Not only did she photograph our engagement, she was flexible and thoughtful as we decided to do a small wedding during the first months of the pandemic, and even joined us down in Maryland for the reception two years later. She is a joy to work with, observant and caring, quick-witted and responsive. She always finds the best moments to capture, and photographs them in a way that has brought tears to our eyes multiple times. She made excellent suggestions but also listened to us as we described the kinds of photographs we wanted and the ambiance of our wedding. We left the event knowing we would hire her. Our initial impression of Danielle was right- she was amazing to work with throughout the engagement, wedding, and after. We had an engagement session with her in Salem, MA and she went all over the city with us capturing gorgeous photos in a variety of locations giving us many unique pictures from just one photo session. As our wedding planning fell during the pandemic, Danielle was considerate throughout the year. She would check in to see how things were going and when it was looking like we may need to cancel our original January 2021 event, she was super flexible and excited about our idea to move the event up to October 2020 to have a smaller and safer wedding outdoors. Danielle followed all state-mandated guidelines to ensure our guests were comfortable and safe. She was so organized and thorough taking family photos. She captured the perfect details from the event, including sentimental keepsakes that were part of the day and warm hugs at just the right moment. Danielle shared some gorgeous previews with us to get us excited about the gallery and shared the full gallery in a timely manner within her contracted timeframe. We keep looking at the gorgeous photos and reliving the day. The best part of all, she truly did capture gorgeous lighting to enhance every special moment! We are so happy we chose to work with Salty Raven Studio!

not enjoy having our photos taken. Danielle really made us feel like we could be ourselves; she is so fun to be around and has such a warm personality. The photos from our engagement session and wedding are filled with genuine smiles, happy tears, dynamic movement, and an artful use of the light and scenery surrounding our venue (The Red Barn at Hampshire College). We have remarked a number of times on how well these photos capture our dynamic as a couple and the way that we interact with each other in real life. Danielle was extremely organized and thoughtful in helping us to make a plan for our day. There are a number of tiny details that we might not have considered without Danielle's experience and expertise. In many ways, she elevated the overall experience of the day. As we've weathered all the strangeness of 2020 Danielle's photos have been a bright spot in our lives. g. My husband and I decided to still have our ceremony on the original date with our immediate families and our Rabbi (since that kept us at 10 people - the max at the time). Unfortunately, we thought that meant we wouldn't be able to have Danielle with us to take photographs, which also meant we wouldn't be able to have some of the special wedding moments that are often created with the help of the photographer (getting ready pictures, the first look, family portraits, etc.) Two days before our wedding, Danielle emailed and said that she could still get great photos while social distancing, and she was right. The shots that she took of the day were absolutely gorgeous. She found creative ways to capture getting ready shots without entering the house. She cleverly set up family photos that were socially distanced but not awkward. She captured some of the most intimate moments while being well over 6 feet away. Thanks to Danielle, our Covid ceremony evolved into the wedding of our dreams. Whether you're having a micro wedding or a massive celebration, Danielle will be able to bring out the beauty in the day!

People at the wedding, including us, found her so funny and personable that we forgot that she was the wedding photographer! We knew that was the kind of vibe we were going for on our own day and set up a time to meet up. Our initial consultation with Danielle took place in a coffee shop where we shared delicious drinks and baked goods and she offered up tips on the best places to eat after business was conducted. Our engagement/adventure session with her was one of the most entertaining days we had this summer, where (with her upbeat and calming presence) she managed to take gorgeous photos of two people who were somewhat camera shy and PDA adverse. By the time the wedding rolled around we were so comfortable with her and her camera she managed to take plenty of smoochy shots that we don’t even remember happening! Danielle was a joy to work with-incredibly organized, thorough, and cheerful. And her photos are stunning!

Getting to know her through the planning process was such a pleasure. She is thorough, organized, responsive-all the must have in a wedding vendor, however she goes above and beyond all that. We did a first look, and she was so incredibly efficient and organized which was impressive considering my large immediate family and the large amount of children.
