Jason was wonderful--dare I say, instrumental??--from beginning to end. He was recommended to me by another DJ who could not accommodate our date, which to me says a lot. He was very helpful and responsive. I very much appreciated him checking in on us throughout our wedding day, and helping out the wedding party with the day's timeline, etc. Music was one of the most important parts of the wedding for me, and I believe Jason recognized that; he made sure every detail was tailored to what we wanted. I would absolutely hire him again without a second thought!

The Salt City Sound Machine was the perfect choice for a DJ for my wedding. Jason was AMAZING and truly made the night by keeping the energy alive, and helping to produce a great playlist. He sought my input for the songs I wanted to play and didn't want to play, and he respected that - he played all of the songs I requested, as well as a few that he artistically added, and he took requests from guests as well! He was communicative and responsive throughout the process, which helped alleviate a lot of stress during the wedding planning process. All of my guests really enjoyed him as our DJ , and we did as well. You can't go wrong with him!

From the start Jason from Salt City Sound Machine was professional and personable from the start. One of our first questions my now husband and I asked him when we first reached out, was if he was LGBT friendly (which he is!) Up to the ceremony we were in communication and he answered any questions we had. The day of the wedding his one think he said he was amazing at was keeping people on the dance-floor which he delivered. Everyone had an amazing time at the wedding and loved the dance-floor all night. His additional packages were so lovely and added a special touch to our reception and you should definitely take part in those packages.

Jason is amazing he made my wedding perfect ! We had a mix of age groups and he mixed the music up to fit everyone and he was a great MC !!!! He also got an amazing pic of my husband and I during our first dance ! I highly recommend booking for your wedding or next big event !!! So many good things to say about Jason. He was responsive and easy to work with which was so helpful during stressful wedding planning. Everyone was on the dance floor all night - except for when the fire alarm went off in the reception hall. But Jason didn’t let that stop the party - he went to his car and brought out an amp and played music in the parking lot. He went above and beyond so happy we went with him for our wedding.

Our wedding was the best ever, and a massive part of that goes to Jason from Salt City Sound Machine. I had been searching for a DJ for weeks and was so nervous to book someone I’d never met and had no personal reviews of. But he was highly rated and award-winning, extremely reasonable cost-wise, and overall ended up being an absolutely brilliant choice. One of my biggest concerns was that we had both the ceremony and the reception in the same space, and I didn’t want anyone to get bored. Well, Jason kept us all partying until the last second. He was easy to work with, professional, engaging, and knew how to read a room. He kept everything flowing seamlessly and went above and beyond every request. He also sent a personalized gift afterwards, which was so touching. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We hired Jason for our wedding in August 2022. He was AMAZING to work with from start to finish. Jason is organized, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. He made the process easy by having an informative meeting where we went over the contract, discussed the wedding, and asked/answered questions. We then had another meeting closer to the wedding where we shared specific music choices and scheduling. On the day of the wedding, Jason was ready and prepared hours before the ceremony started. He made a wonderful impression on our families, bridal parties, guests, and the staff at our venue. Jason did exactly what we wanted and more. The dance floor was full all night and everyone had a wonderful time. After the wedding, Jason kindly sent us some wonderful keepsakes. We 100% recommend Jason for weddings and events.

Jason was an amazing DJ for our wedding. Being that my family has Caribbean roots, Jason had a tall order to fill to mix reggae, soca and punta into his playlist. He did an exceptional job. I've known Jason for 30 years and that was enough for me to trust him when it came to mine and my wife's wedding day. I knew he'd take care of us the way we wanted. What I (and my wife) didn't know was just how much we needed Jason. He is truly a master at his craft. He knows when to get the party going, and when to calm things down. He knows what the timelines should look like and gives you helpful advice on this subject. Most of all, he makes it personal. On a wedding day, this is so important; and Jason makes you feel like you're the only couple that's ever been married. From a personal standpoint, I can't say enough about my friend. From a professional standpoint, he's worth every penny! Out of 10, he's an easy 100!

We were absolutely thrilled with how awesome of a DJ/MC Jason was! He had great music for pre-ceremony, he was on cue for everyone walking down the aisle and had an amazing tiny microphone for our ceremony/vows that allowed everyone to hear us (200+ people outside) without holding a mic! He supplied cocktail hour music when needed (we also had live music during this time) and really got the crowd hyped and excited for our intros! He was on point for speech intros and first dances and keep our dance floor PACKED all night with music we both love and we are picky! He felt the crowd for good moments for cake cutting and bouquet toss checking in with us as well, so it flowed nicely. He let my (now husband) sing for the crowd after a guest request and generally all around was SO fun and flexible and wonderful to work with!! We recently hired Jason for our August wedding, and we truly only have GREAT things to say about Jason & his DJ services! Our wedding was played by Jason in October of 2020. Getting married during a pandemic certainly comes with challenges but Jason could not have been more flexible with our changes. Our pre meetings were effective and thorough and the day of could not have gone better. Even when it started to rain, Jason ducked under a table to save his equipment but to also keep the party going until we got him some cover. I have been to other weddings with Jason as the DJ, pre-COVID and those are just as awesome too. Jason is full of energy, and his focus is the bride and groom and making your vision and event fantastic! 5/5 STARS for Jason- you will not regret hiring Salt City Sound Machine for your special day!

We just had Jason DJ our COVID wedding. Even for the restrictions we had, he did such a great job and entertaining the crowd and MC'ing! I've received many comments about how great of a job he did. He was very flexible to work with which is what everyone needs planning a wedding this year. He provided mics and sound for our ceremony, including a mic for my brother playing guitar. Overall, would suggest SCSM to anyone getting married!

Jason at SCSM is absolutely wonderful! From our first conversation with him, we knew we made the right choice; he was kind and responsive and anticipated any possible question we could have had. Later, we had a phone call with him about 1 month before the wedding as we live out of the area now, and he helped us prepare the timeline for the wedding evening and reviewed our music selections. He appreciated our musical taste and the vibe we wanted to create to both represent us as a couple as well as entertain our guests all evening. The dance floor was alive from the moment dinner ended ’til the lights went on 3+ hours later, playing a wide range of music for our wide range of guests. He very obviously adhered to our requests (even some pop punk for us!) as well as our do-not-plays, so we never had to worry. He made everyone laugh without trying to steal the show throughout the night, gave my nervous sister (MOH) a pep talk before her speech, and just generally made us feel comfortable and taken care of all evening. Not only did he rock it as our DJ, but he officiated for us as well for a very reasonable additional fee, which saved us the hassle of also finding an officiant. We wanted a short and sweet ceremony, and he delivered exactly that, while simultaneously nailing the ceremony music. Afterward, he took care of tracking down signatures and sending in the license. During and after, our wedding guests gave us so much positive feedback on Jason! He’s so professional, personable, and just all-around excellent at what he does. Cannot recommend him enough! He isn't any ole' DJ that hits "play" on a playlist and sits back all night- he will engage your guests and make CERTAIN they're enjoying themselves. Jason was a pleasure to work with. From the first meeting to the wedding he was on time and prepared. He kept the party going from the ceremony to the reception. You do not even have to give him a play list and somehow you will love everything he plays. I danced the entire night along with many other guests at our wedding. When we were lined up for introductions I kept hearing the crowd cheering. Later I found out Jason was having the sides compete on who was the loudest to get them pumped up. SCSM was one of the first vendors we booked based on all of his positive reviews.
