The staff and food have always been wonderful - the cocktails and food in the summer have always been delicious, and staff are super helpful, friendly, and make everything run smoothly! This is my favorite place to visit each summer and I can't wait for my next wedding there this July!

From a vendor perspective, the space is incredibly well laid out and functional, allowing the day to flow effortlessly. The setting provided beautiful light throughout the day, endless backdrops for portraits, and a relaxed yet refined ambiance that allowed Kristin & John’s celebration to feel intimate, joyful, and timeless. The blooming lavender and garden spaces were a dream to photograph. What stood out most was how the venue enhanced the entire experience—not just visually, but emotionally. It gave the couple and their guests space to slow down, connect, and truly savor the moment, which translated beautifully in the photos. I would wholeheartedly recommend Saltwater Farm to any couple looking for a stunning, serene wedding venue in the San Juan Islands. It was an honor to capture a wedding there, and I would love the opportunity to return.

ay with us on the property. We had our reception dinner and welcome drinks in the garden. We had our ceremony on the lawn. And we had our cocktail hour and reception at the barn. Each space is beautiful. The events manager was easy to communicate with and answered the questions she could. The only major issue we ran into was the general manager left her position leaving it up to the owner to assume her responsibilities. The venue now offers their own bartending services which he had a really hard time getting info about and a quote. We had an initial consult in early March, but did not receive a quote until weeks later after multiple emails and texts. All of this was not wrapped up until the week of our wedding which is far from ideal. Overall, we had an amazing wedding and the time of our lives. On a side note, we loved our coordinator, Becki Day, recommended to us through the venue. She was a pleasure to work with was loved by all!

garden - each location is better than or equal in awe to the last. It truly felt like a fairytale from start to finish. The beauty is unmatched and photos do not do it justice. The staff, specifically Savannah, Hannah, Jenna, and Casey - were stellar. Savannah as our planning lead was an absolute energizer bunny and brought so much joy to the process; she was willing to work with our huge bridal party, all our crazy ideas, a really tough timeline - and did so with so much kindness. She's a rockstar. Hannah, the new Bar Lead - is incredible. We went back and forth a ton about the bar options (which I believe are now solely in house) - and it's a good thing - because they don't need to bring outside bar in. Hannah and her team crushed it - they made, and I quote, "some of the best cocktails we've ever had" - according to MANY of our guests, and even with a 140 person wedding - they kept things moving and flowing and everyone raved about how quick, well-thought-out and organized the bar experience was. Lines, if any - were short - and the bartenders were friendly and fun! We had the best experience overall and we would 10/10 recommend SWF to any couples looking to get married!!!!
