Searching for a photographer for our wedding was a challenge for us - mostly we are not big 'photo takers'. Christine at Salty Broad Studios was suggested to us by our planner and we are so glad we decided to go with her! She was communicative, friendly, easy to work with, and a lot of fun! She did a wonderful job with our engagement, and wedding photos, we actually loved pretty much all of them. I was actually amazed how we barely even noticed she was there most of the time, and was like 'Wow, i didn't even realize she got that moment!' - so if you're more of an introverted type, Christine's style would honestly be perfect. We cannot thank her enough and everything was truly amazing!

When planning our small wedding ceremony in Cape Cod from New York, one thing my (now) husband and I cared about deeply was finding a good photographer. We are both uncomfortable with being the center of attention and have been a part of weddings with photographers who were mean to the wedding party, took terrible photos, or genuinely left the bride & groom disappointed. We wanted someone who could capture us and be a part of our day. Once I found Salty Broad Studios, I knew there was no need to look at any other photographer. Christine was the photographer I wanted. She and her colleague, Gretchen, knew exactly what we wanted and understood the candid and joyous moments we wanted to capture. The photos Christine and Gretchen took truly captured the happiness, the sweet, and the personalities of us and our entire wedding party. The quality of their work was beyond my expectations and I still look at my photos in awe of what they captured. They are my favorite photos and my husband and I could not be happier that we went with Salty Broad Studios.

Salty Broad (Christine) was an amazing vendor to work with. She was easy to contact, responsive, and warm. Always professional. She handled my family + his family **amazing** on the day of (a feat!), organized multiple second shooters after one dropped out, helped us get coverage of our rehearsal dinner, provided TONS of great recommendations for other vendors - as we were planning our wedding from out of state this was irreplaceable and generous (she recommended our welcome drinks + food truck, menu items at our venue, hotels (literally helped us secure our waterfront room), DJ etc.). I really can't say enough good things. Christine's photography style captured the ~~ mood~~ of our wedding day. When I look back at the photos, I remember what it ** felt like ** on the day of the wedding, and she captures the laughs/ tears/ joy and emotions of the day better than any other wedding photographer we've seen (and we've been to loads of weddings/ seen tons of photos). If you want to capture the *feel* of the day - more so than have particularly staged photos or heavy edits- this is definitely the choice. No regrets on not having videographer for this exact reason - when I look at her photos I can really feel the day. She was on time for everything, thought of everything, was good-humored, and *IMPORTANT* calming & easy to be around (day of that ended up mattering a LOT). afterwards she got us our sneak peaks in a timely manner, photos in a timely manner (despite us getting married at the literal peak of wedding season) and we recently received an absolutely stunning wedding album that we will CHERISH forever. I really can't emphasize enough how important it ended up being for me that the photos remind me of what it felt like to be there on the day, more so than that everyone is posed in a certain way or edited into oblivion. Our whole family has commented on how special that aspect is and it means so much. 100/10 recommend Christine.

We are so happy to have connected with Christine from Salty Broad Studios and cannot rave about her enough to our friends! From day the planning stages, to the engagement session, to our wedding day, Christine made us feel like we had always been friends with her easy going demeanor, expertise, and fun personality. Christine was an absolute pleasure to work with. She captured all of the moments we wanted and beyond. She was so kind and helpful in our planning meetings and plenty of our guests commented on how great she was during the reception. We highly recommend Salty Broad Studios as your wedding photographer. Christine was extremely professional, punctual and incredible with time management. We only hired Salty Broad Studios for four hours, but she captured a lot in that amount of time. She took pictures of us getting ready, the ceremony, family pictures after the ceremony, and the beginning of the party. She asked us to send her a list of the pictures we wanted and with whom. We had so many requests that we thought for sure she would not be able fit them all in the hour we had set aside for them. Surprisingly, she managed to do all the ones in our list and then some, and we were done five minutes before schedule so we could go down and join the party. Christine is warm, kind and responsive. The photos beautifully captured our special day.

Christine was totally amazing! We loved her from our first meeting with her. She was very responsive and communicative and helped us prepare for things like the detail shots of the dress, rings, etc. It was of course a little hectic when she arrived the day of the wedding, but she jumped right in and got to work without needing me to stop what I was doing and direct her. The second shooter she hired, Jackie, was also amazing and got some incredible shots of my husband getting ready. The photos came out INCREDIBLE. One of the reasons we went with Christine is because of her speciality in candid photos, and they did not disappoint. Looking at the photos, they totally captured the magic of the day; it felt like I was reliving every perfect moment. She went above and beyond to get some incredible posed shots as well, from climbing down the jetty into the ocean at low tide to get a shot of us from below to creating a perfect shot of us through a porthole window in the door to the bar. I 100% recommend Christine for your wedding photography. She clearly loves what she does and goes above and beyond to make sure our perfect day is captured forever.

Christine was excellent! We had a very small wedding, so she was able to get a lot of very personalized photos. She had great suggestions on where to take pictures prior to the ceremony, and everything came out beautiful. We couldn’t be happier! We would recommend her for any wedding on the cape!

Best photographer ever! Christine Hochkeppel @ Salty Broad Studios was everything we could have asked for, and then some! Christine is so sweet, personable, professional, replied promptly, engaging and the list goes on and on...At the last moment my now wife & I decided we wanted our 3 dogs in some of the photos, and Christine was great, and got some wonderful, heartwarming shots with them. She also was wonderful with our 16 month grandson. If we ever needed a professional photographer again, we wouldn't hesitate to call Christine again. She's the whole package. She will help make your day perfect, and give you beautiful, lasting memories!

I don’t even know where to begin! I planned our wedding long distance. Everything was perfect! So professional and on top of things! Our photos are phenomenal! I wish I could give more than a 5 star rating because they are off the charts!

Christine is incredible. From the first planning call through the last dance, she was professional, relaxed, and completely on top of everything. She is an absolute joy to work with. Christine is an incredible photographer. The photos from our wedding day are absolutely amazing. Christine's prep and communication made me feel so prepared for my wedding day. One of the most important things to me was making sure taking photos did not take up too much time on my wedding day and candid photos were captured. Christine absolutely nailed this - most pictures taken, I didn't even realize she was there!

Christine was extremely professional, responsive to phone/email, and went out of her way to ensure she was working with us in a way that worked best with our style. I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW GREAT CHRISTINE AND SALTY BROAD IS! From the start of planning through the wedding day, we had so much fun with them. Christine was so communicative and responsive as I was an out of state bride, so all of our meetings were on zoom. She was so patient and accommodating, making us super comfortable and really worked to build a relationship with us and get to know each of us individually. On the wedding day, we had Christine shooting the bridal party during the day and the second photographer was snapping photos of all the decor, guests hanging out and playing games at the venue, and then the groomsmen getting ready. Christine has an amazing eye for detail and lighting and really helped me feel comfortable with my insecurities in photos. Christine kept us right on time through our family pictures as of course it was quite hectic getting a big group together. She made sure to snap photos during private and candid moments of my husband and I and those are some of the best shots! Christine had our sneak peeks back to us 8 days after the wedding. EIGHT! I was not expecting them so fast but we were not disappointed. I can’t wait to get the rest back next month! You cannot go wrong with Salty Broad Studios!

Christine was THE best. My fiancé and I have never really been in front of a camera and she made us feel completely comfortable throughout the shoot. Not to mention we picked a shoot location that involved a mile hike in rising tides... Christine was in the water at times to get the best angles! We could not have asked for a better photographer. Christine at Salty Broad Studios was absolutely wonderful to work with. We felt super comfortable with her from our initial virtual meeting, and her photojournalistic style impressed us. She was organized, communicative and professional, guiding us through things to think about leading up to our wedding day. She was punctual on the morning of our wedding, and even thoughtfully brought some photogenic umbrellas that we used during a rain shower for our first look. She knew our venue (The Lighthouse Inn) very well and had helpful suggestions on the best spots for photos. Christine collaborated well with the other vendors and made sure we were on schedule. Neither one of us is typically all that comfortable in front of the camera, but Christine's calm, laid back and fun presence made us feel comfortable. It was raining on the morning of our wedding but cleared about 15 minutes before our outdoor ceremony, and Christine was flexible and accommodating. We had fun taking the group photos and couples shots with her, and she worked very hard to capture many beautiful candid moments throughout the day. The light changed about 50 times during our wedding, from rain to bright sun to rain again, and she adjusted seamlessly and got beautiful shots through it all. We appreciated the quick turnaround on the sneak peak too, and we loved how our photos came out. I'm thankful that she was available on our wedding date and would love to work with her again in the future! Highly recommended.

Christine was the best. She showed up on time. She talked with me on the phone beforehand for a long time getting to know me and what I was going for. She captured everything and she captured it so beautifully. She also sent me the prettiest engraved USB with my photos all on it. Everything was super professional but also she's a really cool person. I highly recommend hiring salty broad for any event but especially a wedding. Loved her!

Working with Christine was an amazing experience! I initially found Christine when looking for a family photographer on a trip to Cape Cod. We loved our family photos so much that when we needed engagement and wedding photography she was the first person we thought of! I don’t even know where to begin with the reasons why we love working with Christine. We are not people who love having our photos taken but she made it feel comfortable and even fun. We ended up with so many amazing pictures from the wedding, many of which captured natural moments and genuine expression of emotions. Christine even drove down to VIRGINIA because she knew we really wanted to work with her. We got previews of photos as soon as when we were on our honeymoon and then not much longer before we got all of them. Christine has been patient with us as we try to find all of the photos we want for our album and provided us with a sample album to help us get started. I can’t wait to see the finished product. From start to end, Christine had helped us stay on track for planning and preparing for all of the photos we want. We would highly recommend working with her, especially if you love naturally beautiful photos, lots of candids, and a relaxed enjoyable experience.

Christine was a DREAM to work with! We changed our wedding plans pretty last minute to have a midweek family wedding on the Cape over the summer, and Christine was our first and only photographer interview- we knew she was the one! She understood exactly the wedding we wanted and recommended so many wonderful local vendors, had the perfect locations to shoot on the wedding day, and wrangled our huge family, ranging in age from 4 months to 93! She could tell when my husband and I were getting overwhelmed and knew it was time for a break, a drink or some shade. Not only was she super prompt in getting our beautiful photos back to us after the wedding, she went above and beyond to help our family members get the pictures they wanted ready for holiday cards- 5 months after our wedding! Christine is an absolute professional and all around amazing person!! From our initial conversation, I felt like she was a friend already and knew we were in good hands (never having professional pictures done before, I had no idea what to expect!) and going to have a lot of FUN!! Christine tailored a package for us to what we were looking for, we added engagement photos which we did at sunset at Skaket Beach which came out spectacular. And then came our wedding at the Nauset Beach Inn, Christine and her colleague were on the ball from the minute they arrived, kept us on schedule, wrangled family, reminded us the position to hold our flowers haha, made sure we got some specific photos we wanted at the beach when the weather started to get a bit foggy, they turned out fantastic!! All the pictures are just wonderful and we are so grateful to have found Christine to document our day!

Christine was wonderful! She was so communicative prior to the event, and very responsive to any ask we had. We organized our event by ourselves so working with organized vendors was a huge help. Our event was a low key affair and we had Christine come out to a welcome dinner and the wedding itself. We loved how different the photos from the events feel, really capturing the vibe of each.

Christine at Salty Broad Studios captured our mini COVID beach wedding over the Summer (July) and we couldn't have been more thrilled with how the pictures came out. Since we were in Texas and had to travel up to Massachusetts for our wedding, Christine was able to meet with us over Zoom and answer all the questions we had and even brought up some good pointers we didnt think of. She scoped out the location a few days before we were going to arrive as she wanted to be able to know what locations for photos would be the best. She was flexible with changes to the plan and went with the flow of DIY wedding day, without any coordinators help. She was funny and definitely made the day a bit brighter by being there. My husband and I are so grateful to her for being able to capture the most beautiful and magical day of our lives. Thank you, Christine!

Christine is truly an amazing photographer and, added bonus, an amazing human! We hired her for our micro wedding in Hyannis this summer because I was looking for someone that knew how to capture a wedding with the eyes and heart of a photojournalist. Despite not knowing our location until 2 days before, and having other restrictions and requests amid the pandemic, Christine was incredibly flexible, kind, and empathetic. Even when I called her the day before stressed about possible rain, she was open to us moving our ceremony day and working with us around it (luckily, we did not have to move it!). Not only are we thrilled with the beautiful moments she captured, but she also lovingly let us borrow the trellis he wife had made for their wedding the year before!! How kind is that? Given the intimacy of our small pandemic wedding, it was so nice to have a photographer that was a true part of our ceremony. She knew all the tricks to getting our niece and nephew to smile and pose, and hustled around the beach to cover every angle of our ceremony. Do not even hesitate to make Christine a part of your special day!!

Christine is a fantastic! She recently took our engagement photos and we love them. It was a cloudy, windy, and cold day but you would never tell from the photos. She even managed to capture perfect shots with our 2-year old puppy who would not sit still! I highly recommended Christine. The day of the wedding, it was pretty windy which made it challenging for my bridal party and I to get the shots on the beach we were looking for, but Christine didn’t even flinch! My fiancee and I had the best experience getting our engagement photos done by Christine! She will be photographing our wedding as well, and we can't wait! She made us both feel so comfortable and entirely ourselves throughout the photo shoot experience. We couldn't have imagined anything better! My fiance and I cannot say enough great things about Christine! She truly captured one of the most memorable days of our lives (surprise engagement) while completely keeping it under wraps the whole time. She met with my fiance a few days prior to our surprise engagement and also helped him setup the beach where it was taking place on the day of. Christine was amazing to work with. Since we did not have a planner/coordinator she was really great working directly with us to make a game plan, meeting us ahead of time. Gretchen (second shooter) was great and made the guys feel super comfortable and got some amazing shots of the ceremony! We had 13 children and 12 adults in our bridal party and both have large families, so corralling was a feat! However, there were quite a few great shots to choose from! Christine’s ability to capture the candid moments of the reception is incredible! We have so many great shots from the party! The photos themselves came out beautiful and so quickly! Worth every penny!

You can not pick a better photographer than Christine! She was right there to capture every special moment of our day. I received my pictures via email yesterday and can not stop looking at them. Christine was awesome! Any photographer that would put waders on and go in the cold ocean in October to take action shots of our trash the dress polar plunge should be hired for everyone’s wedding. Honestly Christine was amazing. She talked to me about our vision and cared deeply to understand what were the most important parts of the day for us. She was flexible and just an absolute joy to work with. And the pictures, are nothing short of perfect. We had a less traditional wedding and she managed to tell that story, and I find myself constantly revisiting all 600 plus pictures.

Honestly, there isn't anyone who compares to Christine for a personal, thoughtful, comprehensive, and meaningful approach to wedding photography. Christine met our family, listened carefully to our plans, and more importantly understood what was really important about the venue, the flowers, the food, and the relationships. All of our events were captured perfectly and she was able to identify the most poignant parts of our wedding without being prompted because she listened and understood our unique desires. Now we have a beautiful photographic story of our wedding. I don't often get to say this - but photography by Christine was our best wedding investment.

Christine was wonderful to work with all around- Professional Punctual Organized Pleasant And most importantly she took amazing photographs of our actual wedding that truly represented the celebration and were not staged. She kept us on target so we could take all of the photos we wanted while still being a part of the celebration and not removed from it. Her equipment is top notch and showed in the quality of her work. She was very flexible in working with us and also offered great advice and guidance to help our day go smoothly. Christine is FANTASTIC. My pictures came out great- like a dream really - and she's so easy to work with, so laid back but extremely professional, she;s flexible and literally ran outside of the venue with me to catch the sunset for myself, the groom and our families. She captured the essence of our day without us even feeling like there was a camera in our face or the awkwardness you can feel when you know you're being filmed. I would use her again and again.
