on this salon!

I had called and stopped in a variety of places in the area to see about doing make up & hair for a wedding. There really are not a lot of places to go in the Olathe/Lenexa/Merriam area that provides all the services or willing to do Wedding hair. I had a trial run of hair and make-up about 6 weeks before the wedding. I did have to ask the makeup be toned down to a more natural finish for the wedding. Wedding Day- I was a little worried on my wedding day when the stylist wasn't there 20 minutes into my scheduled appointment. I had to be out of the salon by a specific time in order to do the other things that were necessary for wedding day. The other stylists noted and while one called, another started getting me prepped for the BIG DAY. They found the previous photo I brought in and started away on the hair. Stylist did show up and was very apologetic (she normally doesn't work at 9:00 AM). She was able to get my hair and make up done on time and me out the door. People loved the hair. BTW- makeup was softer as well. Yes, I would recommend them. Wedding package I wouldn't necessarily purchase. I chose an a la carte option and it worked well for me.

My hair & make up trial went really well. The girls showed up on time & were very efficient getting all the girls ready on time. They came prepared & did a very nice job on everyone. Service packages are well priced but need to be more flexible/ creative.
